An efficient and coordinated mapping algorithm in virtualized SDN networks

Software-defined networking(SDN) enables the network virtualization through SDN hypervisors to share the underlying physical SDN network among multiple logically isolated virtual SDN networks(v SDNs),each with its own *** v SDN embedding,which refers to mapping a number of v SDNs to the same substrate SDN network,is a key problem in the SDN virtualization ***,due to the distinctions of the SDN,such as the logically centralized controller and different virtualization technologies,most of the existing embedding algorithms cannot be applied directly to SDN *** this paper,we consider controller placement and virtual network embedding as a joint vS DN embedding problem,and formulate it into an integer linear programming with objectives of minimizing the embedding cost and the controller-to-switch delay for each v ***,we propose a novel online vS DN embedding algorithm called CO-v SDNE,which consists of a node mapping stage and a link mapping *** the node mapping stage,CO-vS DNE maps the controller and the virtual nodes to the substrate nodes on the basis of the controller-to-switch delay and takes into account the subsequent link mapping at the same *** the link mapping stage,CO-v SDNE adopts the k-shortest path algorithm to map the virtual *** evaluation results with simulation and Mininet emulation show that the proposed CO-v SDNE not only significantly increases the long-term revenue to the cost ratio and acceptance ratio while guaranteeing low average and maximum controller-to-switch delay,but also achieves good v SDN performance in terms of end-to-end delay and throughput.

network virtualization is an enabling technology of running multiple virtual networks on a shared substrate network. It aims to deal with the ossification of current network architecture. As a crucial component of network virtualization, virtual network embedding(VNE) can efficiently and effectively allocates the substrate resource to proposed virtual network requests. According to the optimization strategy, VNE approaches can be classified into three categories: exact, heuristic and meta-heuristic solution. The VNE exact solution is the foundation of its corresponding heuristic and meta-heuristic solutions. This paper presents a survey of existing typical VNE exact solutions, and open problems for the future research of VNE exact solutions are proposed.

Hybrid Multiple Access and Service-Oriented Resource Allocation for Heterogeneous QoS Provisioning in Machine Type Communications

Non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)has emerged as one important enabling technology for future wireless communications and services,including machine type communication(MTC).Unfortunately,supporting diverse MTC services and massive connectivity is still challenging due to the very different service requirements,scarce radio resources,limited battery capacity of MTC devices,as well as rapidly changing network *** this paper,a hybrid-multipleaccess(HMA)scheme for service-oriented resource allocation scheme is proposed in supporting diverse MTC services for resource constrained devices and *** the proposed scheme,HMA allows MTC devices to choose a suitable type of multiple access technique according to their channel conditions,power constraints,and quality of service(QoS)*** support service-oriented resource allocation,the physical network is firstly sliced into several virtualized networks based on QoS requirements and hardware conditions of MTC devices.A novel utility function integrating network performance and the power consumption in MTC devices is ***,the resource allocation problem is formulated as an optimization problem to maximize the different utility functions under constraints of user QoS requirements and maximum transmitted *** improve computational capacity as well as reduce the operational latency,a cloud-edge collaborative scheme is further designed to share the computation loads between the cloud and *** results demonstrate the proposed service-oriented resource allocation scheme is effective and illustrate that the proposed hybrid multiple access method provides better performance than NOMA in terms of effective energy efficiency.

A 5G Virtualized RAN Based on NO Stack

The virtualized radio access network(v RAN) could implement virtualized baseband functions on general-purpose platforms and expand the processing capacity of the radio access network(RAN) *** this paper,a Not Only Stack(NO Stack) based vR AN is proposed to be employed in the fifth generation(5G) mobile communication *** adopts advanced virtualization technologies to maintain flexible and *** baseband processing and storage resources should be sliced and orchestrated agilely to support multi radio access technology(multiRAT) .Also it is analyzed and demonstrated by different use cases to validate the *** proposed v RAN reduces signaling overheads and service response time in the bearer establishment *** from the analyses and demonstrations,the NO Stack based v RAN could support multi-RAT convergence and flexible networking effectively.

Resource management in radio access and IP-based core networks for IMT Advanced and Beyond

The increased capacity needs, primarily driven by content distribution, and the vision of Internet-of-Things with billions of connected devices pose radically new demands on future wireless and mobile systems. In general the increased diversity and scale result in complex resource management and optimization problems in both radio access networks and the wired core network infrastructure. We summarize results in this area from a collaborative Sino-Swedish project within IMT Advanced and Beyond, covering adaptive radio resource management, energy-aware routing, OpenFlow-based network virtualization, data center networking, and access network caching for TV on demand.

This paper presents a novel chain-like fast transmitting network which is based on the Software Defined networking（SDN） virtualization technology to deal with the problems that the current mechanism of reducing packets delay is complicated and there is quite a high Processing delay during matching flowtable in some routers. In this design, different data will be mapped to different virtual transport network and latency-sensitive data will be handled by the fast transport mechanism without matching complicated *** simulation show that our design could effectively improve the transport efficiency of the network without affecting the normal data.
