1 Background As the basic principle of the world economy,environment,and social development,sustainable development is the focus of the international community *** the Olympic Agenda 2020 published by the International Olympic Committee(IOC),sustainable development was officially listed as one of the core concepts of the Olympic *** the beginning of the bid,the concept of ctathlete-centered,sustainable and economical”was proposed,which was highly consistent with the idea of the Olympic Agenda *** implement the concept of holding“green”Olympic Games and meet the sustainability requirements of the IOC,the Organizing Committee of Beijing Winter Olympic Games issued a series of documents related to the sustainability of sports venues such as Sustainability Policies for 2022 Beijing Winter Olympic Games and Winter Paralympic Games,and strived to realize the sustainable development of sports venues in the whole life cycle of planning and design stage,construction stage,operation stage,and post-game utilization.

Assessment of Effects of green construction by Analytic Hierarchy Process and Fuzzy Synthetic Judgment Method

The index system, code system, and weights of indexes are established to assess the effects of green construction. The index system consists of index level, factor level and sub-factor level. The analytic hierarchy process is used to determine the weights of indexes, and the consistency test indicate that the weight assignment is reasonable. Using fuzzy synthetic judgment method, the assessment model is built, which includes factor set, weight set and conclusion set. An example is given to demonstrate the assessment procedures.

Total road pavement in Guangzhou reaches 77×10~6m^*** huge maintenance and potential rehabilitation calls for a green road *** paper presents a discussion,first about green road construction technologies together with their applications and development like reclaimed asphalt pavement,rubberized asphalt pavement,and warm mix asphalt; and then,about the key obstacles for promotion and activities,primarily for green road promotion,in the perspectives of the current technical and application situations in China and separately in *** on environmental and conditional analysis,as well as a development expectation from an industrial viewpoint,this paper creates a development trend of green road technologies.

IMPACTS OF construction RISKS ON COSTS IN LEED-CERTIFIED PROJECTS

construction according to green principles rather than traditional methods poses a new set of risks to project *** risks should be appropriately identified and managed in order to prevent cost *** study aims to identify construction risks and their cost impacts in LEED-certified *** this purpose,thirteen risks were identified based on a literature survey and were categorized under four groups of issues:(i)consultant,contractor and subcon-tractor,(ii)material,product and process,(iii)legal,regulatory and contractual,and(iv)financial and economic.A survey was then administered to green build-ing design and construction practitioners in the *** assess the likelihood of occurrence of these risks and their respective impacts on project *** to the survey results,the risks associated with consultant,contractor and subcon-tractor issues have the highest expected impact on *** top five risk factors were determined as(1)contractors and subcontractors agreeing to standards that are not within their expertise and competence,(2)high cost of certification,(3)lack of expertise in new products/technologies,(4)doubts about the long-term viability and performance of new and untested products,materials and tech-nologies,and(5)inadequate definition of project parties’contractual roles and *** the cost impact of risks is of great value to owners and designers and *** the risks associated with LEED-certified projects and their cost impacts can be of benefit to all practitioners.
