Outage-driven link selection for secure buffer-aided networks

In this paper, we investigate secure communication in a two-hop wireless network, where multiple buffer-aided relays assist to securely forward data from the sender to the destination threatened by a passive eavesdropper. To satisfy the security and delay requirements, we propose a novel link selection policy without the instantaneous wiretap channel state information. Different from the most current link selection policies,the proposed link selection policy is designed by joint considering the link secrecy outage probability and the buffer states. To evaluate the secrecy performance, we first characterize the system state transition matrix and the stationary state probability, and then derive the closed-form expressions for the secrecy outage probability and the secrecy rate. Moreover, we formulate a framework based on the queuing theory to analyze the end-to-end information delay at the source, the relays, and the queues, and derive the closed-form expression for the information delay. Finally, we conduct simulations to validate our theoretical performance analysis, and verify the performance improvement of the proposed outage-driven secure transmission scheme in terms of secrecy outage probability and information delay.

For device-free localization(DFL) in wireless networks,fixed deployment of dense radio frequency(RF) nodes around an area of interest is often required,which generates a large number of links between the pairwise nodes to create a tomographic measurement of the *** propose D-optimality criterion-based link selection for the purpose of reducing the energy consumption of wireless networks,simultaneously improving the efficiency of location *** the assumption of a predominant line-of-sight(LOS) path environment,DFL is formulated as a linear elliptical measurement *** our network contains M effective links,but the available resources limit us to k links,the problem addressed in this article is how to select k links within the M candidate links so that we preserve as much information as possible and thus obtain the best estimation for *** problem can be modelled using a D-optimality criterion-based experimental *** selection is approximately solved by maximizing the determinant of the information matrix with a relaxed Boolean constraint and finding the indexes corresponding to the k largest elements of optimization *** evaluate the proposed approach in terms of the determinant value,localization error,and recovery time under different numbers of *** studies in three different environments are conducted to verify the better performance of the proposed approach with respect to the widely used random link selection.

Vehicular network communication technology is currently attracting a considerable amount of *** consider a scenario in which vehicular communication nodes share the same spectrum resources and generate interference with other *** with traditional interference-avoiding vehicular communications,this paper aims to increase the number of accessed communication links under the premise of satisfying the required *** our research,communication nodes have opportunities to select relay nodes to both help improve their data transmissions and reduce their transmit power in order to decrease interference with other links while still satisfying their QoS *** on these objectives,we propose an innovative interference management method that considers link selection,power adaption,and communication mode selection simultaneously to maximize the number of communication links with the lowest power *** with traditional link-selection and power-adaption interference management schemes,the proposed scheme improves QoS satisfaction with high energy *** results demonstrate both the effciency and the e ectiveness of the proposed scheme.
