Nowadays movement patterns and people＇s be- havioral models are needed for traffic engineers and city plan- ners. These observations could be used to reason about mobil- ity and its sustainability and to support decision makers with reliable information. The very same knowledge about human diaspora and behavior extracted from these data is also valu- able to the urban planner, so as to localize new services, orga- nize logistics systems and to detect changes as they occur in the movement behavior. Moreover, it is interesting to inves- tigate movement in places like a shopping area or a working district either for commercial purposes or for improving the service quality. These kinds of tracking data are made avail- able by wireless and mobile communication technologies. It is now possible to record and collect a large amount of mobile phone calls in a city. Technologies for object tracking have recently become affordable and reliable and hence we were able to collect mobile phone data from a city in China from January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008. The large amount of phone call records from mobile operators can be considered as life mates and sensors of persons to inform how many peo- ple are present in any given area and how many are entering or leaving. Each phone call record usually contains the caller and callee IDs, date and time, and the base station where the phone calls are made. As mobile phones are widely used in our daily life, many human behaviors can be revealed by an- alyzing mobile phone data. Through mobile phones, we can learn the information about locations, communications be- tween mobile phone users during their daily *** this work, we propose a comprehensive visual analysissystem named as MViewer, mobile phone spatiotemporal data Viewer, which is the first system to visualize and analyze the population＇s mobility patterns from millions of phone call records. Mobility restriction measures were the main tools to control the spread of COVID-19,but the extent to which the mobility has decreased remained *** investigated the change in local population mobility and its correlation with COVID-19 infections,using 1185 billion aggregated mobile phone data records in nine main cities in China from 10 January to 24 February *** mobility fell by as much as 79.57%compared to the normal days in 2020 and by 58.13%compared to the same lunar period in *** daily incidence of COVID-19 was significantly correlated with local daily mobility(R2=0.77,P<0.001).The instantaneous reproduction number R(t)declined by 3%when mobility was reduced by 10%in the GLM analysis(P<0.05).Our study indicated that the decreased mobility level,driven by a mixture effect of holiday and public health interventions,could substantially reduce the transmission of COVID-19 to a low *** study could provide evidence of mobility restriction to control local transmission for other places facing COVID-19 outbreaks or potential next waves.

Empowering fall webworm surveillance with mobile phone-based community monitoring: a case study in northern China

Recent advances in information and communication technologies, such as mobile Internet and smart- phones, have created new paradigms for participatory environment monitoring. The ubiquitous mobile phones with capabilities such as a global positioning system, camera, and network access, offer opportunities to estab- lish distributed monitoring networks that can perform a wide range of measurements for a landscape. This study examined the potential of mobile phone-based community monitoring of fall webworm （Hyphantria cunea Drury）. We built a prototype of a participatory fall webworm monitoring System based on mobile devices that stream- lined data collection, transmission, and visualization. We also assessed the accuracy and reliability of the data collected by the local community. The system performance was evaluated at the Ziya commune of Tianjin municipality in northern China, where fall webworm infestation has occurred. The local community provided data with accuracy comparable to expert measurements （Willmott＇s index of agreement 〉0.85）. Measurements by the local community effectively complemented remote sensing images in both temporal and spatial resolution.

Using no-cost mobile phone reminders to improve attendance for HIV test results: a pilot study in rural Swaziland

Background:mobile technology has great potential to improve adherence and treatment outcomes in healthcare ***,text messaging and phone calls are unaffordable in many resource-limited *** study investigates the use of a no-cost alternative mobile phone technology using missed calls(‘buzzing’)to act as a patient *** use of missed calls as a patient reminder was evaluated for feasibility and effectiveness as an appointment reminder in the follow-up of newly-diagnosed human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)positive patients in an HIV testing and counselling department in rural ***:This pilot study uses a before-and-after operational research study design,with all patients with mobile phones being offered the *** primary outcome was the rate of attendance at the HIV testing and counselling department for collection of results in those with mobile phones before and after the introduction of the ***:Over two-thirds,71.8%(459/639),of patients had a mobile *** patients with a mobile phone consented to being *** was no difference in attendance for follow-up at the clinic before and after the intervention was implemented(80.1%versus 83.3%,p=0.401),or after adjusting for confounding factors(OR 1.13,p=0.662).Conclusion:This pilot study illustrates that mobile technology may be feasible in rural,resource-poor settings as there are high rates of mobile phone ownership and the intervention had a 100%uptake rate,with positive feedback from staff and *** this particular setting,the intervention did not improve attendance ***,further research is planned to investigate the impact on adherence to appointments and medications in other settings,such as HIV chronic care follow-up and as part of an enhanced package to improve adherence.

