higher Vocational Education(HVE) is an important component of higher education in our country.The English Curriculum Standard of HVE considers promoting the students' reading comprehension as one of the most important goals in English teaching.Task-based CL emphasizes the importance of education as a vehicle for teaching citizens to live cooperatively in a social democracy and teachers are not the only sources of knowledge and students should be able to help each other and learn in an interdependent way.The heart of cooperative learning is student-centered.Therefore,task-based CL can overcome the shortcomings in traditional teaching models,and the goal of improving reading comprehension can be achieved for the teachers of reading by realizing the mental process of reading comprehension and how prior knowledge can enhance a reader's interaction with the text through CL.This thesis consists of five parts.Part one,two and three briefly introduces the background and significance of the study,definitions and models of cooperative learning and reading comprehension.Part four and five are the key sections of the thesis,which introduces the hypotheses,subjects,instrument,procedure of the study and the analysis of the results of the study.Part five draws the conclusion of the study.

The adequacy of state funding for higher education in America is vital to cultivate the qualified workforce and help in developing the state’s economy.With the economy downturn situation,whether the current state funding is adequate to the need of institutions and students is a valuable question to be investigated.This research reviewed the whole trends of state and federal support of the higher education,having analyzed the data of higher education funding for the whole state,for the institution development,and for the students and their families.With the enrollment increasing and the inflation growing,the state fund was dropping.Although states supply a greater part of funding to public universities,most of the state funding goes to community colleges and non-research public institutions.The public research institutions and undergraduate education are important components in higher education,generating changing the development for the entire society.The state should make some adjustments in distributing funding in order to keep up with the most urgent needs of the higher education and ease pressure on the institutions,and ease the financial burden on students and their families.

For vocational education, modern apprenticeship is of great importance to its teaching quality, and the application of modern apprenticeship in training e-commerce professionals in higher vocational colleges can promote the training of e-commerce professionals. This paper briefly introduces the modern apprenticeship system, and has analyzed the existing problems in the teaching of e-commerce specialty in higher vocational colleges and the training model of modern apprenticeship for e-commerce professionals in higher vocational colleges, and finally, it puts forward several problems which we should pay attention to in the application of the modern apprenticeship to improve the teaching level of the major of e-commerce and promote the development of contemporary vocational education.

Project teaching method sets the carrier of teaching as a project, takes students as the main body, and changes the traditional teaching mode. Project teaching method, as a new teaching mode, has been applied to English teaching. It is a method that takes the project subject as the center and students complete a series of learning activities under the guidance of teachers. The ultimate goal of higher vocational education is to train technical and skilled talents for the society. Introducing the project teaching method into English teaching in higher vocational colleges, while stimulating students' enthusiasm for English learning and improving the practical application ability of language, the students' comprehensive professional ability is cultivated. For the language learning of students, the application of the project teaching method, the students will apply all the knowledge they have learned in practice based on the project intermediary. The introduction of the project teaching method is not only a challenge to the traditional teaching mode, but also effectively solves the problems in the teaching of public English courses.

With the continuous deepening of the new curriculum reform, quality education has received much attention. In the teaching of higher vocational education, the cultivation of students’ comprehensive application ability is increasingly important. In the “Internet +” era, education informatization has become a new trend in its development, but at present, the industry English teaching in higher vocational colleges is still dominated by the traditional teaching model, and there is a widespread phenomenon of “taking emphasis on theory and ignoring practice.” In English teaching in higher vocational colleges, industry English teaching is very important, and it plays a very signi??cant role in the cultivation of students’ professional English skills. Based on the overview of industry English, this paper puts forward the status quo and countermeasures of the industry English teaching in the “Internet +” era, and analyzes the feasibility of the reform of the industry English teaching model in higher vocational colleges, hopes to provide references for the development of China’s industry English teaching in higher vocational colleges.
