A multifunctional material with both electrorheological（ER） performance and luminescence property was synthesized by a simple coprecipitation. The tetrabutyl titanate, as well as the Tb（NO3）3·6H2O and sulphosalicylic acid（C7H6O6S·2H2O, SSA） were chosen as starting materials. The composition, ER performance and luminescence property of the material were studied. The results showed that a novel material（TiTbSSA） with both ER performance and luminescence property was obtained. The relative shear stress τr（τr=τE/τ0, τE and τ0 were the shear stresses of the suspension with and without an applied electric field） of the suspension（30 wt.%） of the material in silicone oil reached 32.7 at a shear rate of 12.5 s–1 and an electric field strength of 4 kV/mm（DC electric field）. The material containing the rare earth（RE=Tb） complex exhibited fine luminescence performance and higher ER activity. Therefore, it is a novel multifunction material which would have wide application prospect.

A new 2D metal coordination polymer,[Zn(pydc)(L)(H_(2)O)]n·5nH_(2)O(1,H2pydc=pyridine-3,4-dicarboxylic acid,L=3-(2-pyridyl)pyrazole),was synthesized under hydrothermal conditions and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction,powder XRD,FT-IR,thermogravimetric,fluorescence spectrum and elemental analysis *** 1 belongs to the monoclinic system,P21/c space group,with a=10.707(5),b=14.221(5),c=13.278(5)A,β=102.071(5)°,V=1977.1(14)A^(3) and Z=*** features a 2D network constructed by pydc2-and L *** addition,the quantum-chemical calculations were accomplished on‘molecular fragments’extracted from the crystal structure of 1 using the PBE0/LANL2DZ method built in Gaussian 16 *** calculation values denoted the distinct covalent interaction between the coordinated atoms and Zn(Ⅱ)ion.

A novel 2D Mn（II） coordination polymer [Mn（CH3COO）2（INH）]n （INH = isoniazid） has been synthesized in DMF solution with isoniazid and Mn（CH3COO）2. The polymer was characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, FTIR and X-ray powder diffraction （XRPD）. The crystal belongs to the monoclinic system, space group P2flc with a = 9.3251 （18）, b = 16.340（3）, c = 8.8096（17） A, β = 94.747（3）°, V = 1337.7（4） A3, Z = 4, μ（MoKa） = 1.006 mm-1, F（000） = 636, R = 0.0754 and wR = 0.1375 （I 〉 2σ（I））. In the complex, each Mn（II） atom is coordinated to three CH3COO groups and two INH ligands. The Mn（II） atoms locate in a distorted coordination octahedron and are bridged by CH3COO＂ ions to form a 1D S shaped chain extending along the c direction. The INH molecules act as bridges to link the Mn（II） atoms of adjacent chains and further construct a lamellar polymer. The remaining coordination site is occupied by an O atom of the other CH3COO. The experimental results show that the title complex has good luminescence property and could be used as potential optical materials.

Five lanthanide complexes of Ln2（dpdc）2（tpy）2（NO3）2（H2O）2 [Ln=La （1）, Ce （2）, Pr （3）, Sm （4）, Gd （5）, H2dpdc=2,2’-biphenyldicarboxylic acid and tpy=2,2’：6’,2’’-terpyridine] were prepared at room temperature and characterized by X-ray diffraction, FT-IR and thermo-gravimetric analysis. The results showed that complexes 1–5 were isostructural and consisted of dinuclear units [Ln2（dpdc）2（tpy）2（NO3）（H2O）2] bridged by two dpdc2？ ligands. The dinuclear units with strong intramolecular hydrogen bonds were assembled into 2D supramolecular layers by the weak π？？？π staking interactions between pyridine rings of tpy. The TG analysis showed that the complexes 1–5 behaved higher thermal stability with no mass loss at 〈 320 °C. The lanthanide contraction effect and the solid state luminescence properties of complexes 1–5 were also investigated. The luminescence emission spectra of complexes 1–5 exhibited ligands emission bands and complex 3 and 4 had no typical emission in the visible region.

he（Gd0.97-xEuxTb0.03）AIO3（x= 0.005-0.07） phosphors were synthesized by the co-precipitation method,using ammonium bicarbonate as a *** combined technologies of FT-IR,XRD,FESEM,PLE/PL and photo luminescence decay analysis were used to study the phase evolution,morphologies and luminescent *** phosphors with good dispersion exhibit strong vivid red emission located at 617 nm（5 D0-7 F2 transition of Eu3＋） under the optimal excitation wavelength of 275 nm（4 f8-4 f75 d1 transition of Tb3＋,8 S7/2→6IJ transition of Gd3＋）.The presence of Gd3＋ and Tb3＋ excitation bands on the PLE spectra monitoring the Eu3＋ emission directly gives an evidence of Tb3＋ → Eu3＋ and Gd3＋ → Eu3＋ energy transfer,The emission intensity varies with the Eu3＋ amount,and the quenching concentration is ～5 at% which is close to the calculated *** quenching mechanism is determined to be the exchange reaction between Eu3＋.The temperature-dependent PL analysis indicates that the best（Gd0.92Eu0.05Tb0.03）AlO3 sample possesses good thermally stable *** the（Gd0.97-xEuxTb0.03）AIO3 phosphors in this work have similar CIE chromaticity coordinates and color temperatures,which are（0.65 ± 0.02,0.35 ± 0.02） and ～2558 K,*** decay analysis shows that the lifetime for～617 nm emission decreases with the content of Eu3＋ and temperature *** to the Tb3＋→ Eu3＋ energy transfer,the luminescent properties of the（Gd0.92Eu0.05Tb0.03）AlO3 phosphors are superior to the single Eu3＋ doped sample（Gd0.95Eu0.05）*** a result,the prepared phosphors may be widely used in solid-state display and light emitting devices.

