The Xiaodonggou porphyry Mo deposit is located in the Mesozoic calc-alkaline Xiaodonggou granitoid within a Palaeozoic fold zone of northern *** mineralization mainly occurred in an area of 0.54 km at the south-eastern part of the Xiaodonggou *** mineralization includes disseminated molybdenite, pyrite,chalcopyrite,magnetite and pyrrhotite and stockwork quartz-sulfide veins.A molybdenite-rich inner core is surrounded by a concentric zone of the sulfide mineral assemblage of pyrite,galena and sphalerite. Intense potassic alteration is overprinted by sericitization and silicification in the mineralized *** U-Pb data of zircon indicate that the granitoid crystallized at 142±2 Ma(2a).Re-Os age dating for six molybdenite samples from underground galleries of the deposit constrains the age of porphyry-style Mo mineralization to be 138.1±2.8 Ma(2a).These data suggest that porphyry-style mineralization was associated with the Xiaodonggou granitoid intrusion and support an Early Cretaceous porphyry-type metallogenic epoch along the northern margin of north china craton.

The Chchugou granite-hosted molybdenum deposit is typical of the Xilamulun metallogenic belt,which is an important Mo-Ag-Pb-Zn producer in china.A combination of major and trace element,Sr and Nd isotope,and zircon U-Pb isotopic data are reported for the Chehugou batholith to constrain its petrogenesis and Mo *** zircon SIMS U-Pb dating yields mean ages of 384.7±4.0 Ma and 373.1±5.9 Ma for monzogranite and syenogranite and 265.6±3.5 Ma and 245.1±4.4 Ma for syenogranite porphyry and granite porphyry,*** Devonian granites are calc-alkaline with KO/NaO ratios of 0.44-0.52,the Permian granites are alkali-calcic with KO/NaO ratios of 1.13—1.25,and the Triassic granites are calc-alkaline and alkali-calcic rocks with KO/NaO ratios of *** are all enriched in large-ion lithophile elements(LILEs) and depleted in high-field-strength elements(HFSEs) with negative Nb and Ta anomalie s in primitive mantle-normalized trace element *** have relatively high Sr(189- 1256 ppm) and low Y(3.87—5.43 ppm) *** Devonian granites have relatively high initial Sr isotope ratios of 0.7100-0.7126,negative E(t) values of -12.3 to -12.4 and Pb/Pb ratios of *** contrast,the Permian and Triassic granitoids have relatively low initial Sr/Sr ratios(0.7048-0.7074),negativeε(t) values of-10.1 to -13.1 and Pb/Pb ratios of *** gcochcmical features suggest that the Devonian,Permian and Triassic Chchugou granitoids were derived from ancient,garnet-bearing crustal rocks related to subduction of the PalaeoAsian Ocean and subsequent continent-continent collision between the north china and Siberian plates.

Study of crustal thickness and poisson's ratio of the south of Erenhot area by teleseismic receiver function

The Xing’an Mongolian Orogenic Belt(XMOB) and the northern margin of north china craton(NCC) have undergone multistage tectonic superimposition and the tectonic evolution is extremely complicated. We collect the teleseismic data of 44 temporary broadband seismic stations deployed in the XMOB and the northern margin of NCC to calculate the P wave receiver functions. The crustal thickness and average crustal ratio as well as the Poisson’s ratios beneath 33 stations are estimated using the H-κ stacking method. The results show:(1) the crustal thickness of the study area ranges from 38.7 to 42.7 km, with an average thickness of 41.2 km. There is a great difference in crustal thickness on both sides of Solonker suture zone. The characteristics of crustal thickness support the geodynamic model that the Paleo-Asian Ocean subducted and closed at the Solonker suture zone.(2) The Poisson’s ratios in the study area are low, ranging from 0.215 to 0.277, with an average value of 0.243, suggesting that the rock composition of the area is dominated by felsic-acid rocks.(3) There exists a negative correlation between the Poisson’s ratio and the crustal thickness. Combined with the lower values of Poisson’s ratio, we speculate that the delamination is the major mechanism in crustal extension and thinning in the study area.
