Complex multiscale assemblies of metal-organic frameworks are essential in the construction of largescale optical platforms but often restricted by their bulk nature and conventional *** integration of nanomaterials and 3D printing technologies allows the fabrication of multiscale functional *** study reports a unique method of controlled 3D assembly purely relying on the post-printing treatment of printed *** immersing a 3D-printed patterned construct consisting of organic ligand in a solution of lanthanide ions,in situ growth of lanthanide metal-organic frameworks(LnMOFs)can rapidly occur,resulting in macroscopic assemblies and tunable fluorescence *** phenomenon,caused by coordination and chelation of lanthanide ions,also renders a sub-millimeter resolution and high shape *** a proof of concept,a type of 3D assembled LnMOFsbased optical sensing platform has demonstrated the feasibility in response to small molecules such as *** is anticipated that the facile printing and design approach developed in this work can be applied to fabricate bespoke multiscale architectures of functional materials with controlled assembly,bringing a realistic and economic prospect.

Direct mask-free fabrication of patterned hierarchical graphene electrode for on-chip micro-supercapacitors

Graphene-based electrodes with rational structural design have shown extraordinary prospect for en-hanced electrical double-layer capacitance of micro-supercapacitors(MSCs).Herein,a facile fabrication method for flexible planar MSCs based on hierarchical graphene was demonstrated by using a laser-treated membrane for electrode patterning,complemented with hierarchical electrode configuration tak-ing full advantages of size-determined functional *** in-plane interdigital shape of MSCs was defined through vacuum filtration with the assistance of the functionalized polypropylene(PP)*** hierarchical graphene films were built by macroscopic assembly based on size effect of differ-ent lateral sized graphene sheets(rGO-LSL).The sample of MSCs based on rGO-L SL(MSCs-LSL)exhibited excellent volumetric capacitance of 6.7 F cm^(−3) and high energy density of 0.37 mWh cm−*** MSCs-LSL presented superb flexibility and cycling stability with no capacitance deteroriated after 2000 *** newly developed fabrication strategy is of good scalability and designability to manufacture flexible elec-trode for MSCs with customized shapes,while the construction of hierarchical graphene can enlighten the structural design of analogous two-dimensional materials for potential advanced electronics.

Three-dimensional(3D)graphene networks are performance boosters for functional nanostructures in energy-related *** tremendous intriguing nanostructures-decorated 3D graphene networks have been realized,on-demand decoration of nanostructures in the specified position of interest within the whole 3D graphene skeleton is still out of reach,shedding limitations on constructing more sophisticated components with programmable structures which offer enormous potential for the enhancement of performance and exploration of new ***,we report the melamine-sponge(MS)-templated hydrothermal method capable of realizing reduced graphene oxide(RGO)-nanostructure composite aerogels with programmable structures and *** key of this method is using the MS template to preset the structures of choice through programmable solution-processed immobilization of graphene oxide(GO)and ***,the hydrothermal treatment simultaneously removed the MS template and reduced the GO networks without changing the preset *** showcased nine typical RGO-nanostructures composite aerogels to demonstrate the versatility of the MS-templated hydrothermal method.
