Deglobalization and elevated inflation are important features of the current world *** the reversing of globalization affect the level and formation mechanism of inflation in the countries(or regions)?This paper selects 163 sample economies and constructs an index system in measurement of *** such basis,it integrates the index system into the hybrid Phillips curve under the condition of open economy to study the influence of globalization on inflation and the logical mechanism and to further evaluate the driving effect of deglobalization on global *** result shows a deflation effect of globalization,and the effect decreases first and then grow as the globalization level of a country(or region)*** further investigate the formation mechanism of inflation,the paper decomposes inflation into inflation trend and inflation *** far as inflation trend is concerned,trade globalization marked by participation in global value chain is the main driver of downward infation trend in developed economies,while globalization of information and finance is the primary driver of downward trend in emerging and developing *** to inflation cycle,trade globalization makes inflation cycle of the countries(or regions)more sensitive to price of international commodities and forms a linkage through trade *** the outbreak of the major public health emergency in 2020,the reversing of globalization drove up inflation of the countries(or regions),and those with higher participation in global value chain have higher level of inflation.

China’s Belt and Road Initiative(BRI)presents the world with a new era of inclusive globalization,which will shape urbanization patterns *** study considered the launch of BRI as a quasi-experiment,where we evaluated the BRI’s impact on urbanization by way of difference-in-differences(DID)and propensity score matching(PSM)*** results showed that the BRI exerted a significantly negative effect on urbanization in its first three *** positive effect emerged from the fifth year onwards,indicating that the BRI’s positive effect on urbanization required a period of practical *** analysis and placebo test were also conducted to verify the robustness of the *** effects in low-income countries were revealed to have been much greater than in high-income countries,meaning the BRI had been conducive to promote local urban growth in underdeveloped ***,the geographical detector model was introduced to discuss the influencing mechanism of urbanization in BRI and non-BRI countries,showing external factors were the prominent driving forces in BRI countries,whereas internal drivers played an important role in non-BRI *** findings indicated that the implementation of the BRI contributed to building global economic growth and supporting a shared future.

The environmental problem has become a worldwide issue that must be frequently ***, this study investigates the relation of tourism, natural resources, globalization, and foreign direct investment on the ecological footprint of the USA, the UK, Pakistan, China, and India by using annual data from 1995 to 2020. The study applied Zivot and Andrews(1992) test to demonstrate the stationarity properties of the series, and an autoregressive distributed lag(ARDL)approach was employed to estimate the long-run and short-run dynamics. The long-run findings disclose that tourism has a significantly positive effect on China and Pakistan, but a significantly negative impact on India. The outcomes further suggest that foreign direct investment increases environmental degradation in India and China in both long and short periods, but contributes to improving the UK's ecosystem. Besides, globalization in China tends to save its *** resources in the long run also harm the ecosystems of Pakistan, China, and the USA. The error correction term is negatively significant for all countries. The reliability of the model is investigated through diagnostic tests. The selected model is stable as the critical value of CUSUM and CUSUMSQ lie within the 5% significance level.

globalization, which is characterized by the escalating mobility of capital, people, ideas and information on a universal scale, has become a sweeping theme in the contemporary world. Tourism and its associated economic activities are evidently not immune to such a wider context of the world economy. In the past one or two decades, a stable increase has been witnessed in international tourist flows, inter-regional and inter-organizational alliances, and foreign direct investment. These trends are especially prevalent in the developing world, largely because of their pristine nature, di- verse culture, inexpensive goods and services, cheap labours, and other resources. However, it has been cautioned by some scholars, especially those from the Third World countries, that tourism is an industry run by and for the rich, more powerful nations and their corresponding multinational corporations. This article, from the perspective of political economy, supplemented with views from development studies, made a normative analysis on the impacts of the glob- alization of tourism on the Third World destination countries. Specifically, these impacts have been detailed in terms of economic, sociocultural, and ecological domains. It was demonstrated that without appropriate planning and manage- ment, the costs of Third World tourism development may accrue to the extent that its benefits are burned out. To avoid this happening, some suggestions have been made.

By using interview data from three large state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in agriculture related industries, this paper reveals that SOEs in inland area are much slow in response to globalization. Although they pursued some strategies to adjust themselves, they are far behind the position to utilize the opportunities generated by economic globalization. Most of them are still out of the networks of transnational corporations. The strategies they adopted are quite different from SOEs in the coastal area. They overlook the importance of information infrastructure, well-educated personnel, and collaboration with the competitive leaders in their industries. The lagging situation is related to isolated location, traditional culture, and slow progress in enterprise reform. International comparison shows that the case companies did follow the general patterns that globalization promotes extension of company′s networks of linkages but in a rather slow phase. The decision makers should encourage intra-regional linkages between SOEs, between SOEs and private, foreign owned companies, as well as inter-regional linkages among them. The latter appears particularly important given the enlarging gaps between coastal and inland areas.
