The catalytic performance of Ni catalysts supported by CeO2-ZrO2 and α-Al2O3 was investigated for methane partial oxidation. Catalysts were measured by XRD. Carbon deposition was analyzed with TG-DTA and Raman. The results show that the activity and stability of catalysts supported on CeO2-ZrO2 are better than those on α-Al2O3. Combined with the characterizations results, the advantage of Ni/CeO2-ZrO2 in catalytic activity can be interpreted by fine Ni dispersion. TG-DTA results illustrate that Ni/CeO2-ZrO2 catalysts exhibit better coking resistance than α-Al2O3 supported catalyst.

The partial oxidation of hydrocarbons is an important technical route to produce acetylene for chemical *** partial oxidation reactor is the key to high acetylene *** work is an experimental and numerical study on the use of a methane flame to produce acetylene.A lab scale partial oxidation reactor was used to produce ultra fuel-rich premixed jet *** axial temperature and species concentration profiles were measured for different equivalence ratios and preheating temperatures,and these were compared to numerical results from Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)simulations that used the Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes Probability Density Function(RANS-PDF)approach coupled with detailed chemical *** Leeds 1.5,GRI 3.0 and San Diego mechanisms were used to investigate the effect of the detailed chemical *** effects of equivalence ratio and preheating temperature on acetylene production were experimentally and numerically *** experimental validations indicated that the present numerical simulation provided reliable prediction on the partial oxidation of *** this simulation method the optimal equivalence ratio for acetylene production was determined to be *** preheating temperature improved acetylene production and shortened greatly the ignition delay *** the increase of preheating temperature had to be limited to avoid uncontrolled ignition in the mixing chamber and the pyrolysis of methane in the preheater.

Dense membrane with the composition of SrFe0.6Cu0.3Ti0.1O3-δ （SFCTO） was prepared by solid state reaction method. Oxygen permeation flux through this membrane was investigated at operating temperature ranging from 750℃ to 950℃ and different oxygen partial pressure. XRD measurements indicated that the compound was able to form single-phased perovskite structure in which part of Fe was replaced by Cu and Ti. The oxygen desorption and the reducibility of SFCTO powder were characterized by thermogravimetric analysis and temperature programmed reduction analysis, respectively. It was found that SFCTO had good structure stability under low oxygen pressure at high temperature. The addition of Ti increased the reduction temperature of Cu and Fe. Performance tests showed that the oxygen permeation flux through a 1.5 mm thick SFCTO membrane was 0.35-0.96 ml·min ^-1·cm^-2 under air/helium oxygen partial pressure gradient with activation energy of 53.2 kJ·mol^-1. The methane conversion of 85%, CO selectivity of 90% and comparatively higher oxygen permeation flux of 5 ml·min^-1·cm^- 2 were achieved at 850℃, when a SFCTO membrane reactor loaded with Ni-Ce/Al2O3 catalyst was applied for the partial oxidation of methane to syngas.

Promoter MgO on 10% CeO2/Al2O3 oxygen carrier was investigated for direct partial oxidation of methane to syngas in molten salt. The MgO content of 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 3% and 4% on the 10%CeO2/Al2O3 oxygen carriers in experiments were prepared at the temperature of 750℃, respectively. The methane conversion, H2 and CO selectivity was measured on these prepared oxygen carriers at different reaction temperature. The results showed that the 3% MgO on 10%CeO2/Al2O3 had the best activity, and the CH4 conversion and CO selectivity reached 92.58% and 87.64% at 875℃, respectively. The effect of different calcination temperature on 3% MgO as promoter on 10% CeO2/Al2O3 oxygen carrier was investigated. The results of BET indicated that oxygen carrier had the largest surface area at 750℃. When the calcined temperature was too high there would be a negative effect on oxygen carrier activity.

The catalytic performance, thermal stability, carton deposition, crystal phase, catalyst surface composition, pore volume and specific surface area were investigated using a series of characterization techniques in eluding fixed-bed microreactor, TG, XRD, XPS, TPR and BET The results indicated that LiN1LaO/γ-Al2O3 can lyst was quite stable during the 200 h life-test at 1123 K. CH4 conversion and CO selectivity kept exceeding 96 00% , respectively, at CH4/O2 ratio of 1 96 and space velocity of 27 000 l/(kg·h) The catalyst not only had excellent carbon deposition resistance, comparatively stable pore structure and stable crystal phase, but also the active center nakel did not react with the support to produce compound (NiAl2O4) during high temperature reaction

With increasing amount of unconventional natural gas,the production of ethane,propane and other low alkanes continues to *** our previous works,a partially decoupled process(PDP) was proposed for conversion of ethane based on numerical simulations,which showed higher acetylene and ethylene selectivities than the original partial oxidation *** the current work,the PDP of ethane for producing acetylene and ethylene was studied experimentally to verify the PDP *** the PDP of ethane,coke-oven gas or other cheap gas combusts with stoichiometric oxygen as heat carrier,and ethane is mixed with the heat carrier and undergoes pyrolysis at high *** jet-in-cross-flow(JICF) reactor was designed and manufactured to realize the PDP.A positioning device of 0.1 mm accuracy and a mass spectrometer were used to measure the spatial profiles of the species *** maximum combined yield(52.7%) of acetylene and ethylene was obtained even at the condition of heat loss,confirming that the PDP of ethane was advantageous over the partial oxidation process and at least comparable to the steam cracking process.

In this work,the catalytic performance of vanadia-molybdena loaded on TiO_(2),MgO,ZSM-5,NaY and Mordenite was investigated in the selective oxidation of 2-methylnaphthalene(2-MN)to 2-naphthaldehyde(2-NA).Results show that strong interactions between supports(TiO2,ZSM-5)and active components can promote the dispersion of active *** VOx and MoOx are the main form on the catalyst surface,which is beneficial to the 2-NA ***,the corresponding weak interactions between Mordenite and active components may lead to the production of oxide crystals and the separation of active components,thus reducing the 2-NA *** to the high Na content,new crystal NaVMoO6 forms on the NaY surface,which is inactive in the *** V-Mo/TiO2,V and Mo can be inserted into the TiO2 lattice,changing the electronic structures of active components and support and improving the activity of surface oxygen *** investigation highlights an important consideration on supports properties when designing supported catalysts.
