Theorems for Testing local activity of CNN and Application to Cardiac Purkinje Equations

The theorems for testing the local in one-port cellular neural/inear network (CNN) cells with four local state variables are presented. Using the theorems computes the bifurcation diagrams of the cardiac Purkinje fiber (CPE) equations Which describethe long-lasting action and pace-maker potentials of the Purkinje fiber of the heart. The computer simulation shows that periodic trajectories or convergent trajectories of the CPF Equations can be foun if the cormsponing cell Parameters are located in a positive domainbut nearby edge of chaos. In particular a heart with approximate normal frequency of heartbeat but non-normal electrocardiogram maysuddenly stop by slightly perturbing the parameters of the corresponding CPF Equations when the Paramders are located nearby the edge of chaos in the bifurcation diagrams. This research seems to interpret reasonbly the phenomena that patients with cardiac diseases might suddenly die without warning.

Abnormal local activity and Functional Dysconnectivity in Patients with Schizophrenia Having Auditory Verbal Hallucinations

Auditory verbal hallucination(AVH)is emphasized as a pathological hallmark of *** studies provide evidence linking AVH to overlapping functional abnormalities in distributed ***,no clear conclusion has still been *** study aimed to further explore the brain activity of patients with schizophrenia having AVH from both local activity(LA)and functional connectivity(FC)insights,while excluding confounding factors from other positive symptoms.A total of 42 patients with AVH(AVH patients group,APG),26 without AVH(non-AVH patients group,NPG),and 82 normal controls(NC)underwent resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI).LA measures,including regional homogeneity(ReHo)and fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations(fALFF),and FC measures were evaluated to understand the neuroimaging mechanism of *** showed increased ReHo and fALFF in the bilateral putamen(Put)compared with NPG and *** analysis(using bilateral putamen as seeds)revealed that all patients showed abnormal FC of multiple resting state network regions,including the anterior and post cingulate cortex,middle frontal gyrus,inferior parietal gyrus,and left angular ***,APG showed significantly decreased FC of insula extending to the superior temporal gyrus and inferior frontal gyrus compared with NPG and *** present findings suggested a significant correlation of abnormal LA and dysfunctional putamen-auditory cortical connectivity with the neuropathological mechanism of AVH,providing evidence for the functional disconnection hypothesis of schizophrenia.

Analytical Criteria for local activity of CNN with Two Ports and Application to Smoothed Chua's Circuit

Presents analytic criteria for the local activity theory in two-port cellularneural network (CNN) cells with four local state variables, and gives the application to a smoothedChua's circuit (SCC) CNN with two-port and I 5 S 15 arrays. The bifurcation diagrams of the SCC CNNshow that they are completely the same as those of an SCC CNN with one-port calculated earlier;which do not exist locally passive domain. The evolution of the patterns of the state variables ofthe SCC CNN is stimulated. Oscillatory patterns, chaotic patterns, or divergent patterns may emergeif the selected cell parameters are located in the locally active unstable domains but nearby theedge of chaos domain.

The analytic criteria for the local activity theory in one-port cellularneural network (CNN) with five local state variables are presented. The application to a Hyper-chaossynchronization Chua's circuit (HCSCC) CNN with 1125 variables is studied. The bifurcation diagramsof the HCSCC CNN show that they are slightly different from the smoothed CNN with one or two portsand four state variables calculated earlier. The evolution of the patterns of the state variables ofthe HCSCC CNN is stimulated. Oscillatory patterns, chaotic patterns, convergent or divergentpatterns may emerge if the selected cell parameters are located in the locally active domains butnearby or in the edge of chaos domain.
