Stable Recovery of Low Rank Matrices From nuclear norm minimization

Low rank matrix recovery is a new topic drawing the attention of many researchers which addresses the problem of recovering an unknown low rank matrix from few linear measurements. The matrix Dantzig selector and the matrix Lasso are two important algorithms based on nuclear norm minimization. In this paper, we first prove some decay properties of restricted isometry constants, then we discuss the recovery errors of these two algorithms and give a new bound of restricted isometry constant to guarantee stable recovery, which improves the results of [11].

Clustering for Topological Interference Management

To reduce the overhead and complexity of channel state information acquisition in interference alignment, the topological interference management(TIM) was proposed to manage interference, which only relied on the network topology information. The previous research on topological interference management via the low-rank matrix completion approach is known to be NPhard. This paper considers the clustering method for the topological interference management problem, namely,the low-rank matrix completion for TIM is applied within each cluster. Based on the clustering result, we solve the low-rank matrix completion problem via nuclear norm minimization and Frobenius norm minimization *** results demonstrate that the proposed clustering method combined with TIM leads to significant gain on the achievable degrees of freedom.

Parallel Active Subspace Decomposition for Tensor Robust Principal Component Analysis

Tensor robust principal component analysis has received a substantial amount of attention in various *** existing methods,normally relying on tensor nuclear norm minimization,need to pay an expensive computational cost due to multiple singular value decompositions at each *** overcome the drawback,we propose a scalable and efficient method,named parallel active subspace decomposition,which divides the unfolding along each mode of the tensor into a columnwise orthonormal matrix(active subspace)and another small-size matrix in *** a transformation leads to a nonconvex optimization problem in which the scale of nuclear norm minimization is generally much smaller than that in the original *** solve the optimization problem by an alternating direction method of multipliers and show that the iterates can be convergent within the given stopping criterion and the convergent solution is close to the global optimum solution within the prescribed *** results are given to demonstrate that the performance of the proposed model is better than the state-of-the-art methods.

Array signal processing concentrates on sensor arrays that receive signals in spatial *** application of array signal processing includes source number recognition and direction of arrival estimation（DOA）and so *** applications often use the uniform linear array（ULA）,that are often costly and difficult to provide large aperture,since the maximum number of resolvable sources for a ULA ofsensors ***,increasing the degree of freedom（DOF）based on the concept of Khatri-Rao（KR）product has attracted much attention in array signal *** typical array is nested array,which can achieve（~2）degrees-of-freedom（DOFs）by using only（）*** nested array is obtained from a combination of two ULAs,one ULA is a dense sub-array,that utilizes the classical inter-sensor spacing,while the other ULA is a sparse array,as it employs a sparser inter-inter-element spacing.A preferable sparse array usually has a closed-form expression for sensors locations,and a long central uniform linear array segment in difference co-array（DCA）.All those lead to more resolvable sources and high estimation *** this thesis,a novel nested array configuration is *** proposed array has a closed-form expression for its sensor locations,it extends the concept of the two-level nested array and exploits the difference co-array to increase the achievable *** spacing between the dense and sparse array,and the spacing between the sensors of sparse array change according to the total number of physical *** holes in the difference co-array are interpolated by using nuclear norm to exploit a full difference *** proposed array structure can improve the accuracy and achieve a higher resolution in direction-of-arrival（DOA）*** numerical simulation results eventually validate the efficacy of the proposed array.
