multi-user diversity analysis in MISO amplify-and-forward relaying network

This article analyzed multi-user diversity performance for multiple input single output （MISO） amplify-and-forward （AF） relaying network with selection combiner, and the closed-form outage probabilities for variable gain relaying and fixed gain relaying network are derived. Based on these results, diversity order is presented for variable gain relaying network. Simulation results validate the derived theoretical results, and the diversity order of variable gain relaying network with Nr available relays is K （Nt ＋ Nr） in K users＇ scenario, where Nt is the number of source transmitter antennas.

Power duality for multi-antenna OFDM system in broadcast channel with user scheduling

This paper deals with design and analysis of user scheduling and power allocation for multi-antenna OFDM systems with DPC,ZF-DPC,ZF-BF and TDMA transmit *** consider the general multi-user downlink scheduling problem and power minimization with multi-user rate *** to the channel state,it is shown that there is a power optimal policy which selects a subset of users in each scheduling *** present user selection algorithms for DPC,ZF-DPC,ZF-BF and TDMA for multi-antenna OFDM system in broadcast channels,and we also present the practical water-filling solution in this *** the selected users with the consideration of fairness,we derive the power optimization algorithm with multi-user rate *** also analyze the power duality of uplink-downlink for the transmit strategies of DPC,ZF-DPC and *** results show that the present user-scheduling algorithm and power minimization algorithm can achieve good power performance,and that the scheduling algorithm can guarantee fairness.

Efficient network coding-based retransmission algorithm for reliable wireless multicast

Recent research shows using network sion efficiency in wireless networks greatly et for retransmission over composite fading coding for reliable multicast can improve the retransmis- In this paper, we study how to code the composite pack- channels efficiently. For the composite fading environ- ment with muhiple receivers, receivers experience different fading at any time. It＇ s very important to code the composite packet so that intended receivers are in good channel qualities, because in- tended receivers in deep fading have little opportunity to receive the composite packet correctly. Hence, we propose a novel composite packet coding principle of maximizing the total SNR of intend- ed receivers. Since the proposed principle is an NP-complete problem, an efficient heuristic algo- rithm with low complexity is given for finding a suboptimal solution. Simulation results show the heu- ristic based scheme achieves higher transmission efficiency than other network coding-based schemes due to the multi-user diversity gain.
