Nonlinear optical switching and all-figures of merit in Bi2S3-xSex/PMMA nanocomposite films investigated by Z scan under visible CW laser

Bi2S3-xSex/poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA)nanocomposite films were prepared using microwave assisted synthesis with different compositions of *** structure,surface morphology,and optical properties were investigated to characterize the prepared nanocomposite *** crystallinity and optical band gap of the prepared Bi2S3-xSex/PMMA were affected by *** prepared samples showed a blue shift in the absorption *** laser power dependent nonlinear refraction and absorption of Bi2S3-xSex/PMMA nanocomposite films were investigated by using the Z-scan *** optical nonlinearity of the nanocomposite films exhibited switchover from negative nonlinear refraction to positive nonlinear refraction to negative nonlinear refraction effects,and from saturable absorption to reverse saturable absorption to saturable absorption with an increase and decrease in the *** interesting all-optical figure of merit was reported to assess the nanocomposite films for a practical *** was calculated that the device all-figures of merit were based on the nonlinear response,which is important for the all-optical switching *** results demonstrate that the optimized all-optical figures of merit can be achieved by adjusting the composition and input laser power,which can be used for the design of different all-photonic devices,and the results of nonlinear switching behavior can open new possibilities for using the nanocomposite films in laser Q-switching and mode-locking.

Figure of merit analysis is a general methodology used to evaluate whether a hybrid power plant could produce more power than two stand-alone power plants. In this paper, the assessment methodology using figure of merit analysis was re-examined for a hybrid solar-geothermal power plant. A new definition of the figure of merit was introduced specifically for a solar boosted geothermal plant to include both the technical and economic factors. The new definition was then applied in a case study of a hypothetical demonstration hybrid solar-geothermal power plant in Australia. The power plant was considered to have a typical net power output of 2.2 MW with a solar energy fraction of 27%. The analysis was performed to compare the power output and capital cost of the hybrid plant with the state-of-the-art (SoA) and existing stand-alone solar and geothermal plants. Based on the new definition, the hybrid plant was found to generally outperform the two existing stand-alone plants. Moreover, at an ambient temperature of 5 °C, the hybrid plant was found to outperform the SoA stand-alone plants when the geothermal temperature was greater than 150 °C. For geothermal temperature of 180 °C on the other hand, the hybrid plant outperformed the SoA stand-alone plants at ambient temperatures lower than 33 °C.

本文采用Helmert-Wolf方法归算了merit主联测期间的LAGEOS激光测距资料，得到27个台站的坐标值，称为***4。对观测总数超过1000个标准点（Normal Point）的台站，所得坐标的内部精度约为±2cm，对观测总数为几百个标准点的台站，相应精度约为±4cm；作为比较，将***4与美国Texas大学的激光跟踪台站坐标LSC8402之间的系统差消除之后，中误差为±9.2cm，并计算了有VLBI观测的四个美国激光测卫台之间的基线长度，将由***4、Texas的LSC8402及GSFC的SL5.1AP计算的基线长度分别与VLBI的长度相比较，结果表明：由***4得到的这几条基线与VLBI的最大差值为4cm。
