＜正＞Objective Bipolar disorder is a kind of mood disorder,cycling between the episodes of depression and *** the symptoms of bipolar disorder overlap with some other psychosis,bipolar disorder may often be misdiagnosed at the first *** some patients with bipolar disorder showed hallucinations,and they would be misidentified as schizophrenia and treated *** genetic studies also found the schizophrenia and bipolar disorder shared common polygenic *** some research found both bipolar disorder and schizophrenia showed higher prevalences of neurological soft signs comparing to healthy controls,very few studies have been conducted to specifically investigate the differential prevalences of neurological soft signs between the these two clinical *** this study we attempted to examine the discrimination pattern of neurological soft signs between patients with schizophrenia and bipolar *** Ninety-six patients（48 patients in each group of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder） meeting the diagnostic criteria of DSM-Ⅳwere recruited for the current *** the patients were *** neurological soft signs were examined by the Cambridge neurological Inventory. The age,gender,education,IQ was matched between the *** analysis was conducted to examine the differential patterns of neurological soft sigs in these two *** 66.7%of schizophrenia and 79.2% of bipolar disorder were correctly *** 72.9%of the all patients were correctly *** Schizophrenia and bipolar disorder showed a differential prevalence of neurological soft signs that may aid the clinical diagnosis of these two disorders in the near future.

＜正＞The identification of genes with large effects that contribute to susceptibilities to neuropsychiatric disorders such as schizophrenia has been not very successful due to the lack of powerful molecular genetic approaches,unlike the state of affairs for type 2 *** possible limitation of these studies is that carriers of vulnerable genotypes may be classified as"normal"unless they exhibit full symptom manifestation as a *** diagnoses are likely to be heterogeneous as not all people with the same diagnosis carry the same susceptibility genes.A new encouraging direction is the identification of endophenotypes,characteristics upstream of symptoms and downstream of genetic polymorphisms,which may be more closely linked to gene expression.A substantial number of studies,especially of at-risk offspring,have suggested that neurocognitive dysfunctions are among the most promising of the candidate *** indicators in schizophrenia have been recognized as among the"target features"through which genetic and non-genetic processes lead to neurointegrative defects that later manifest in neurocognitive ***,aberrant neurological indicators have been suggested as potential endophenotypes in *** this presentation,we will review the substantial evidence for the utility of quantifiable neurological soft signs as potential endophenotypes for schizophrenia spectrum *** for additional research to further elucidate the potential use of neurological soft signs for schizophrenia research are made
