Evolutionary Algorithms for Solving Unconstrained Multilevel lot-sizing Problem with Series Structure

This paper presents a comparative study of evolutionary algorithms which are considered to be effective in solving the multilevel lot-sizing problem in material requirement planning(MRP)*** evolutionary algorithms(simulated annealing(SA),particle swarm optimization(PSO)and genetic algorithm(GA))are *** evaluating the performances of algorithms,the distribution of total cost(objective function)and the average computational time are *** a result,both GA and PSO have better cost performances with lower average total costs and smaller standard *** the scale of the multilevel lot-sizing problem becomes larger,PSO is of a shorter computational time.

Two-level uncapacitated lot-sizing problem considering the financing cost of working capital requirement

During financial crisis,companies constantly need free cash flows to efficiently react to any uncertainty,thus ensuring *** capital requirement(WCR)has been recognized as a key factor for releasing tied up cash in ***,in literatures related to lot-sizing problem,WCR has only been studied in the single-level supply chain *** this paper,we initially adopt WCR model for a multi-level case.A two-level(supplier–customer)model is established on the basis of the classic multi-level lot-sizing model integrated with WCR financing *** tackle this problem,we propose sequential and centralized approaches to solve the two-level case with a serial chain *** ZIO(Zero Inventory Ordering)property is further confirmed valid in both *** property allows us to establish a dynamic programming-based algorithm,which solves the problem in O(T).Finally,numerical tests show differences in optimal plans obtained by both approaches and the influence of varying delays in payment on the WCR of both actors.

An Optimization Model for the Production Planning of Overall Refinery

This article addresses a production planning optimization problem of overall refinery. The authors formulated the optimization problem as mixed integer linear programming. The model considers the main factors for optimizing the production plan of overall refinery related to the use of run-modes of processing units. The aim of this planning is to decide which run-mode to use in each processing unit in each period of a given horizon, to satisfy the demand, such as the total cost of production and inventory is minimized. The resulting model can be regarded as a generalized lot-sizing problem where a run-mode can produce and consume more than one product. The resulting optimization problem is large-sized and NP-hard. The authors have proposed a column generation-based algorithm called branch-and-price （BP） for solving the interested optimization problem. The model and implementation of the algorithm are described in detail in this article. The computational results verify the effectiveness of the proposed model and the solution method.

不同的碳排放处理模式及不确定的市场需求等因素影响下，如何选择供应商并确定采购批量直接影响企业的运营和效益。本文在多时间周期、多产品种类、多供应商及随机需求情形下，同时考虑不同碳排放处理模式，分析动态供应商选择及采购批量等最优决策问题，构建混合整数非线性规划模型。通过设计变异算子和扰动因子来改进粒子群算法，力求在短时间内求解大规模决策问题。针对不同规模供应商选择及采购批量决策问题，采用精确方法、近似方法和改进粒子群算法求解。数值实验验证了模型及改进粒子群算法的有效性和可行性，分析了碳税、碳交易价格及碳限额对供应链管理的影响，并给出了供应商选择及碳排放处理的决策参考建议。
