Optimization Management of Industrial Organizations Based on performance indicators

This paper proposes an intelligent management system (IMS) to help managers in their delicate and tedious task of exploiting the plethora of data (indicators) contained in management dashboards. This system is based on intelligent agents, ontologies and data mining. It is implemented by PASSI (Process for Agent Societies Specification and Implementation) methods for agent design and implementation, the Methodology for Knowledge Modeling and Hot-Winters for data prediction. Intelligent agents not only track indicators but also store the knowledge of managers within the company. Ontologies are used to manage the representation and presentation aspects of knowledge. Data mining makes it possible to: make the most of all available data;model the industrial process of data selection, exploration and modeling;and transform behaviors into predictive indicators. An instance of the IMS named SYGISS, currently in operation within a large brewery organization, allows us to observe very interesting results: the extraction of indicators is done in less than 5 minutes whereas manual extraction used to take 14 days;the generation of dashboards is instantaneous whereas it used to take 12 hours;the interpretation of indicators is instantaneous whereas it used to take a day;forecasts are possible and are done in less than 5 minutes whereas they did not exist with the old management. These important contributions help to optimize the management of this organization.

Exploring Enterprise performance indicators Network： A Case Study of China Telecommunication Industry

Perforrmnce indicators play some important roles in enterprise operation. Both researchers and managers have recently pointed out that the identification of correlation between different performmance indicators may lead to a better understanding of business. However, it is becoming more and more difficult to measure and analyze these indicators since the fast growing number of performance indicators and the complex relationships between them The existing categories failed to reflect these changes in an adequate way, and the quantitative analysis methods for identifying the characters of those pefformance indicators are still worthy of investigation. The main objective of this paper is to propose a practical methodology for managing and analyzing performance indicators in enterprises, which focuses on building up a performance indicator system and discovering the characters of those performance indicators by applying complex network methods. The empirical results of a telecommunieation enterprise show that the proposed method can be effective in understanding the correlations between performance indicators.

Coordinating and Evaluating of Multiple Key performance indicators for Manufacturing Equipment: Case Study of Distillation Column

Manufacturing equipment takes the task of operation and directly effects on the manufacturing process. One single Key performance indicator （KPI） is mainly employed to evaluate equipment in most studies, neither integrating the KPIs into a completed evaluation system nor considering the impact and conflict among KPIs. In this paper, a KPI evaluation architecture is presented to define and analyze KPIs, and then a common structure for KPI to obtain the KPI set of manufacturing equipment is introduced. An available multi-KPl coordination model is proposed to discern and balance the relationship among multi-KPl. Finally, a case study is introduced to illustrate the applicability of the coordination model by using multi-objective optimization strategy and an efficient solution is obtained.

As part of improving services done for various clients in all Moroccan areas, Moroccan exportation group of fruits and vegetables in collaboration with their packaging units and producers, tends to cooperate in order to face with international competitiveness. Indeed, the complexity of networks of partners has led policy-makers to implement new techniques and tools to help control different processes. For this reason, the implementation of a permanent monitoring of different operations ranging from production, packaging, and distribution of perishable products has become paramount. This article aims to propose a model of multi-agent citrus supply chain, based on indicators for monitoring and evaluation of performance of its logistics systems, in order to build a new independent, robust and responsive chain, and to optimize and control the flow of materials and information between the different actors and stakeholders of the chain.

A robust deep structured prediction model for petroleum reservoir characterization using pressure transient test data

A robust deep learning model consisting of long short-term memory and fully connected neural net-works has been proposed to automatically interpret homogeneous petroleum reservoirs having infinite,no flow,and constant pressure outer boundary *** pressure change data recorded during the well test operation along with its derivative is input into the model to perform the classification for identifying the reservoir model and,further,regression to estimate output *** noise was added to analytical models while generating the synthetic training *** hyperparameters were regulated to perform model optimization,resulting in a batch size of 64,Adam optimization algorithm,learning rate of 0.01,and 80:10:10 data split ratio as the best choices of *** perfor-mance accuracy also increased with an increase in the number of samples during *** classification and regression metrics have been used to evaluate the performance of the *** paper also demonstrates the prediction performance of the optimized model using simulated and actual oil well pressure drawdown test *** proposed model achieved minimum and maximum relative errors of 0.0019 and 0.0308,respectively,in estimating output for the simulated test cases and relative error of 0.0319 for the real test case.

Deadbands and the Dynamic Response and performance of Large Water Transfer Canal System

An operating simulation mode for multireach canal system in series under gate regulating is established. The discharge feedforward plus water lever feedback PID controller was adopted. And the performance indicators are introduced to evaluate the control effects of canal operation. Influence on dynamic response process and dynamic performance as well as the control actions of canal system are studied according to the variation of the gate deadband and water level deadband. The results showed that the larger the gate deadband, the worse, the control effect of canal system over water level, and so done the stable process of gate discharge, yet the stable process of gate opening was getting better, while the upstream gate regulation of each canal pool was less at the time when canal stabilizes; the closer to downstream end of canal, the lager steady-state error of this canal pool was, and the lager influence of gate deadband on the steady-state error as well as response time of this canal pool was; the canal system can not acquire superiority in both the control performance and control actions when only the water level deadband was established.

This paper establishes a general multi-stage queuing network model with feedback patient flow to analyze the behavior of patients flow among the stages and the performance of emergency departments（ED） in a hospital. The queuing network is decomposed into a set of single queuing systems that include a tandem queuing and a closed queuing system. The parameter values of the system are obtained from observations through parameter estimation. The complex interaction between the neighbor stages is analyzed and the expression of the patients flow between different stages is calculated in steady state by routing probability in the system. The main performance indicator formulas are developed and results are derived by using the parameter values. Some insights are derived from experiment and numeric analysis in a case study.