A Defense Model against mobile phone Malicious Codes Based on Social Computing

With the convergence of mobile communication network and Internet in depth, mobile Internet is penetrating into every field of people＇s life. Smart phone bring us great convenience, but it also becomes the breeding ground for the spread of malicious codes. In this paper, we propose a trust transfer algorithm based on the ant colony optimization algorithm to calculate the trust degree between any two nodes in the social network. Afterwards, a defense model based on social computing is presented for mobile phone malware. The simulation results show that our trust transfer algorithm improves the computation accuracy of indirect trust value by 14.65% compared with the TidalTrust algorithm, and the patch transmission speed of our model is faster than that of others.

Indoor positioning for mobile phone is important for many *** widely used mobile phone indoor positioning technologies need to pre-located anchor nodes,or collect fingerprint for the indoor ***-to-Peer Hybrid Cooperative Positioning（P2P-HCP） is a novel indoor positioning technology to provide reliable,GNSS-like navigation performance in hostile,GNSS-challenged environments.A new P2P-HCP algorithm is proposed for mobile phone indoor *** this algorithm,short-range communication is used to exchange location information.A novel data fusion algorithm is proposed to fuse both navigation satellite information and located neighboring phones’ information to estimate *** result shows that the proposed algorithm offers a good performance in accuracy and coverage in indoor environment without any priority information or pre-located anchor nodes.

Purpose: This literature review investigated the possible association between the use of mobile phones and brain tumors. Methods: In brief, 11 publications were retrieved from JSTOR, PubMed, Google Scholar and Summon in order to compare the association between the usage of mobile phones in patients with a brain tumor and those without. Papers published in English, and after 2001 were selected for. There was no limit on age, gender, geographical location and type of brain tumor. Results: For regular mobile phone usage, the combined odds ratios (OR) (95% confidence intervals) for three studies are: 1.5 (1.2 - 1.8), 1.3 (0.95 - 1.9), and 1.1 (0.8 - 1.4), respectively. Furthermore, the odds ratio did not increase, regardless of mobile phone use duration. Additionally, Lonn et al. (2005) observed that the risk also did not significantly increase when assessing the laterality (ipsilateral or contralateral) of the tumor in relation to side of head used for the mobile phone. Kan et al. (2007) observed an OR of 1.22 when comparing analog phone to digital phone use. Conclusion: This review concludes that there is no current association between mobile phone use and the development of brain tumors. Although certain studies speak in favor of an increased risk, many are plagued with either: sampling bias, misclassification bias, or issues concerning risk estimates. Further research needs to be done in order to evaluate the long-term effect of mobile phone usage on the risk of developing a brain tumor.

Like any other country,China is no exception regarding mobile phone usage,especially among adolescents..The body of literature states that there is an increasing number of Chinese adolescents who own mobile phones,consequently increasing the rate of reported conflict cases between parents and *** studies indicate that the new normal resulting from an increase in adolescent mobile phone usage has led to a rise in parent-adolescent conflicts,reasoning making up the main thrust of the current research *** aim of the analysis is to better understand the prevalence of adolescent cell phone usage in China,with an emphasis on parental practices for minimizing parental-adolescent tensions induced by mobile phone *** analysis conducted a paper-and-pencil survey to a representative group of teenagers（aged 12-17）in an eastern province,China’s second-most populated province,based on the research issue and theoretical research *** to the predicted findings of the Hierarchical ordinary least squares（OLS）regression study,teenage cell phone addiction is positively linked to parent-adolescent disputes regarding mobile phone ***,the findings showed a strong link between parental demandingness and parent-adolescent *** addition,the findings revealed a substantial correlation between parental responsiveness and parent-adolescent *** paper comfortably verified the negative impact of cell phone usage on parent-adolescent conflict based on the predicted ***,mobile phone addiction leads to a rise in parent-adolescent *** estimated results align with the systems and attachment theories that state that a rise in threats-either external or internal threats-intensifies the parent-adolescent conflict,Longmore et al.（2012）.The estimated results also support the conclusion made by He et al.（2012）stating that mobile phone addiction is one of China’s main causes of parental-adolescent conflict.

To enhance the security of user data in the clouds,we present an adaptive and dynamic data encryption method to encrypt user data in the mobile phone before it is ***,the adopted data encryption algorithm is not static and *** each encryption,this algorithm is adaptively and dynamically selected from the algorithm set in the mobile phone encryption *** the mobile phone's character,the detail encryption algorithm selection strategy is confirmed based on the user's mobile phone hardware information,personalization information and a pseudo-random ***,the data is rearranged with a randomly selected start position in the data before being *** start position's randomness makes the mobile phone data encryption ***,the rearranged data is encrypted by the selected algorithm and generated ***,the analysis shows this method possesses the higher security because the more dynamics and randomness are adaptively added into the encryption process.
