Tropospheric Scattering(Troposcatter) and Tropospheric Ducting are two different mechanisms due to in-homogenoueties in the lower part of the Earths *** common influence in propagation of microwaves is studied here in order to achieve a feasible naval communication *** not new,Troposcatter together with Tropospheric Ducting communications are regaining popularity in current military and civil applications such as isolated islands and oil extraction facilities in the open *** innovation proposed here is the application of such systems in naval communications where at least one of the stations is *** propagation together with fading models are simulated using appropriate programs and scientific simulation packets in order to predict maximum range of such communication systems in each dominant mode of *** appropriate antenna design proposals are given to overcome the high propagation loss and minimize possible interferences.

The medium -large caliber naval gun is still playing an important role in modern war. The development of highly automatic Shell Raising and Feeding System (SRFS) in the world has been briefly outlined. Several typical SRFS of medium-large caliber naval guns have been analyzed. A re-design of the system is introduced, in which systematic design method has been used to demonstrate its feasibility. The design goal of the system is to realize rapid shell feeding, with application to many types of shells, quick change of shell types , accurate and reliable feeding operation, simple mechanical structure and easy realization of shell withdrawing.

There has been no large-scale naval combat in the last 30 years. With the rapid development of battleships, weapons manufacturing and electronic technology, naval combat will present some new characteristics. Additionally, naval combat is facing unprecedented challenges. In this paper, we discuss the topic of medical rescue at sea: what challenges we face and what we could do. The contents discussed in this paper contain battlefield self-aid buddy care, clinical skills, organized health services, medical training and future medical research programs. We also discuss the characteristics of modern naval combat, medical rescue challenges, medical treatment highlights and future developments of medical rescue at sea.

Ship Hull Fitting and Stability Calculation

The thesis has been divided into three broad sections.　　 Section-1 comprises of chapter 2 to chapter 5. It is related to Ship Hull Fitting. Chapter-2 gives theoretical background of ship surface generation methods applied. The overview includes the advantages and drawbacks of these methods. This is followed by the description of selected methods and the motivation for the choices. Chapter-3 gives the detailed description of the NURBS formulation used. Chapter-4 defines the method used for ships sections and waterlines curves designing and chapter-5 explains the method used for surface designing.　　 Section-2, comprising of chapter 6 and 7, is related to ship ***-6 describes the calculation process applied for ship hydrostatics and initial stability by the software. Chapter-7 describes the method used to compute‘Ship Large Angle Stability' with trim and heel applied.　　 Section-3 comprises of chapter 8, 9 and 10. Chapter-8 briefly explains the working environment of the software, which can be used as reference for using the software. Chapter-9 is dedicated to validation and verification of the code for ship stability. Finally Chapter t0 contains the conclusions and recommendations for the future work.

Traditional triage cannot meet the needs of modern warfare. This paper describes the design of triage and evacuation equipment for casualties at sea that can quickly address mass-casualty triage and store and transmit information during battlefield treatment and medical evacuation. This equipment consists of a high-capacity medical information card, a simulated patient generator, a triage classifier and a multifunctional airbag triage vest.

In the late summer of 1996, a combined acoustics and physical oceanography experiment (YS96) was performed in the midst of the Yellow Sea. Here the oceanographic data are analyzed and the internal wave spectrum is constructed. It shows that the internal wavesare dominated by the first modes and the spectral density is approximately proportional to w-s/z. Based on the internal wave spectrum, a model of the induced sound-speed distribution is developed, and computer simulation is conducted for CW signal propagation by using the PE method. Numerical results of the sound intensity fluctuations are preseflted for comparison with the experimental data.
