Comparative study of neuropeptide signaling systems in hemiptera

Numerous physiological processes in insects are tightly regulated by neuropeptides and their *** they form an ancient signaling system,there is still a great deal of variety in neuropeptides and their receptors among different species within the same *** and their receptors have been documented in many hemipteran insects,but the differences among them have been poorly *** grapevines worldwide are plagued by the bug Daktulosphaira vitifoliae(hemiptera:Sternorrhyncha).Here,33 neuropeptide precursors and 48 putative neuropeptide G protein-coupled receptor(GPCR)genes were identified in *** expression profiles at the probe and feeding stages reflected potential regulatory roles in probe *** comparison,we found that the Releasing Hormone-Related Peptides(GnRHs)system of Sternorrhyncha was differentiated from those of the other 2 suborders in *** secondary losses of the adipokinetic hormone/corazoninrelated peptide receptor(ACP)and corazonin(CRZ)occurred during the evolution of ***,we discovered that the neuropeptide signaling systems of Sternorrhyncha were very different from those of Heteroptera and Auchenorrhyncha,which was consistent with Sternorrhyncha's phylogenetic position at the base of the *** research provides more knowledge on neuropeptide systems and sets the groundwork for the creation of novel *** management strategies that specifically target these signaling pathways.

A hemipteran nymph of the sternorrhynchan lineage, placed in the family Protopsyllidiidae is the first found in the fossil record, based on an inclusion in amber from the Lower Cretaceous of Hammana / Mdeyrij, Abeih Formation, Central Lebanon. Based on distinctive features such as a median dorsal elevation and the presence of a large, conical, exposed, setiferous anal tube, the fossil is placed in Talaya batraba gen. et sp. nov. and the newly erected taxon is compared to known nymphs of extinct Protopsyllidiidae. The evolutionary traits of the family and its relatives are considered.

The elementary traits and diversity of embryonic setal patterns of 31 species of 22 genera, in three tribes of Hormaphidinae are studied. The embryonic setal patterns to every species are provided. Based on the parsimony principle and the developmental principle, these patterns are analyzed in each tribe following the terminology of Richards （1965）. It is suggested that the setal patterns of abdominal tergites are the most important characters in embryonic and adult setal patterns. In conclusion, neoteny is a phylogenetic trend in the Hormaphidinae. Nipponaphidini and Hormaphidini have more typical neoteny in each genus and more diversity in different types of adult viviparous females than Cerataphidini, by showing more frequent and various protopatterns or mesopatterns.

The present study describes a new genus and species Unicohormaphis sorini,which belongs to the subfamily *** contemporary distribution of aphids belonging to the Hormaphididae family is summarized and *** to the obtained data,the climate warming in Eocene was conducive to the expansion of the family over the areas of *** climate changes,resulting from epeirogenic and orogenic movements towards the end of Eocene,led to a considerable cooling and drying of climate in the northern *** processes contributed to the shrinking down of areas covered by subtropical forests,which constituted the habitat of Hormaphididae（Cerataphidinae）.Retaining their way of life,the Cerataphidinae were forced to limit their distribution,and the representatives of the family in Europe became completely extinct.

Four new fossil genera and species of true bugs from the family Pachymeridiidae, Beipiaocoris multifurcus, Bellicoris mirabilis, Nitoculus regiUus, and Viriosinervis stolidus, are described. New specimens were collected from the Middle and Upper Jurassic non-marine sedimentary strata from the Jiulongshan and Yixian Formations of northeast China. The species Karatavocoris asiatica Becker-Migdisova, 1963, which was considered to be a member of the family Coreidae is transferred to the Pachymeridiidae. A new map of all known and newly discovered fossil pachymeridiid localities is given. The diagnosis of the family is modified.

Aphids are marked by their high polymorphism, but species reported from the Early Cretaceous are known only from alate morphs. The discovery of an apterous adult morph in Lebanese amber and a larva of the same species are very important for the understanding of both the morphological and biological evolution of this insect group at the very early stage of development. Gondvanoaphis estephani new subfamily, new genus and species of the recent aphids family Thelaxidae is described. The characters of the new genus in respect to other genera placed in Thelaxidae are reviewed. The palaeoeeological and palaeogeographical data concerning Gondvanoaphis new genus are also discussed.

Until now, all Chinese palaeontinids have come from northern China and are more diverse than any other hemipterous insects in the Mesozoic. Most palaeontinids have been discovered from the area encompassing northern Hebei, the Ningcheng area of Inner Mongolia and western Liaoning. The difference in ubiquity of fossil records between northern and southern China is probably related to taphonomical and collecting bias. Records of Early and Late Jurassic palaeontinids are very scarce. The highest diversity of palaeontinid species occurs in the Middle Jurassic of Daohugou Lagerstfitte. Early Cretaceous palaeontinids of China are restricted to the typical distribution of Jehol Biota. Palaeontinodes sp. is described from the Lower Cretaceous Yixian Formation of Yangshuwanzi, Inner Mongolia and is the only Palaeontinodes specimen from the Cretaceous. Plachutella exculpta Zhang, 1997 from the Lower Jurassic Badaowan Formation of Karamai, Xinjiang is re-described and some previously reported species of this genus are discussed.

Photographs of the dorsal habitus and illustrations of the genitalia are provided. All type specimens are deposited in Institute of Entomology, Nankai University, Tianjin, China.
