Controlling Chaotic Behavior in a Bose-Einstein Condensate with linear feedback

The spatial structure of a Bose-Einstein condensate （BEC） loaded into an optical lattice potential is investigated and the spatially chaotic distributions of the condensates are revealed. A method of chaos control with linear feedback is presented in this paper. By using the method, we propose a scheme of controlling chaotic behavior in a BEC with atomic mirrors. The results of the computer simulation show that controlling the chaos into the stable states could be realized by adjusting the coefficient of feedback only if the maximum Lyapunov exponent of the system is negative.

Stabilization of Delayed Networks with Different Nodes

In this paper,the control of complex delayed networks with different nodes is ***,the stabilization of coupled networks with time delay is *** constructing a Lyapunov function,a linear feedback controller design procedure for the networks is converted to the problem of solving a set of linear matrix *** the results are extended to networks with both delayed dynamical nodes and delayed *** is shown that the stabilization of complex networks is determined by the dynamics of each uncoupled node,coupling matrix and feedback gain matrix of *** examples are *** the first example,a network with 10 nodes consisting of Lorenz systems and systems proposed by Zhang in 2009 is *** is found that the network states are divergent without control,and convergent under designed linear feedback *** the second example,a larger network with 100 nodes consisting of delayed Chen systems and delayed Lorenz systems is *** proposed method is also effective for large scale networks.

Pinning control of general complex dynamical networks with optimization

This paper addresses optimal pinning control of general complex dynamical networks. A pinning scheme with linear feedback is proposed to globally exponentially stabilize a network onto a homogeneous state. In particular, we answer an important and fundamental question about pinning control: how to select an optimal combination between the number of pinned nodes and the feedback control gain? Three illustrative examples are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed technique.
