Effect of proximal contact strength on the three-dimensional displacements of implant-supported cantilever fixed partial dentures under axial loading

Objective:This study investigated the effect of proximal contact strength on the three-dimensional displacements of cantilever fixed partial denture(CFPD) under vertically concentrated loading with digital laser speckle(DLS) technique.Methods:Fresh mandible of beagle dog was used to establish the implant-supported CFPD for specimen.DLS technique was employed for measuring the three-dimensional displacement of the prosthesis under vertically concentrated loading ranging from 200 to 3 000 g.The effect of the contact tightness on the displacement of CFPD was investigated by means of changing the contact tightness.Results:When an axial concentrated loading was exerted on the pontic of the implant-supported CFPD,the displacement of the CFPD was the greatest.The displacement of the prosthesis decreased with the increase of contact strength.When the contact strength was 0,0.95,and 3.25 N,the displacement of the buccolingual direction was smaller than that of the mesiodistal direction but greater than that of the occlusogingival direction.When the force on the contact area was 6.50 N,the mesiodistal displacement of the prosthesis was the biggest while the buccolingual displacement was the smallest.Conclusions:The implant supported CFPD is an effective therapy for fully or partially edentulous patients.The restoration of the contact area and the selection of the appropriate contact strength can reduce the displacement of the CFPD,and get a better stress distribution.The most appropriate force value is 3.25 N in this study.

Effects of laparoscopic normal hepatectomy and partial hepatectomy on inflammatory factors, stress hormones and immune function in patients with intrahepatic cholelithiasis

Objective:To investigate the effects of laparoscopic normal hepatectomy and partial open hepatectomy on inflammatory factors, stress hormones and immune function in patients with intrahepatic cholelithiasis.Methods: A total of 90 patients with intrahepatic cholelithiasis were randomly divided into control group and the observation group. The patients in the control group were treated with partial hepatectomy. Patients in observation group were treated with laparoscopic normal hepatectomy. The levels of inflammatory factors, stress hormones and immune function were compared in two groups before and after treatment.Results: Before treatment, there was no significant difference in the levels of neutrophile granulocyte, CRP, WBC, COR, E, CD3+, CD4+, CD8+ and NK cells between the two groups. After treatment, the levels of CD3+, CD4+ and NK cells in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, moreover, these levels after treatment were obviously lower than before treatment;The levels of neutrophile granulocyte, CRP, WBC, COR, E and CD8+ in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, and these levels were significantly higher than before treatment.Conclusion: Compared with partial open hepatectomy, laparoscopic normal hepatectomy can effectively reduce the inflammatory factors and stress hormone levels, improve the immune function of the body, and have a certain clinical value.

Therapeutic options for gastric variceal bleeding in the presence of extensive portal vein thrombosis associated with a myeloproliferative disorder are limited.We report a case of a young woman who presented with gastric variceal bleeding secondary to extensive splanchnic venous thrombosis due to a Janus kinase 2 mutation associated myeloproliferative disorder that was managed effectively with partial splenic embolization.

Supply Chain Finance Decision Analysis with a partial Credit Guarantee Contract

The innovation of supply chain financial services can alleviate the plight of SMEs financing difficulties. In the aspect of supply chain finance model, there is a credit guarantee financing model, which is different from the simple external financing and internal financing mode of supply chain. Based on this, this paper studies the decision-making of supply chain finance under the partial credit guarantee of core enterprises. First of all, the paper constructs a simple supply chain financing model, consisting of a bank, a core enterprise and a retailer. And then, considering the credit guarantee financing model, calculate the expected profit function. Stackelberg game model is used to give the optimal decision of each subject in decentralized system and the optimal decision in centralized system. Finally, in order to make a more specific and detailed study on the profit and decision-making based on the credit guarantee financing model, the important parameters of the model are analyzed. Through the calculation, it is proved that under the credit guarantee of the core enterprise, the retailer has the optimal ordering strategy, and the core enterprise has the best wholesale price. The influences of the partial credit guarantee coefficient and the retailer’s loan coefficient on the supply chain finance decision-making are also studied.

Objective:To report the recurrent spontaneous abortion that were caused by the mother's chromosomal rearrangement which was 18 chromosome inversion;and cytogenetic analysis of the fetal amniotic fluid was performed.Methods: Traditional chromosome karyotype and whole-genome sequencing(WGS) was used to process karyotyping and genomic microdeletion and microduplication analysis.Results: the result of fetal amniotic fluid chromosome karyotype is 46,XY,rec(18),dup(18)(q12.3q23);his mother's chromosome karyotype is 46,XX,inv(18)(P11.3q12);and his father's chromosome karyotype is normal.Conclusions:A male newborn with partial trisomy 18q variation was detected in a fetus whose mother with abnormal pregnancy history, that was combined with traditional chromosome karyotype and WGS. The WGS technology has an important clinical value in the prevention of fetal birth defects of abnormal pregnancy history family in prenatal diagnosis.

Selective partial salivary glands sparing during intensity-modulated radiation therapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Objective This study evaluated the dosimetric consequences of selective partial salivary gland sparing during intensity-modulated radiotherapy(IMRT) for patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC).Methods Ten patients with NPC were enrolled in the study.Two IMRT plans were produced for each patient:conventional(control) and partial salivary glands-sparing(treatment),with dose constraints to the entire parotid glands or partial salivary glands(including the parotid and submandibular glands,delineated with the adjacent distance of at least 0.5 cm between the glands and PTV,the planning target volume) in planning,respectively.Dosimetric parameters were compared between the two plans,including the V_(110%),V_(100%),V_(95%)(the volume covered by more than 110%,100%,or 95% of the prescribed dose),Dmin(the minimum dose) of PTV,homogeneity index(HI),conformity index(CI),and the mean dose and percentage of the volume receiving 30 Gy or more(V_(30)) for the parotid glands and submandibular glands.Results Treatment plans had significantly lower mean doses and V_(30) to both the entire parotid glands and partial parotid glands than those in control plans.The mean doses to the partial submandibular glands were also significantly lower in treatment plans than in control plans.The PTV coverage was comparable between the two plans,as indicated by V_(100%),V_(95%),Dmin,CI,and HI.The doses to critical structures,including brainstem and spinal cord,were slightly but not significantly higher in treatment plans than in control plans.Conclusion A selective partial salivary gland-sparing approach reduces the doses to parotid and submandibular glands during IMRT,which may decrease the risk of post-radiation xerostomia while not compromising target dose coverage in patients with NPC.

partial discharge-induced crack growth in dielectric materials

partial discharge(PD) of an air-filled semi-permeable crack in a dielectric material is studied based on the streamer-type discharge mechanism to explore the effects of applied mechanical-electric fields on crack growth.Within the frame of two-dimensional deformation,the electric field inside the crack is first derived by taking the crack deformation into account.Then,the effects of electric field before PD are discussed through considering the contribution of the induced electric field inside the deformed crack space to the total energy release rate.Finally,PD and its effects on crack growth are investigated.It is found that:(1) before PD,the applied electric field always retards crack growth;(2) during PD,the applied electric field can induce crack growth in dielectric materials.

针对空间平面拟合中系数矩阵含有部分误差的特点,根据partial EIV模型提取系数矩阵随机元素的思想,将空间平面拟合模型系数矩阵中观测元素作为随机元素提取组成新的未知向量。采用partial EIV模型线性化的新解法求解拟合参数,简化了计算过程,且保证了系数矩阵相同元素的改正数一致,较EIV模型的总体最小二乘法,理论模型更加严谨。通过算例说明了,本文方法可以用于拟合空间平面,且精度有一定优势。
