William Faulkner(1897-1962)is usually regarded as one of the most important American novelist s of the 20th century,who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1949.“A Rose for Emily”is one of Faulkner’s famous short stories which applies the conventions of Gothic fiction,and it has drawn the the attention of a large number of scholars and inspired their enthusiasm of interpretation owing to its use of many experimental *** article attempts to analyze the narrative techniques of“A Rose for Emily”in terms of tense,mood and voice,three concepts introduced by Gerald Genette,a distinguished French critic of structuralist narratology in his narrative Discourse(1980).

"Wide Sargasso Sea"is one of Jean Rhys' novella which appealed enormous research. Although many studies touched on different meanings from its narrative perspective, most of them illustrated from the aspect which mixed narrator and point of view. This study researched this novella from the perspective of point of view suggested by Prof. Shen Dan to decode author's method of telling a"plausible story".

This article will delve into the artistic characteristics of online vertical screen dramas, including their narrative techniques, visual design, user experience, and analyze their position and influence in the modern film and television industry. Through in-depth research in these fields, we can promote the sustainable development of the vertical screen drama industry, meet the constantly changing market demands and audience expectations. Meanwhile, by studying the role of vertical screen dramas in social responsibility and cultural inheritance, their positive impact and value in the film and television industry can be realized.

电影《少年闵子骞》在弘扬主旋律、净化观众心灵等方面发挥了一部历史人物传记影片的作用与功能。影片运用字幕转换、多重时空交汇、承接因素等手法，将时空性的材料整合安排于事件因果链条之中，一步步将叙事推向终点。影片通过对少年闵子骞“单衣顺母”故事的呈现，将少年闵子骞的善良、仁义、勤奋等优秀品质展现于观众面前，使传统的孝文化得到传播。同时，中国传统由善到美的美学追求通过影片细节的设计与意境的营造得以体现。
