Airport Aviation noise prediction Based on an Optimized Neural Network

In order to alleviate noise pollution and improve the sustainability of airport operation,it is of great significance to develop an effective method to predict airport aviation noise. A three-layer neural network is constructed to gain computational simplicity and execution economy. With the preferred node number and transfer functions obtained in comparative tests,the constructed network is further optimized through the genetic algorithm for performance improvements in prediction. Results show that the proposed model in this paper is superior in accuracy and stability for airport aviation noise prediction,contributing to the assessment of future environmental impact and further improvement of operational sustainability for civil airports.

Gearbox has been broadly used on the mechanical production and transportation. But it produces much noise during its working process. noise test must be carried on before the gearbox leave factory. Accurate and convenient noise level estimation for gearbox is more and more important. Traditional method by using sound level meter is not suitable to estimate gearbox’s noise because there is much noise interference in the testing room and different working condition testing. To be satisfied with the requirement of sound pressure level, a new estimation method is put forward in this paper. Contrast with sound level meter, several vibration and acoustics pressure sensors are used during the monitoring process. The vibration and noise data with different monitoring position can be acquisition together. According the developed technology "substituting vibration on noise", a noise estimation vector can be obtained. According to the combination predication method, linear neural network algorithm is used in this paper to predict noise level for gearbox. To testify the effectiveness of this method, an experiment has been carried on in lab with different working conditions for gearbox. According to the result analysis, this method is very accurate for the noise measurement. At the same time, this method also very useful to evaluate gearbox performance before it leaves factory. Thus, it is very suitable for some type gearbox production noise detection. This method will be very promising for gearbox production.

Outdoor power transformers are one of the most pervasive noise sources in power transmission and distribution *** prediction of outdoor noise propagation plays a dominant role for the evaluation and control of noise relevant to the transformer *** this paper surface vibration tests are carried out on a scale model of a single-phase transformer tank wall at different excitation *** phase and amplitude of test data are found to be randomly distributed when the excitation frequency exceeds the seventh mode frequency,which allows the single-phase power transformer to be simplified as incoherent point *** outdoor-coherent model is subsequently developed and incorporated with the image source method to investigate noise propagation from single-phase power transformers,due to the occurrence of multiple reflections and diffractions in the propagation path of each point *** proposed model is used to calculate the sound field of the power transformer group by exploiting the additional phase *** comparison with the ISO9613 model and the boundary element method,it is found that the proposed coherent image source method leads to more accurate prediction results,and hence better performance for the prediction of the outdoor noise induced by single-phase power transformers.

Based on the grey system theory, taking 5 618 TEU container as the parent ship model, using the method of the degree of grey incidence, the main ingredients which influence the decks’ average noises of the superstructure of the ship and the compartments’ noises of apiece deck are determined separately, and then, using the modeling method of non-equal interval Model GM (1,1), the decks’ average noises model of the superstructure and the noises’ difference model of the compartments relative to the decks’ average noises are established separately. By adding the predicting values of the two kinds of model, the final predicted values of the superstructure compartments’ noises are got. These models are applied to predict the noises of 4 100 TEU’s superstructure compartments, the result of which shows that, it is feasible to predict the noises of ships’ superstructure compartments using grey prediction method, which not only considers more influence of a lot of factors, but also possesses some merits like fewer sample, quicker predict, higher precision and so on. Especially during the initial period of the ships’ exploitation and design, this method possesses obvious superiority compared to others.