Novel scheelite structures of Li_(2)Ca(WO_(4))_(2),Li_(2)Ca_(2)(WO_(4))(SiO_(4)),and LiCa_(2)(WO_(4))(PO_(4))fluorescent materials were successfully prepared using a high-temperature solid-phase *** compounds were characterized by X-ray diffraction and energy dispersive *** tests revealed that the substitution of[WO_(4)]^(2-)by[SiO_(4)]^(4-) or [PO_(4)]^(3-) tetrahedron in tungstate had no significant influence on the crystal structure of the Li_(2)Ca(WO_(4))_(2).When Dy^(3+) ions were introduced as an activator at an optimum doping concentration of 0.08 mol%,all of the as-prepared phosphors generated yellow light emissions,and the emission peak was located close to 576 ***[WO_(4)]^(2-) with [SiO_(4)]^(4-) or [PO_(4)]^(3-) tetrahedron significantly increased the luminescence of the Li_(2)Ca(WO_(4))_(2) *** them,the LiCa_(2)(WO_(4))(PO_(4)):0.08Dy^(3+) phosphor had the best luminescence properties,decay life(r=0.049 ms),and thermal stability(87.8%).In addition,the as-prepared yellow Li_(2)Ca(WO_(4))_(2):0.08Dy^(3+),Li_(2)Ca_(2)(WO_(4))(SiO_(4)):0.08Dy^(3+),and LiCa_(2)(WO_(4))(PO_(4)):0.08Dy^(3+) phosphor can be used to fabricate white light emitting diode(LED)devices.

Rare earth （La, Nd and Tb） oxides with one-dimensional micro/nanostmcatres were synthesized hydrothermally under facile and mild conditions with two surfactants, and characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, thermal gravimetry （TG）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, transmission electron microscopy （TEM） and photoluminescence. The results showed that the synthesized rare earth oxides behaved regular nano- and micro-scale structures. And the morphologies of samples depended on the radii of rare earth ions, with the help of two sur- factants of sodium dodecyl sulfonic and PEG 600. Nanocrystalline La2O3：Eu^3＋ possessed good photoluminescence （PL） property and might be used as a nanosized phosphor, its PL intensity was akered by the doping Eu^3＋ concentration and the optimum concentration of Eu^3＋ was 3 mol.%. In comparison with bulk Eu^3＋/La2O3, Eu^3＋/nano-La2O3 showed better photoluminescence property, nearly equal to that of nanocrtstalline La2O3：Eu^3＋. Tb4O7 microwires showed interesting photoluminescence properties.

Complex [Mn（tce） 0.5（H2O） 4]（1） was obtained from Mn（OAc） 2 and tce,where tce is 1,1,2,2-tetracarboxyl-ethane. The structure of 1 is a single molecule,in which Mn（II） is a distorted octahedron coordinated to six oxygen atoms. Complex [Cd（tce） 0.5（H2O） 3]（H2O）（2） fea-tures a pillared layer architecture. The Cd（II） atom is in an octahedral environment coordinated by six oxygen donors from water molecules and tce ligands. Cd（II） atoms are interlinked by the tce ligand to generate a 2-D wavelike layer. The layers are strutted by the intermolecular O-H···O hydrogen bonds to form a 3-D open framework. luminescence property of complex 2 was investigated. Magnetic property of complex 1 was also studied. 1 belongs to triclinic,space group P1 with a = 6.2901（12） ,b = 8.0212（15） ,c = 8.0769（15） A,α = 108.522（3） ,β = 95.068（3） ,γ = 97.086（3） °,V = 379.92（12）A^3,Mr = 456.08,Dc = 1.993 g/cm^3,F（000） = 232,μ = 1.748 mm^-1,Z = 1,the final R = 0.0297 and wR = 0.0731 for 1575 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I） . 2 is of monoclinic system,space group P21/c with a = 6.4367（14） ,b = 9.495（2） ,c = 13.907（3）A,β = 117.405（8） °,V = 754.6（3） A^3,Mr = 285.51,Dc = 2.513 g/cm^3,F（000） = 556,μ = 2.905 mm^-1,Z = 4,the final R = 0.0375 and wR = 0.0737 for 1521 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）.
