Sulfonated poly（ether ketone）s containing 3,5-dimethyl phthalazinone moieties （SPPEK-DMs） with different degrees of sulfonation （DS） were synthesized via direct polycondensation from 4-（3,5-dimethyl-4-hydroxyphenyl）-2,3- phthalazinone, 4,4＇-difluorobenzophenone and 3,3＇-disulfonate-4,4＇-difluorobenzophenone. The chemical structure of SPPEK-DMs was characterized by FTIR and 1H-NMR. Thermal stability of SPPEK-DMs was characterized by the thermogravimetric analysis. The membranes prepared from SPPEK-DMs exhibited ion exchange capacities （IEC） ranging from 0.93 mmol.g-1 to 1.86 mmol.g-1. Water uptake, swelling, oxidative stability and methanol permeability of SPPEK- DMs membranes were investigated. SPPEK-DMs membranes exhibited high oxidative stability. The methanol permeability values of SPPEK-DMs membranes were in the range 5.15× 10^-8-6.61×10^-7 cm^2.s-1, which was much lower than those of Nafion117. The proton conductivity of SPPEK-DM40 membranes was 1.1 ×10^-2 ***^-1 at 70℃.

A series ofpoly（aryl ether sulfone ketone）s containing phthalazinone and biphenyl moieties were synthesized by aromatic nucleophilic displacement polycondensation of 4-（4-hydroxylphenyl）（2H）-phthalazin-l-one （DHPZ）, 4,4＇- dichlorobenzophenone （DCB）, 4,4＇-dichlorodiphenyl sulfone （DCS） and 4,4＇-biphenol （BP） in different molar ratios. The obtained copolymers were characterized by different instrumental techniques （FTIR, TGA, DSC, WAXD, etc.）. The inherent viscosities of these polymers were in the range of 0.43-0.56 dL g^-1. They were amorphous and had good solubility in polar aprotic organic solvents. The copolymers exhibited high glass transition temperatures （TgS） between 225℃ and 256℃and excellent thermal stability up to 517-526℃ （thermal decomposition temperatures for 5% weight loss, Td, 5%） in nitrogen. The tensile strength and elongation at break of the polymers ranged from 63 MPa to 71 MPa and from 18% to 21%, respectively. The processability of the material was effectively improved by the introduction of biphenyl group into polymer backbone.

The direct polymerization of an unsymmetrical kink non-coplanar heterocyclic diamine (1) with various aromatic bis(trimellitimide)s (2a-e) using triphenyl phosphite and pyridine as condensing agents could generate a series of new aromatic poly(amide imide)s (3a-e) containing the kink non-coplanar phthalazinone heterocyclic units in the polymer main chains with inherent viscosities of 0.58-0.66 dL/g. The polymers are readily soluble in a variety of solvents such as N,N- dimethylformamide, N,N-dimethylacetamide, dimethyl sulfoxide, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone, pyridine and m-cresol and can be cast to form flexible and tough films. The glass transition temperatures of polymers (Tg) are in the range of 301-327°C, and the temperatures for 5% weight loss in nitrogen are in the range of 498-521 'C.

Based on several unsymmetrical, twist, noncoplanar phthalazinone-containing monomers 2a-2e and an active bis（4-fluorophenyl）phenyl phosphine oxide （BFPPO） monomer, a series of novel poly（phthalazinone ether phosphine oxide）s （PPEPO） was synthesized by anhydrous K2CO3 mediated N-C coupling reaction in DMAc. The polymers exhibited good thermal properties with Tgs ranging from 267℃ to 306℃ and 5% weight loss temperatures in nitrogen higher than 430℃, together with high char yield upon prolonged heating at 800℃ （35%-56%）. Moreover, the polymers were readily soluble in common organic solvents, such as N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone, chloroform and m-cresol. These polymers had inherent viscosities in the range of 0.45-0.72 dL/g and could be cast into flexible and colorless films by spin coating or casting approach.

