The 29th Olympic Game will be held in Beijing in 2008. It will be a green game to promote sustainable development of men, cities and regions through ecological development advocating 'man and nature be in one'. 'Eco' here means a process, a driving force, an action, a culture and a kind of vitality leading to sustainable development. It is a mechanism embodying the Olympic spirit of competition, cooperation and self-reliance. The paper explained the ecological significance, connotation and objectives of Beijing Green Olympic Game. Ten major ecological heritages of Beijing have been investigated including ecologically sound landscape, culture, transportation, physical exercise, health care, sanitation, food, family relationship, agriculture, and human ecological totality. To preserve or restore the above mentioned old tradition, a green Olympic action plan has been made out in Beijing initiated by NGOs, supported by entrepreneurs and coordinated by government agencies. Four kinds of eco-engineering have been planned for blue sky, clean water, green land and eco-city development. The demonstration role of Beijing Green Olympic Game to developing regions and countries is also discussed.

Analysis of clinical efficacy of different initial antimicrobial treatment in healthcare associated pneumonia patients in emergency department

Background Community acquired pneumonia （CAP） is one of the most common infectious disease in emergency *** 2005 the concept of healthcare associated pneumonia （HCAP） was proposed by the ATS/IDSA *** clinical features and microbiology of HCAP are different from CAP,however,the initial antimicrobial treatment is still *** aimed to compare the clinical efficacy between HCAP patients treated initially with HCAP guidelineconcordant antimicrobial agents and those with CAP guideline-concordant antimicrobial *** We conducted a retrospective observational study on HCAP patients who were admitted to emergency department between December 2011 and December *** were divided into 2 groups according to their different initial antimicrobial *** compared clinical features,distribution of pathogen,severity,days and spending on intravenous antimicrobial,length and charge of hospitalization and clinical outcomes,and meanwhile analyzed the clinical efficacy as *** Of the 125 HCAP patients,55 patients received CAP guideline-concordant antimicrobial agents and 70 received HCAP *** major pathogens were Klebsiella pneumoniae,methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus （MRSA）,Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coll The 2 groups were similar at baseline,including old age,comorbidities,Pneumonia Severity Index scores,APACHE scores,and length of intravenous antimicrobial use and hospitalization duration,and in-hospital *** efficacy rate occurred in 70.0％ of HCAP agent patients and 50.9％ of CAP agent patients （P=0.029）.Antimicrobial charge and total hospital charge for HCAP agent patients were significantly higher than that for CAP agent *** Initial treatment of HCAP patients in emergency department with HCAP guideline-concordant antimicrobial could increase clinical efficacy rate,as well as antimicrobial charge and total hospital charge,but was not associated with shortening the l

This study investigated childhood migraine, examining the clinical characteristics of different childhood migraine types, predisposing factors, and possible medical treatments in a sample of children in Serbia. This was the first epidemiological study in Serbia using the operational diagnostic criteria of the International Headache Society. The present study examined 30 636 children between 1988 and 2006, including 15 434 （50.38%） males and 15 202 （49.62%） females, in nine towns in Vojvodina, a northern province in Serbia. Migraine was reported in 2 644 （8.63%） children aged 3 to 7 years, consisting of 1 189 （8.0%） males and 1 455 （9.6%） females. Migraine with aura accounted for 25.55%, migraine without aura for 67.21% and other migraine syndromes for 7.23% of reported migraine sufferers. The mean age of first migraine attack across groups was 5 years and 1.8 months. Migraine with aura was associated with an earlier onset than migraine without aura Migraine was more frequent among younger groups of children who were breastfed for a shorter period of time. Child healthcare in Vojvodina has a high level of specialization, with more than half of the children reporting migraine diagnosed and treated by neuropediatricians. Socioeconomic status, duration of breastfeeding, birth order, and age of entering full-day nursery care were found to be important factors for childhood migraine. These findings suggest that healthcare providers should educate parents about these predisposing factors, so they can be identified and avoided early.

This paper presents a new low delay centralized cooperative spectrum sensing method based on dynamic voting rule using multiple threshold level,for indoor hospital environment,where fading and direct path loss both are together responsible for variation in signal *** the proposed algorithm,weights of Cognitive Radios(CRs)in terms of assigned votecount are estimated based on the sensed energy values with respect to multiple fixed threshold levels,so that the direct path loss can be dealt without further increasing the error,which occurs due to *** indoor hospital like environment,Rician fading model is more ***,formulation,evaluation and analysis of various sensing performance parameters have been carried out considering Rician fading *** analysis and tradeoff among three optimum parameters-energy threshold,total number of CRs participating in sensing and total error rate,are presented with respect to signal to noise ratio(SNR).Finally,the Monte Carlo simulation is designed and implemented considering the two conditions-only fading environment and fading along with direct path loss *** can be observed that in both cases,the proposed spectrum sensing rule outperforms the other contemporary rules.

Micro-Raman spectroscopy is employed to identify the normal and malignant human stomach cells. For the cancer cell, the reduced intensity of the Raman peak at 1250 cm^-1 indicates that the protein secondary structure transforms from β-sheet or disordered structures to α-helical, while the increased intensity of the symmetric PO2 stretching vibration mode at 1094 cm^-1 shows the increased DNA content. The ratio of the intensity at 1315 cm^-1 to that at 1340^-1 reduces from 1.8 for the normal cell to 1.1 for the cancer cell in the course of canceration, and the ratio of the intensity at 1655 cm^-1 to that at 1450cm^-1 increases from 1.00 for the cancer cell to 1.26 for the normal cell which indicates that the canceration of stomach cell may induce saturation of the lipid chain.
