Cu2O/Cu nanoparticles(NPs)in the nanoporous carbon matrix(designated as Cu2O/Cu@NPC)has been synthesized by in-situ calcination of a cupper-based metal-organic framework(Cu-MOF),and its morphology and composition were characterized by PXRD,SEM and ***,elemental mapping and XPS analysis not only show Cu NPs is generated along with nitrogen(N)-doped carbon,but also indicate Cu2O NPs locates in the external layer of Cu@*** addition,the adsorption of dye studies implies that Cu2O/Cu@NPC exhibits obvious interaction with Rhodamine B(Rh B)due to the feature of porous and N-doped ***2O/Cu@NPC has highly electrocatalytic performance for glucose and mercury(Ⅱ)with wide detection range and good stability,which can be used as a novel multifunctional sensor for glucose and mercury(Ⅱ).

Boron-doped diamond (BDD) thin films with different crystal grain sizes were prepared by controlling the reacting gas pressure using hot filament chemical vapor deposition (HFCVD).The morphologies and structures of the prepared diamond thin films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Raman *** electrochemical responses of K4Fe(CN)6 on different BDD electrodes were *** results suggested that electron transfer was faster at the boron-doped nanocrystalline diamond (BDND) thin film electrodes in comparison with that at other BDD thin film *** prepared BDD thin film electrodes without any modification were used to directly detect glucose in the basic *** results showed that the as-prepared BDD thin film electrodes exhibited good selectivity for detecting glucose in the presence of ascorbic acid (AA) and uric acid (UA).The higher sensitivity was observed on the BDND thin film grown on the boron-doped microcrystalline diamond (BDMD) thin film surface,and the linear response range,sensitivity and the low detection limit were 0.25–10 mM,189.1 μA mmol-1 cm-2 and 25 μM (S/N=3) for glucose in the presence of AA and UA,respectively.

Night lighting has been shown to affect wild *** date,the effects of night lighting on the metabolic homeostasis of birds that spend short time in urban environments remain *** model bird species Zebra Finch(Taeniopygia guttata),we investigated the effects of short-term night lighting on liver transcriptome,blood glucose,triglyceride,and thyroxine(T4 and T3)levels in birds exposed to two different night lighting duration periods(three days and six days).After three days of night lighting exposure,the expression of genes involved in fat synthesis in the liver was upregulated while the expression of genes involved in fatty acid oxidation and triglyceride decomposition was *** was also a reduction in blood triglyceride,glucose,and T3 ***,after six days of night lighting,the expression of genes associated with fatty acid decomposition and hyperglycemia in the liver was upregulated,while the expression of genes involved in fat synthesis was ***,blood glucose levels and T3 concentration *** findings indicate that short-term exposure to night lighting can disrupt the lipid and glucose metabolism of small passerine birds,and longer stopovers in urban area with intense night lighting may cause birds to consume more lipid energy.

Influence of glucose on corrosion of biomedical Mg-1.35Ca alloy was made using hydrogen evolution, pH and electrochemical polarization in isotonic saline solution. The corrosion morphologies, compositions and structures were probed by virtue of SEM, EDS, FTIR, XRD and XPS. Results indicate that the glucose accelerated the corrosion of the alloy. The elemental Ca has no visible effect on the corrosion mechanism of glucose for the Mg-1.35Ca alloy in comparison with pure Mg. In addition, the presence of CO2 has beneficial effect against corrosion due to the formation of a layer of carbonate- containing products.

Postprandial hyperglycemia is an early indication of type 2 diabetes and the target of many anti-diabetic and anti-obesity studies.α-Glucosidase and α-amylase are the crucial factors in regulating starch digestion and glucose absorption,making them key targets for many studies to treat postprandial *** studied the inhibitory activities of microalgal fucoxanthin against rat-intestinalα-glucosidase and pancreaticα-amylase along with the antidiabetic eff ect to induce diff erentiation in 3T3-L1 pre-adipocytes using Oil Red-O *** displayed strong hindrance activities towardα-amylase in a concentration-dependent manner,with an IC50 value of 0.68mmol/L,whereas weak inhibitory activity against α-glucosidase,with an IC 50 value of 4.75 mmol/*** also considerably elevated glucose oxidase activity in 3T3-L1 cells by 31.3%at 5μmol/*** adipocyte differentiation,fucoxanthin showed lipid accumulation in 3T3-L1 cells with no cytotoxicity up to 20μmol/***,fucoxanthin had no inhibitory activity on glucose-6-phosphate *** results suggest that fucoxanthin might be useful for the prevention of obesity or diabetes by inhibiting carbohydrate-hydrolyzing enzymes and lipid accumulation and be utilized as an ingredient for a functional food or dietary supplement.

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of quercetin,oleanolic acid,icariin and their compatibility on the apoptosisofhippocampalneuronsof Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats cultured with high glucose medium and the possible ***:The extracts were purchased from China Food and Drug Control Institute and *** was obtained from newborn 24 h SD *** culturing the hippocampus in different medium for 72 h,flow cytometry was used to detect the apoptosis of hippocampal neurons,and Western blot was utilized to test the expressions of p-p38,p38,p-c-Jun N-terminal kinase(JNK)and ***:Compared with the control group(CG),the neuronal apoptosis rate and the ratios of p-p38/p38 and p-JNK/JNK were significantly increased in the high glucose group(GG)(Pglucose,the quercetin,oleanolic acid and icariin can alleviate the apoptosis of hippocampus neurons,reduce the phosphorylation of p38 and JNK in p38 mitogen-activated protein kinases and JNK signaling *** the efficacy of the three drugs in combination with each other can be strengthened.

A three reagents adhesive system for wood particleboards not containing any aldehyde was developed by the reaction of glucose or sucrose with triacetin(glycerin triacetate)and with hexamethylene *** system was found to be based on the mix of three reactions,namely the reaction of(i)glucose with triacetin,(ii)of the diamine with triacetin,and(iii)of glucose with the *** chemical species formed were identified by Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization Time of Flight(MALDI-ToF)mass *** particleboard panels were prepared with this adhesive system and gave good internal bond(IB)strength results suitable for interior grade panels and with extremely low formaldehyde emission.

Fructose and glucose are often widely used in food processing and may contribute to many metabolic *** observe the effects of different doses of glucose and fructose on human metabolism and cellular communication,volunteers were given low,medium,and high doses of glucose and *** cytokines,glucose,lactate,nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NADH)and metabolic enzymes were assayed,and central carbon metabolic pathway networks and cytokine communication networks were *** results showed that the glucose and fructose groups basically maintained the trend of decreasing catabolism and increasing anabolism with increasing *** with glucose,low-dose fructose decreased catabolism and increased anabolism,significantly enhanced the expression of the inflammatory cytokine interferon-γ(IFN-γ),macrophage-derived chemokine(MDC),induced protein-10(IP-10),and eotaxin,and significantly reduced the activity of isocitrate dehydrogenase(ICDH)and pyruvate dehydrogenase complexes(PDHC).Both medium and high doses of fructose increase catabolism and anabolism,and there are more cytokines and enzymes with significant ***,multiple cytokines and enzymes show strong relevance to metabolic regulation by altering the transcription and expression of enzymes in central carbon metabolic ***,excessive intake of fructose should be reduced to avoid excessive inflammatory responses,allergic reactions and autoimmune diseases.
