A particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm improved by immunity algorithm (IA) was presented. Memory and self-regulation mechanisms of IA were used to avoid PSO plunging into local optima. Vaccination and immune selection mechanisms were used to prevent the undulate phenomenon during the evolutionary process. The algorithm was introduced through an application in the direct maintenance cost (DMC) estimation of aircraft components. Experiments results show that the algorithm can compute simply and run quickly. It resolves the combinatorial optimization problem of component DMC estimation with simple and available parameters. And it has higher accuracy than individual methods, such as PLS, BP and v-SVM, and also has better performance than other combined methods, such as basic PSO and BP neural network.

All of the forming of aircraft maintenance error is not because of human error,but the results of the interaction of multiple factors. So the new concept of the aircraft maintenance error is advanced in this paper in order to change the traditional conceptions of people. In the view of the human-machine-environment system,causes of the aircraft maintenance error have been analyzed in depth. And the error mode which is the most lively and prominent is laid special stress in analyzing. In the end the,methods and measures of preventing various modes of the aircraft maintenance error are given in the view of the human-machine-environment system.

This paper describes a mechanical technique to reduce the nozzle reaction force of a sandblasting rig. A theoretical evaluation of the magnitudes and direction of action of typical sandblasting nozzle forces has been conducted and a technique for exploiting available energy in order to reduce the magnitude of the forces at the nozzle has been developed.Experimental results from a variety of tests in different configurations have confirmed the theoretically determined force magnitude’s accuracy and shown that forces of up to 106N can be present in typical sandblasting operations. The results have also shown that an up to 77% reduction of force at the nozzle can be achieved by applying the developed mechanicaltechnique.

With the development of technology, the performance of vessel equipment is improved, the structure is more complicated, the automation level is enhanced, the source needed by maintenance is increased and the outlay is rising day by day. For these questions, this paper analyzes the factors that affect the outlay of equipment maintenance, and describes the computational principle of the BP (back propagation) artificial neural network and its applications in the maintenance of naval ship and craft. Finally, a dynamic investment prediction model of outlay for the military equipment maintenance is designed. It is important for decreasing the entire life period outlay and drawing up the maintenance plan and programming to analyze the position and action of maintenance outlay in entire life period outlay.

For some repeatedly occurring failure with root cause,the reliability centered maintenance (RCM) can’t deal with them effectively. So,the logic diagram of RCM was improved by combining it with proactive maintenance technology. First,root cause analysis is used to build a key result-cause chain of the repeatedly occur failure. Then,a reasonable link in the chain,which work station is suitable to be monitored and repaired,should be selected. Finally,the corresponding proactive maintenance measure should be adopted to prevent the matter occur on the chain and broken the key result-cause chain,and the repeatedly occur failure is to be prevent at a deeper level or from the root cause. By doing this,a system engineering method comes into being,not only it can determine the needs of preventive maintenance for equipment,but also determine the proactive maintenance needs for equipment. The analysis result of reliability centered maintenance and the analysis result considering proactive maintenance are combined to form a maintenance guideline containing proactive maintenance strategy.

This paper mainly discussed the current situation of ethnic groups’ identity and their language attitude and maintenance by giving two case studies focus on Dai ethnic group in Xishuangbanna and Bai ethnic group in Dali respectively. Both groups maintain their ethnic identity generally and their language is also maintained at home. However, they consider Chinese as a useful communicative tool in society and younger generation give more preference to Chinese.

Approximate calculation methods of prevention maintenance period under the random distribution are given,and three kinds of approximate calculation models of prevention maintenance period based on different security demands are come up with according to maintenance problems of machinery systems in modern enterprise and starting with different demands of systems. And then,how to make certain the best maintenance period by using the approximate calculation methods is illustrated by an exam- ple.

In neoplasia, telomere maintenance mechanisms (TMMs) can be prognostic and may direct therapy in the future. Two types of TMM, telomerase and recombination-based alternative lengthening of telomeres (ALT), result in four prognostic tumor groups when they occur individually, in combination, or in mutual absence. Correct designation of the TMM therefore requires an assessment of telomerase activity and for ALT telomere length distribution and ALT associated promyelocytic leukaemia protein (PML) bodies (APBs). The four groups are associated with differing prognoses that are dependent on the tumor type. As TMM inhibitors are developed, oncologists will require that pathologists determine the TMM, and the treatments will differ accordingly. Furthermore, any anti-TMM therapy administered has the potential to selectively change the TMM used by a tumor, necessitating reassessment of the therapeutic strategy. Herein, we review the telomere maintenance mechanisms, the current diagnostic measures and their utility as prognostic markers in the clinical setting.
