Production mechanism of neutron-rich nuclei around N =126 in the multi-nucleon transfer reaction ^(132)Sn+^(208)Pb

The time-dependent Hartree-Fock approach in three dimensions is employed to study the multi-nucleon transfer reaction 132Sn ＋ 208spb at various incident energies above the Coulomb barrier. Probabilities for different transfer channels are calculated by using the particle-number projection method. The results indicate that neutron stripping （transfer from the projectile to the target） and proton pick-up （transfer from the target to the projectile） are favored. De-excitation of the primary fragments is treated by using the state-of-art statistical code GEMINI＋＋. Primary and final production cross sections of the target-like fragments （with Z=77 to Z=87） are investigated. The results reveal that fission decay of heavy nuclei plays an important role in the de-excitation process of nuclei with Z 〉 82. It is also found that the final production cross sections of neutron-rich nuclei depend only slightly on the incident energy, while those of neutron-deficient nuclei depend strongly on the incident energy.

The yield ratios of neutron/proton and ^3H/^3He and the directed flow per nucleon for these projectile-like fragments at large impact parameters are studied for ^50Ca ＋ ^40Ca and ^50Cr ＋ ^40Ca for comparison at 50 MeV/u using the isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics（IQMD *** is found that the yield ratios and the directed flows per nucleon are different for reactions induced by the neutron-rich nucleus ^50Ca and the stable isobaric nucleus ^50Cr,and depend on the hardness of the *** ratios of neutron/proton and ^3H/^3He and the difference of directed flow per nucleon of neutron-proton are suggested to be possible observables to investigate the isospin effects.

Multi-phonon excitation in deformed nuclei is an impotent topic in research on nuclear structure. Up to now,the one-phononγ-vibrational（1-γ） bands have been observed in many ***,it is difficult to observe the two-phononγ-vibrational（2-γ） *** to now,only few 2-γbands were observed in A～170 and 220 regions,for examples,in Er,Dy and *** the A～100 neutron rich nuclei,2-γbands were reported in Mo in earlier *** our work,no 2-γband was identified in odd-A *** identify 2-γband in odd-A nuclei is important to understand nuclear single-particle motion and collective motion and to develop the nuclear model *** we report on recent progress of research on two-phononγ-bands in A00 neutron-rich nuclei by our cooperative group.

Nuclear mass is a fundamental property of nuclear physics and a necessary input in nuclear *** to the complexity of atomic nuclei and nonperturbative strong interactions,conventional physical models cannot completely describe nuclear binding *** this study,the mass formula was improved by considering an additional term from the Fermi gas *** nuclear masses in the Atomic Mass Evaluation Database were reproduced with a root-mean-square deviation(RMSD)of -1.86 MeV(1.92 MeV).The new mass formula exhibits good performance in the neutron-rich nuclear *** RMSD decreases to 0.393 MeV when the ratio of the neutron number to the proton number is≥1.6.

A method based on the dinuclear system(DNS)is proposed to describe the angular distribution of products in multinucleon transfer(MNT)*** considering fluctuation effects,the angular distributions of reactions involving^(136)Xe+^(208)Pb,^(136)Xe+^(209)Bi,^(86)Kr+^(166)Er,^(84)Kr+^(209)Bi,and^(84)Kr+^(208)Pb are examined,demonstrating good agreement with experimental ***,the double differential cross-sections(dσ^(2)/dl_(i)dΘand dσ^(2)/dZdΘ)of reactions^(136)Xe+^(208)Pb and^(136)Xe+^(209)Bi are analyzed to explore the mechanism of angular distribution in MNT ***,the optimal angles for detecting N=126 isotopes are determined via an analysis on the influence of proton and neutron numbers of the projectiles on the angular distribution of the N=126 isotopic *** results of this study can provide valuable insights for experimental detection.

The ground-state deformations and B（E2） values of Ne and Mg nuclei around N = 20 are studied within the framework of the macroscopic-microscopic （MM） model with isospin-dependent Nilsson potential. The calculated results are compared with those obtained from standard Nilsson parameters and with experimental ones. It is found that the calculations with new Nilsson parameters well reproduce the experimental large deformations and B（E2） values for Ne and Mg nuclei around N = 20. The N = 20 shell closure of Ne and Mg isotopes disappears in the MM model and this agrees with experimental data.

Experimental data ofβ--decay half-lives of nuclei with atomic number between 20 and 190 are investigated.A systematic formula has been proposed to calculateβ^--decay half-lives of neutron-rich nuclei,with a particular consideration on shell and pair effects,the decay energy Q as well as the nucleon numbers(Z,N).Although the formula has relatively few parameters,it reproduces the experimentalβ^--decay half-lives of neutron-rich nuclei very *** predicted half-lives for the r-process relevant nuclei obtained with the current formula serve as reliable input in the r-process model calculations.
