Well-posedness of Cauchy problems for Korteweg-de Vries-Benjamin-Ono equation and hirota equation

The well-posedness of the Cauchy problems to the Korteweg-de Vries-Benjamin-Ono equation and hirota equation is considered. For the Korteweg-de Vries-Benjamin-Ono equation,local result is established for data in H s(R)s≥-18 . Moreover,the global well-posedness for data in L 2(R) can be obtained. For hirota equation,local result is established for initial data in H ss≥14 . In addition,the local solution is proved to be global in H s(s≥1) if the initial data are in H s(s≥1) by energy inequality and the generalization of the trilinear estimates associated with the Fourier restriction norm method.

Data-driven parametric soliton-rogon state transitions for nonlinear wave equations using deep learning with Fourier neural operator

In this paper,we develop the deep learning-based Fourier neural operator(FNO)approach to find parametric mappings,which are used to approximately display abundant wave structures in the nonlinear Schr?dinger(NLS)equation,hirota equation,and NLS equation with the generalized PT-symmetric Scarf-II ***,we analyze the state transitions of different types of solitons(*** solitons,breathers,peakons,rogons,and periodic waves)appearing in these complex nonlinear wave *** checking the absolute errors between the predicted solutions and exact solutions,we can find that the FNO with the Ge Lu activation function can perform well in all cases even though these solution parameters have strong influences on the wave ***,we find that the approximation errors via the physics-informed neural networks(PINNs)are similar in magnitude to those of the ***,the FNO can learn the entire family of solutions under a given distribution every time,while the PINNs can only learn some specific solution each *** results obtained in this paper will be useful for exploring physical mechanisms of soliton excitations in nonlinear wave equations and applying the FNO in other nonlinear wave equations.

Generation and propagation of subpicosecond pulse train

Higher-order nonlinear Schrodinger equation with the hirota constraint conditions is considered, and an analytic solution, which can describe the modulational instability process, is presented. Based on the solution, a new pulse train without continuous wave （CW） background is generated in quadratures and the propagation of the pulse train is discussed in detail by simulating numerically. The results show that, unlike the propagation of the picosecond pulse train, under the effects of the higher-order terms, the pulse train cannot propagate along the fibre when the energy is very high; however, for some medium energy the pulse train can stably propagate. We also investigate the stability of the pulse train against violation of the hirota conditions, and the results show that the pulse train can still propagate stably when the hirota conditions are broken.
