Culture is one of the important properties of language, and language can not be separated from society and culture. Every language is the reflection of culture with profound cultural connotations. Many experts and scholars have generally agreed that intercultural communication competence is an important purpose of language learning. The process of learning English is the process to understand and master English cultural and knowledge, and mastery degree of English-speaking countries and cultural knowledge directly affects practical skills of one person.

intercultural education was paid more and more attention in college English ***,the college English teaching is still stay in "language ability stage".So,more and more people realize that"student need a kind of intercultural communication competence,so that,they can benefit from the education of language and culture".(Byram&Morgan,1994:62).We must integrate language and culture in the foreign language classroom and optimize the atmosphere of English cultural cognition to improve the intercultural communication competence of students in college.

In China, the importance of intercultural education is fully recognized by scholars and teachers for languages teaching. However, practitioners are overwhelmed by the contested definitions of intercultural competences. Moreover, English teachers are unconsciously falling into the ideological pitfall. Furthermore, the importance of the identities involved in teaching is ignored by English teachers.

This article reviews preservice teacher arts education university course work with the goal of informing cross-cultural competencies for Indonesian teacher *** authors are mid-career education faculty,who visited six universities in three countries to observe cross-cultural contents in teacher preparation ***-cultural competence relies on theories of globalization,intercultural and multicultural *** a case study method,the authors gathered data through relevant literature,course descriptions,met with stakeholders,wrote and coded reflective and reflexive field notes,and identified *** trends included the infusion of Eastern content into Western course work,and the role of Western arts forms in Eastern *** findings support the development of“cross-cultural communication through the arts”or“komunikasi silang budaya melalui seni”as a way of approaching cross-cultural teaching in Indonesia.

This paper, first, looks into what cultural diversity in higher education is. Secondly, it offers speculations on different attitudes of educators and students to multiculturalism because of certain myths that are also described and dispelled. Thirdly, the author dwells on types of programs that may help maintain cultural diversity in universities. Finally, the author focuses on the contribution of the National Research University HSE （＂Higher School of Economics＂） to promoting multiculturalism, mostly on arranging international online forums to bring two and more cultures together. When analyzing the forum content, communication strategies used by the students were determined and described.