A novel unsymmetrical fluorinated diamine monomer with kink non-coplanar heterocyclic structures, 1,2-dihydro- 2-（4-amino-2-trifluoromethyophenyo）-4-[4-（4-amino-2-trifluoromethyophenoxy）phenyo]（2H）phthaoazin-1-oneo was prepared through the nucleophilic substitution reaction of 1-trifluromethyl-2-chloro-5-nitrobenzene with 1,2-dihydro-4-（4- hydroxyphenyl）（2H）phthalazin-l-one in the presence of potassium carbonate, followed by catalytic reduction with hydrazine and Pd-C. A series of new fluorinated polyarnides were synthesized by the phosphorylation polyamidation of the fluorinated diamine with various dicarboxylic acids. The prepared polymers were obtained in quantitative yields with moderately and high inherent viscosities （0.47-0.87 dL/g）. They were all amorphous and readily soluble in various polar aprotic solvents such as N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone （NMP）, N,N-dimethylformamide （DMF）, N,N-dimethylacctamide （DMAc）, pyridine （Py） and m-cresol at room temperature. These fluorinated polyamides have excellent thermal properties. The glass transition temperatures were all above 300℃. The 5% and 10% weight loss temperatures were in the range of 437-466℃ and 482-525℃ in nitrogen atmosphere, respectively.

A series of novel poly（aryl ether nitrile）s containing phthalazinone moiety were synthesized by the nucleophilic displacement reaction of bisphenol-like monomers （I） with 2,6-difluorobenzonitrile. The inherent viscosities ranged from 0.46 to 1.07 dL g^-1. The glass transition temperatures were in the range of 277-295℃, and the temperatures for 10% weight loss in nitrogen atmosphere were found between 495 and 527 ℃. The structures of these resultant polymers were confirmed by FT-IR and 1^H NMR. Moreover, the properties of poly（aryl ether nitrile）s including solubility and crystallinity were also studied.

Soluble aromatic polyamides containing phthalazinone moieties were prepared. Those polymers were obtained from the solution polymerization of a new diacid containing phthalazinone moieties with various diamines. The new monomer, 2-(4-carboxyphenyl)-4-(4- carboxyphenoxy ) phenyl-1 (2H) phthalazinone (Ⅳ) was synthesized in a two-step reaction sequence. 2- (4-Cyanophenyl)-4-(4-cyanophenoxy)phenyl-1 (2H)phthalazinone (Ⅲ) was prepared via the condensation reaction of 4-(4-hydroxyphenyl )-1 (2H) phthalazinone (I) with p-chlorobenzonitrile (Ⅱ). After (Ⅲ) was hydrolyzed, (Ⅳ) was acquired. The synthesized polyamides were characterized by means of viscosimetry, DSC, FT-IR, ~1H NMR and EA. The polyamides have a high glass transition temperature which can be as high as 316 C. The polyamides also have good solubilities in some organic solvents.

A novel poly(ether imide)s containing phthalazinone and isopropyl moieties derived from 2-(4-aminophenyl)-4-[4-(4-aminophenoxy)phenyl]-phthalazin-1-one and bisphenol-A diphthalic anhydride was synthesized by one-step solution condensation polymerization in nr-cresol. The polymer was characterized by FTIR, NMR, molecular weights, glass transition temperature, thermal degradation temperature and WAXD.

A novel series of poly（aryl ether sulfone ketone）s （PPESKs） containing phthalazinone and biphenyl moieties were prepared by two-step nucleophilic polycondensation reaction. The ^-Mw values of these copolymers were between 38,330 and 67,900. The glass transition temperatures （Tg） and 5% decomposition temperatures were ranged in 253-269 ℃ and 488-500 ℃, respectively, The structures of these copolymers were confirmed by FT-IR and ^1H NMR. Moreover, all the resultant copolymers were amorphous determined by wide angle X-ray diffraction （WAXD）.

Trimethoxysilyl-functionalized PPEK（PKGS） films had been designed to serve as wear resistant coatings for silicon surfaces. These surface films were formed by a dip-coating technique applied to self-assembled monolayers（SAMs）.The formation and wetting behavior of PKGS films were characterized by means of contact angle *** friction coefficient of the film prepared is very low（about 0.1）,and the anti-wear behavior is good,with a lack of failure after sliding over 1800 s.
