Dear Editor, Translocations of the same chromosomal fragments to two or more different chromosomes in different somatic cell lineages are referred to as jumping translocations (JTs).JTs have been mainly reported in hematological malignancies but have been observed in rare instances also as constitutional chromosomal aberrations.2 The underlying JT mechanism remains unclear,however.

Maximal local loads in animal joints are necessary to design bio-inspired mechanical joints.Many studies presented methods to determine joint reaction forces in humans and animals.However,many of these methods are invasive,and no work has been published yet about the joint reaction forces in the horse forelimb during jumping.Non-invasive methods to measure the kinematics and ground reaction force of a horse forelimb were used in this work.A musculoskeletal model of horse forelimb was built with mechanical methods for the estimation of joint reaction forces.The entire forelimb was reconstructed by scanning real bones geometry with a 3D optical scanner and modeling all the muscles on a Computer Assisted Design(CAD)software.The model dynamics were simulated with OpenSim in order to estimate the joint loading.This study allows knowing an order of magnitude of the loads at the joints at jumping in order to determine latter the maximal joint contact loading values that will be a key at designing bio-inspired joints for mechanical assemblies.

A galvanostatic glucose oxidase (GOD_x)/polypyrrole (Ppy) biosensor fabricated through a potential jumping process was reported.In spite of the instantaneous voltage jumping from 0.95 V to 1.7 V versus Ag/AgCl in the galvanostatic polymerization of pyrrole with commercial GOD_x,this GOD_x enzyme still could be successfully bundled with polypyrrole (Ppy).And,the results also confirmed that this glucose sensor not only possessed of better sensitivity to glucose than that fabricated from potentiometry or mild voltage elevating galvanometry for the similar preparing conditions but also exhibited two-week long-term stability.Finally,the kinetic data of Michalis constant (K_m) and Maximum current (I_m) for the optimized sensor were derived.The discovery this electro-modification process may disclose a novel method for fabricating the other enzyme biosensors.

In diverse and self-governed multiple clouds context, the service management and discovery are greatly challenged by the dynamic and evolving features of services. How to manage the features of cloud services and support accurate and efficient service discovery has becomean open problem in the area of cloud computing. This paper proposes a field model of multiple cloud services and corresponding service discovery method to address the issue. Different from existing researches, our approach is inspired by Bohr atom model. We use the abstraction of energy level and jumping mechanism to describe services status and variations, and thereby to support the service demarcation and discovery. The contributions of this paper are threefold. First, we propose the abstraction of service energy level to represent the status of services, and service jumping mechanism to investigate the dynamic and evolving features as the variations and re-demarcation of cloud services according to their energy levels. Second, we present user acceptable service region to describe the services satisfying users' requests and corresponding service discovery method, which can significantly decrease services search scope and improve the speed and precision of service discovery. Third, a series of algorithms are designed to implement the generation of field model, user acceptable service regions, service jumping mechanism, and user-oriented service discovery. We have conducted an extensive experiments on QWS dataset to validate and evaluate our proposed models and algorithms. The results show that field model can well support the representation of dynamic and evolving aspects of services in multiple clouds context and the algorithms can improve the accuracy and efficiency of service discovery.

Background:Many jumping interventions have been performed in children and adolescents in order to improve bone-related variables and thus,ensure a healthy bone development during these periods and later in life.This systematic review aims to summarize and update present knowledge regarding the effects that jumping interventions may have on bone mass,structure and metabolism in order to ascertain the efficacy and durability (duration of the effects caused by the intervention) of the interventions.Data sources:Identification of studies was performed by searching in the database MEDLINE/PubMed and SportDiscus.Additional studies were identified by contacting clinical experts and searching bibliographies and abstracts.Search terms included 'bone and bones','jump*','weight-bearing','resistance training' and 'school intervention'.The search was conducted up to October 2014.Only studies that had performed a specific jumping intervention in under 18-year olds and had measured bone mass were included.Independent extraction of articles was done by 2 authors using predefined data fields.Results:A total of 26 studies were included in this review.Twenty-four studies found positive results as subjects included in the intervention groups showed higher bone mineral density,bone mineral content and bone structure improvements than controls.Only two studies found no effects on bone mass after a 10-week and 9-month intervention.Moreover,those studies that evaluated the durability of the effects found that some of the increases in the intervention groups were maintained after several years.Conclusions:jumping interventions during childhood and adolescence improve bone mineral content,density and structural properties without side effects.These type of interventions should be therefore implemented when possible in order to increase bone mass in early stages of life,which may have a direct preventive effect on bone diseases like osteoporosis later in fife.

The peering-jump behavior was studied for the common field grasshopper Chorthippus brunneus, the meadow grasshopper C. parallelus and the alpine grasshopper Miramella alpina （Orthoptera, Caelifera）. It was found that immediately before jumping M. alpina executes primarily unilateral object-related peering movements, with approximately twice the amplitude and velocity of the predominantly bilateral object-related peering movements of the other two species. Whereas M. alpina almost always jumped toward the black stripes in the experimental arena, the other species jumped toward both the black stripes and the white spaces between them. All three species preferred the same pattern of black stripes, which permitted them to view one black stripe frontally, with an additional black stripe to the left and right, in the lateral visual field. The similarities and differences in the peering-jump behavior of the three grasshopper species is discussed with regard to visual perception （parallax cues） and environmental adaptation.

Higher-dimensional chaotic dynamics of a composite laminated piezoelectric rectangular plate

The analysis on the chaotic dynamics of a six-dimensional nonlinear system which represents the averaged equation of a composite laminated piezoelectric rectangular plate is given for the first time. The theory of normal form and the energy-phase method are combined to investigate the higher-dimen-sional chaotic dynamics of the composite laminated piezoelectric rectangular plate. Firstly,the theory of normal form is used to reduce the six-dimensional averaged equation to the simpler normal form. Then,the energy-phase method is extended to analyze the global bifurcations and chaotic dynamics of a six-dimensional nonlinear system. The analysis results indicate that there exist the homoclinic bi-furcation and Shilnikov type multi-pulse chaos for the composite laminated piezoelectric rectangular plate. Finally,numerical simulations are also used to investigate the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of the composite laminated piezoelectric rectangular plate. The results of numerical simulations also demonstrate that there exist the chaotic motions and the multi-pulse jumping orbits of the composite laminated piezoelectric rectangular plate.

The discrete logarithm problem(DLP)is to find a solution n such that g^n=h in a finite cyclic group G=,where h∈G.The DLP is the security foundation of many cryptosystems,such as RSA.We propose a method to improve Pollard’s kangaroo algorithm,which is the classic algorithm for solving the DLP.In the proposed algorithm,the large integer multiplications are reduced by controlling whether to perform large integer multiplication.To control the process,the tools of expanding factor and jumping distance are introduced.The expanding factor is an indicator used to measure the probability of collision.Large integer multiplication is performed if the value of the expanding factor is greater than the given bound.The improved algorithm requires an average of(1.633+o(1))q(1/2)times of the large integer multiplications.In experiments,the average large integer multiplication times is approximately(1.5+o(1))q(1/2).
