Background:Spatial variation of land cover can result in the changes of community similarities and biotic homog-enization,whereby the increasing similarity would reduce the adaptive capacity of biotic assemblages to further disturbance,and degenerate ecosystem services they ***,it remains scarce to integrate multidimensional diversity for unveiling how variations in land cover may influence the patterns and processes of biotic homogeniza-tion in the *** this study,we examined how spatial variation of land cover could alter taxonomic,phy-logenetic and functional homogenization of bird communities simultaneously in a compound ecosystem of Zoige Marsh on the eastern Qinghai-Tibetan *** as the largest alpine marsh and peatland in the world,Zoige Marsh has undergone great changes in the land cover pattern due to climate change and anthropogenic ***:We conducted transect surveys for bird communities over six years(2014‒2019)during breeding sea-sons in four main land cover types(meadow,woodland,village and marsh),representing the spatial variation of land covers in the study *** compared multidimensional diversity(taxonomic,phylogenetic and functional diver-sity)among land covers to assess the effects of spatial variation in land cover type on bird communities,particularly whether this variation has homogenized biotic ***:Bird communities during breeding seasons were different and complementary in the four land ***,phylogenetic and functional similarities were significantly lower in meadow than in the other three types,***,village and ***,when we controlled for the effects of taxonomic similarities,the pattern of phylogenetic similarities almost reversed,with the highest standardized effect size(SES)phylogenetic similarity in meadow;and we found no significant difference in SES functional similarity among land ***:Our results suggest that spatial variation of

In this study, the positively and negatively charged culturable bacterial aerosol concentration and diversity were investigated both in indoor and outdoor environments. For both positively and negatively charged bioaerosols, the air samples were collected into different regions of two agar square plates using an electrostatic sampler （1.1 kv/cm） at a flow rate of 3 L/min for 40 min. The collected bacterial aerosols were cultured directly on agar plates, and the colony forming units （CFU） were manually counted. In addition, the CFUs were washed off from the agar plates, and further subjected to polymerase chain reaction （PCR） and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis （DGGE） for culturable diversity analysis. The results revealed that the positively and negatively charged culturable bacterial aerosol concentration and diversity strongly depended on the sampling environments. In indoor environment, negatively charged culturable bacterial aerosols dominated （p-value=0.0489）, while in outdoor environment both polarities appeared to have similar concentration levels （p-value=0.078）. PCR-DGGE analysis showed that positively charged culturable bacterial aerosol DGGE patterns were very different from those of negatively charged regardless of the sampling environments. In addition, positively charged culturable bacterial aerosols were found to have more phylogenetical similarity with those positively charged collected into different regions of agar plates from different environments, and the same was observed for negatively charged. Outdoor culturable bacterial aerosols were shown to have more bacterial species richness than those indoors. The information provided and the technique developed here could have great implications in electrostatic sampling and control of bioaerosols, and open a new arena for studying airborne microbes with different charge polarity
