In honor of Professor John *** for his 100th birthday,this article tries to find the relationship between the discovery of cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries and the interdisciplinary research in his *** original ideas of lithium cobalt oxide,lithium manganese oxide,and LiFePO4 came from his early research in solid state physics and from his strong knowledge of chemical structure and *** examples are given to demonstrate the importance of interdisciplinary interactions among materials,chemistry,and *** the rapid development of rechargeable batteries,such interdisciplinarity is further extended to engineering,information,and even artificial *** there are still many challenges like energy density and safety in the batteries,we are confident that a better solution will be soon found.

Purpose:interdisciplinarity is a hot topic in science and technology ***,the concept of interdisciplinarity is both abstract and complex,and therefore difficult to measure using a single indicator.A variety of metrics for measuring the diversity and interdisciplinarity of articles,journals,and fields have been proposed in the *** this article,we ask whether institutions can be ranked in terms of their(inter-)disciplinary ***/methodology/approach:We developed a software application(interd_***)that outputs the values of relevant diversity indicators for any document set or network *** software is made available,free to the public,*** indicators it considers include the advanced diversity indicators Rao-Stirling(RS)diversity and DIV*,as well as standard measures of diversity,such as the Gini coefficient,Shannon entropy,and the Simpson *** an empirical demonstration of how the application works,we compared the research portfolios of 42“Double First-Class”Chinese universities across Web of Science Subject Categories(WCs).Findings:The empirical results suggest that DIV*provides results that are more in line with one’s intuitive impressions than RS,particularly when the results are based on sampledependent disparity ***,the scores for diversity are more consistent when based on a global disparity matrix than on a local *** limitations:“interdisciplinarity”can be operationalized as bibliographic coupling among(sets of)documents with references to *** the institutional level,however,diversity may also indicate *** impact(***),diversity and interdisciplinarity are context-specific and therefore provide a second dimension to the *** or practical implications:Operationalization and quantification make it necessary for analysts to make their choices and options *** the equations used to calculate diversity are often mathematically

Big Data is a hot topic at present,and many disciplines are engaged in ***,the relationship and status of these disciplines in Big Data research are still not well *** on bibliometric data from the Web of Science,this study analyzes the interdisciplinarity of Big Data *** focuses on its spatial and temporal distribution characteristics by combining traditional bibliometrics,interdisciplinarity indicators,and so cial network *** found that:1)In recent years,the research topics of Big Data include the Internet of Things,Syndromic Surveillance,Knowledge M anagement,Industry 4.0,etc.M ost Big Data research comes from China,the United States,and India.2)Big Data research involved 141 disciplines,but the disciplinary distribution is unbalanced,among which the diversity of disciplines is constantly improving;The balance of disciplines is on the rise,and the situation that is dominated by a few disciplines has been improved;The disparity of disciplines increases and researchers tend to cite the disciplines that are quite different from their own disciplines.3)Computer Science and Engineering are the two most important disciplines in the Big Data *** to the collaboration degree,the interdisciplinary collaboration network can be divided into five communities:Community 1,represented by Computer Science and Engineering;Community 2,represented by Business&Economics;Community 3,represented by Science&Technology;Community 4,represented by M aterials Science;Community 5,represented by Health Care Sciences&*** collaboration between a few key disciplines has changed,and the whole network is still expanding in Big Data research.

This contribution discusses some results of the ongoing research focused on the protection of cultural heritage from flood danger. The research project Methodology of Protection and Rescue of Cultural Heritage against Flood takes place in the Czech Republic and is focused on specific regional problems that have been experienced during and after disastrous floods in past 15 years. However, the lessons learned have wider applicability to the issue of flood protection of cultural heritage. Here, we describe two case studies that represent important issues requiring a solution;addressing these issues was the main motivation for the whole project.

interdisciplinarity is strongly promoted by institutions and is the subject of abundant scientific publications on its history,definition,and typologies,as well as on its obstacles and *** article aims to provide insight into the development of an interdisciplinary research *** will present the path that led from an administrative management question to a doctorate in philosophy of medicine on supportive care,thanks to a rich collaboration between a wide range of academic,hospital,and association *** analysis of the literature will show how the long history of science underpins disciplinary issues in the development of a research *** method will make visible the long dialogue between the partners in this *** results will show how the research question evolved throughout the ***,the discussion will propose three concepts to put interdisciplinarity into perspective:collaboration,attention,and tranquility.

interdisciplinarity and participatory research have become the guiding principles of cancer *** what are the practical forms and methods?Based on the experience of 3 successive research projects aimed at improving cancer care pathways-PARCA1,PARCA2 and 4P-we present the encounters between researchers on the one hand,and between these same researchers and patients and health professionals on the ***,these meetings have led to the co-construction of projects and the shared conduct of *** motivations behind the participatory approach are highlighted,as well as the‘step-by-step’approach needed to familiarize the people involved with the research process,and the limits of the approach:while everyone’s position tends to be adjusted as the projects progress,there is still an imbalance between the researchers and the people involved.

The development of digital platforms is transforming caregiver-patient interactions and the dissemination of *** information from the Internet has become a habit for many patients and must be considered by ***,understanding the use of digital tools by patients is a public health *** Sav-AQ study aims to understand patterns of use by women with breast cancer and the role of health ***-AQ is an exploratory feasibility study with a mixed design,exploring patient and healthcare experience before and after the integration of a specific website into their care *** research is based on the digital platform“My Breast Cancer Network”,which was built by and for patients with breast cancer.A group of 30 breast cancer patients and six healthcare professionals using the platform were *** results show that for all users,the activity on the website decreases over *** the beginning of the course,patients were more assiduous,which can be explained by the search for elements related to an unknown care *** results also show that technical skills to use the platform are necessary for patients and must be accompanied by a health *** is of interest to devise a larger study to assessing the impact of such a platform on patient healthcare uptake and health skills development.

Over the last forty years,many methodologies have been initiated within the framework of the participatory approach,the objective of which is to encourage the involvement of citizens in the definition and implementation of projects and policies concerning *** implementation of these participatory approaches in the field of interventional research in population health reveals several scientific,organizational,inter-individual,and ethical issues that must be ***,we propose to present here the fruit of a collective reflection of the members of a research group,composed of patient-researchers and researchers in social psychology,on the implementation of the IMPAQT research project,which aimed to promote a community-based research approach in *** discussion will be structured around three topics:the implementation of the participatory research mechanism,the sustainability of the commitment involved in participating in research,and the valorization of the participation of the *** issues are particularly important to consider in guiding the implementation of a solid and balanced partnership with those concerned in the co-construction of interventional research devices in cancerology.
