Random stability for lateral vibration on footbridge based on IEVIE-PDE method

The pedestrian-induced lateral vibration of footbridges is essentially classified as a nonlinear stochastic ***,bridge vibration stability falls within the field of nonlinear stochastic vibration *** present,the Lyapunov method is mainly used to analyze such ***,this method is qualitative,and it cannot quantitatively analyze the vibration stability *** this study,a new analytical method based on a comparison of the input energy and the variation of intrinsic energy(IEVIE)is used to analyze the nonlinear stochastic vibration stability of the lateral vibration of the *** improved Nakamura model is used to describe the lateral nonlinear stochastic vibration of the footbridge.A combination of the IEVIE method and the probability density evolution(PDE)method is then proposed,in which the IEVIE method is utilized to determine vibration *** PDE method is used to obtain the reliability of vibration *** proposed method is successfully applied to the Millennium Bridge,and its effectiveness is verified by comparing the Monte Carlo and Lyapunov *** proposed method can obtain the dynamic probability of the vibration as stable or instable and provide a reference for quantitative analysis of lateral nonlinear stochastic vibration stability of footbridges.

According to the structure and stress trait of bearing bolts,a lateral-vibrationmechanics model was established for them,and the relation between lateral-vibration frequencyand axial load was analyzed;then,lateral-vibration trait of bearing bolts was studiedthrough laboratory simulation *** results indicate that vibration frequency of boltsupport system increases as well as axial force,the detection on axial load of bolts can bemade by generating lateral vibration of bearing *** and experimental researchresults show that frequency method is effective for detecting the axial force of boltsupport system.

In recently,fnite elements method(FEM)has been used most popular for analysis of stress,vibration,heat fow and many other *** a rig shafting as an example,this paper studies the lateral vibration of the rig shafting with multi-degree-of-freedom by using *** FEM model is created and the eigenvalues and eigenvectors are calculated and analyzed to fnd natural frequencies,critical speeds,mode shapes and unbalance *** critical and mode shapes are ***,responses of unbalance force are analyzed in case of undamped and damped system,and peaks of response are compared.

For the hazard of single column pier girder bridge lateral overturning, this paper based on the bridge dynamics modeling and simulation, studied the physical characteristics of bridge lateral vibration under differently conditions of bridge length, vehicle off-center distance and multi variable load driving respectively, then considering random disturbance load driving the loading bridge’s pulse and step acting simulations were given out with differently cases. Furthermore, the single column pier bridge lateral overturning process was equivalent the bridge box girder rigid body rotating process under the lateral vibration,then obtained the synthetical effects of the lateral vibration and its harmful period characteristics with differently bridge length variable load and vehicle speed, respectively. Lastly, the qualitative analysis was given for bridge lateral overturning conditions under variable load driving.

As the speed of train increases, the lateral vibration of high-speed trains becomes more and more intensive. For the lateral semi-active suspension system based on magnetorheological damper, this paper proposes a control method using a second-order sliding mode to suppress the lateral vibration of high-speed trains. First, the new model of magnetorheological damper integrated high-speed train was introduced. Next, a second-order sliding mode controller is designed based on the 3-degree-of-freedom simulation model to suppress the lateral vibration of the vehicle body. Finally, the input of periodic track irregularities is analyzed. Compared with the passive system, this control strategy can improve the lateral ride comfortableness of the vehicle.
