On-line detection of Cu(II) in bioleaching system by anodic stripping differential pulse voltammetry

For the problems of power fluctuation and over-current in grid-connected inverters under unbalanced grid voltage,a fault ride through control strategy based on finite control set-model predictive control（FCS-MPC） with peak current limitation is proposed for fault-tolerant NPC three-level photovoltaic grid-connected ***,the current reference value is calculated with the goal of balancing the current,eliminating active and reactive power ***,the quantitative relationship between the power reference set value and the peak output current value is deduced to guide the power reference value setting under unbalanced grid *** addition,the grid-connected model predictive current control strategy based on the reference voltage cost function method is used to realize the accurate tracking of the reference *** results show that the proposed method can realize the control objectives of output current balance,active power constant,and reactive power constant under unbalanced grid voltage,and the current peak is limited effectively under the three control objectives.

On-line Cu （II） ion concentration detection in bioleaching system was achieved by anodic stripping differential pulse voltammetry （ASDPV）. Good linearity between Cu （II） concentration and oxidation peak current was obtained when Cu （II） existed in 0K media in the concentration range of 1μmol/L （64μg/L） to 1 mmol/L （64 mg/L）. Moreover, when 0.2 mol/L KCl was added into this media, the linear detection range could be extended from 1 mmol/L to 100 mmol/L （6.4 g/L）. The reduction of Cu （II） to metallic copper was shown to proceed as two successive single-electron transfer reactions involving an intermediate chemical step where the cuprous ion （Cu＋） was complexed by chloride to form the dichlorocuprous anion （CuCl-）. In addition, interference effect was also investigated when Fe3＋existed in the media, which was the common situation in the copper bioleaching system. The results showed no interference effect once the concentration of Fe3＋was less than 100 mmol/L （5.6 g/L）.

The design details and performance characterization results of a newly developed plasma focus based compact and portable system(0.5 m×0.5 m×1.2 m,weighing≈100 kg)that produces an average neutron yield of^2×10^8 neutrons/shot(of fast D-D neutrons with typical energy^2.45 Me V)at^1.8 k J energy discharge are *** the detailed analysis of the experimental characterization and simulation results of this system,it has been conclusively revealed that specifically in plasma focus devices with larger static inductance:(i)pinch current is a reliable and more valid neutron yield scaling parameter than peak current,(ii)the ratio of pinch/peak current improves as static inductance of the system reduces,(iii)the benign role of the higher static/pinch inductance ratio enables the supply of inductively stored energy in densely pinched plasma with a larger time constant and it is well depicted by the extended dip observed in the discharge current trace,(iv)there is the need to redefine existing index values of the pinch(Ipinch^4.7)and peak(Ipeak^3.9)currents in neutron yield scaling equations to higher values.

The study of pressure stimulated current(PSC)changes of rocks is significant to monitor dynamic disasters in mines and rock *** existing studies focus on change laws and mechanism of currents generated under the loading of *** electrical and mechanics test system was established in this paper to explore the impacts of loading rates on *** results indicated that PSC curves of different rocks had different change laws under low/high loading *** the loading rate was relatively low,PSC curves firstly changed gently and then increased *** high loading rates,PSC curves experienced the rapid increase stage,gentle increase stage and sudden change *** compressive strength could greatly affect the peak PSC in case of rock *** loading rate was a key factor in average *** low loading rates,the variations of PSCs conformed to the damage charge model of fracture mechanics,while they did not at the fracture *** high loading rates,the PSCs at low stress didn’t fit the model due to the stress impact *** experimental results could provide theoretical basis for the influence of loading rates on PSCs.

A new method was proposed for study of organic reducing substances in soils. According to the theoretical relationship between the voltammetric behaviors and reduction-oxidation reaction of reducing substances, the working conditions of differential pulse voltammetry (d.p. v.) for determining the organic reducing substances produced during the processes of the anaerobic decomposition of plant materials were established with a glass carbon electrode as working electrode, 1 M Ag-AgCl electrode with large area as reference electrode, 0.2 M NH4AC as supporting electrolyte and pH buffer solution, pulse amplitude (AE) of 25 mV, scan rate at 2 mV·S-1and scan potential ranging from -0.5 to +1.2 voltage(vs. M Ag-AgCl). The peak current proportional to the concentration of reducing substances, and the characteristic peak potential of each organic reducing substance were regarded as the quantitative and qualitative base, respectively. These results obtained under the conditions mentioned above directly reflect both the reducing intensity and capacity of the organic reducing system in soils.
