Guaranteed cost sliding mode control for discrete-time looper systems in hot strip finishing mills

A guaranteed cost sliding mode control(SMC)algorithm is investigated to further improve the control accuracy of looper-tension systems in hot strip finishing ***,a global sliding mode surface function is designed by linear matrix inequalities and guaranteed cost technique,which can force the system states into switching region initially,and can guarantee the system robustness with a good performance during the whole control ***,a novel reaching law is designed,which can satisfy the sliding mode reaching *** results demonstrate that the proposed control scheme has good stability and robustness comparing with traditional *** designed controller can regulate the strip tension and looper angle to ensure better performance,which is very suitable for complex looper systems.

A robust sliding mode controller is designed for looper systems in hot strip mills in order to solve the problem of tension and height decoupling *** original uncertain looper system was first transformed into a standard form for facilitating the design of the *** based on the transformed system,an improved sliding mode control strategy is *** kind of control action has robust performance,which is suitable for complex looper *** the particular mode,the corresponding sliding mode reaching condition of the controller is obtained,and gives the proof of *** design control strategy of sliding mode control for looper systems is introduced to decouple the system and improve control *** last,simulation results show that the proposed scheme can get well performance under various conditional.

looper system of hot strip rolling mill is electro mechanic and hydraulic pressure *** of dynamic parameters uncertainties and complex structure,it’s very difficult to setup the ***,its control performance has directly relative to the strip product *** this paper,robust non-fragile guaranteed cost controller is designed for looper *** a class of uncertain discrete system,based on Lyapunov stability theory and linear matrix inequalities,a sufficient condition is presented for the existence of robust non-fragile guaranteed cost ***,this solvable approach for guaranteed cost controller is given by the feasible of linear matrix *** non-fragile guaranteed cost controller is applied to looper systems of hot strip rolling *** results show the efficiency of the designing method.
