This paper makes a comparative study of three Chinese versions of George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-four by applying the theories and methodologies of literary stylistics and *** study first scrutinizes the distinctive stylistic features and narrative forms of the source text(ST)and then continues to examine whether these features and forms are successfully represented in the target text(TT).Moreover,it seeks to answer the questions of why“deceptive equivalence”occurs and how the“literariness”in the fiction can be retained and stylistic equivalence can be achieved in translation.

The complexity of online narratives and their important influence on events,attitudes,and emotions in society make visible certain limitations in the explication of such narratives found in traditional narrative *** generative mechanism provides the logical starting point for understanding online *** correlatives,text assemblage and specific texts,as the organic structure of online narratives,shape the intertextual existence and dynamic accumulation of the online text.A universal multidirectional co-construction forms around event correlatives and between specific texts and the pre-text,post-text and synchronous text within the text assemblage,while the textual object,the communicating subject and the online group communication context together build up the interpretive system of online narrative *** generative mechanism and vitality of online narratives not only provide guarantees for the active nature of online communication,but also become a huge variable in social development,profoundly influencing social communication and even our way of thinking.

Yokomizo Seishi was a famous detective novelist in Showa. His works were many,especially he created mystery novels. As we knew, Kindaichi Series were his representativeworks, such as Yattsu Hakamura, Honjin Satsujin Jiken, Gokumon Shima, Akuma Ga KiriteFue Wo *** reading Kindaichi Series, I was interested in Yattsu Hakamura.The narrative methods of this novel was different from his other *** of KindaichiSeries were writen with third-person,but Yattsu Hakamura was writen ***,what is connection between the social problem in Yattsu Hakamura an Japanin *** can understand Yokomizo Seishi and mytery novels much better by reseachingYattsu Hakamura.The reseach about Yokomizo Seishi and his mytery novels has not gotten greatachievements in our country at present, most of which are about works criticism and *** are few of people trying to analyse Yokomizo Seishi’s works with narratology.My thesis was based on narratology and analyse the narrative methods of YattsuHakamura person, perspectives of characters and features of narrative,trying a new way toread and understand Yokomizo Seishi’s detective novels.The perface was about introducing Yokomizo Seishi and his detective novels as well asnarratology. The first chapter explored the first-person narration. The second chapter exploredthe perspectives of *** the third chapter explored the analysis of YattsuHakamura’s narrative features from carnival, irony and metaphor. A conclusion wasdrew in final chapter.

Understanding that Homer＇s Odyssey （1998） has a feminine perspective, this paper intends to explore the Greek epic placing queen Penelope as the protagonist, observing, mainly, the narratological shifts in the story grammar, duration and character elaboration. This study also uses Paul Ricoeur＇s The Rule of Metaphor （2008） to analyze the episode of the shroud in Homer＇s Odyssey. Ricoeur sees metaphor in three distinct levels： the level of lexis where he bases himself in the works of Aristotle; the level of phrase in which he recurs to the structuralist linguistician l^mile Benveniste; and the metaphor in the level of discourse, when Ricoeur himself devises an elaborate study of the figure of speech. Penelope＇s weaving can be understood as a representation of discourse and of the feminine. Such analogy transcends the stereotype she is often given and defines a new role for the character in the epic.

Ever since Venuti put forward the concept of translator＇s invisibility in 1995, studies have been conducted on the discursive presence of translators in the translated texts. The translator, as the receiver of the source text and m the meantime the producer of the target text, is sure to leave his/her voice traceable in the translated texts throughout the whole translating process. This paper aims to present an overview of the conceptual development of the translator＇s voice in translation studies from different perspectives like narratology, stylistics, socio-narrative theory, speech-act theory etc.

In this paper I will consider the intersection between family tragedy,trauma,and affective uses of narration in two Australian novels:Surrender(Hartnett,2005)and The Danger Game(Ashton,2009).In both of these novels,narratological techniques are utilised to represent a grief beyond words—the tragic loss of a close family member,specifically,a *** novels use disruptions in narrative forms—particularly in the inherent expectations readers bring to the forms of first,second and third person *** narrative disruptions mirror the disruptions of identity experienced by the characters in these ***,as we engage with the traumatic content through a fractured subjectivity presented by these texts,our identities as readers,too,become fractured and *** disruptions of identity echo that which is experienced by the characters themselves through their *** analysing the link between these disruptions and the content of these novels,we get a better understanding of the ways in which f ictive worlds can represent psychological *** narration of these novels and their engagement with childhood sibling loss enable us to begin to create and understand a broader aesthetic of representational trauma.
