geometric constraints based 3D reconstruction method of tomographic SAR for buildings

The mainstream methods of tomographic synthetic aperture radar(tomoSAR) 3D reconstruction are usually realized by processing the registered 2D SAR images pixel by pixel without considering the geometric structure of the observed targets. As a class of targets with regular facades, tomo SAR 3D reconstruction of buildings is of important application value nowadays. In this study, to optimize the tomo SAR3D reconstruction results of buildings, we first introduce and analyze the tomo SAR 3D reconstruction theory based on a back projection imaging algorithm and then present a tomo SAR 3D reconstruction method based on geometric constraints. We can accurately extract the building’s facade as the geometric constraints by processing and fusing the point density map and the height map extracted from the spatial distribution of the tomo SAR 3D point cloud. Taking the extracted geometric structure of the building’s facade and signal to noise ratio(SNR) of registered 2D SAR images as prior information, we then impose geometric constraints on tomo SAR sparse 3D reconstruction with an adaptive iterative shrinkage-thresholding algorithm and achieve an optimized tomo SAR 3D reconstruction result. Finally, measured data of a P-band airborne tomo SAR system is used. 3D reconstruction results show that the proposed method outperforms the traditional methods without geometric constraints regarding 3D reconstruction performance, which proves the validity and practicality of our proposed method.

Dense matching of remote sensing images is a key step in the generation of accurate digital surface *** semi-global matching algorithm comprehensively considers the advantages and disadvantages of local matching and global matching in terms of matching effect and computational efficiency,so it is widely used in close-range,aerial and satellite image *** on the analysis of the original semi-global matching algorithm,this paper proposes a semi-global high-resolution remote sensing image that takes into account the geometric constraints of the connection points and the image texture information based on a large amount of high-resolution remote sensing image data and the characteristics of clear image texture.123123The method includes 4 parts:①Precise *** at the system error in the image orientation model,the system error of the rational function model is compensated by the geometric constraint relationship of the connecting points between the images,and the sub-pixel positioning accuracy is obtained;②Epipolar image *** the original image is divided into blocks,the epipolar image is generated based on the projection trajectory method;③Image dense *** order to reduce the size of the cost space and calculation time,the image is pyramided and then semi-globally matched layer by *** the matching process,the disparity map expansion and erosion algorithm that takes into account the image texture information is introduced to restrict the disparity search range and better retain the edge characteristics of the ground objects;④Generate *** order to test the matching effect,the weighted median filter algorithm is used to filter the disparity map,and the DSM is obtained based on the principle of forward ***,the paper uses the matching results of WordView3 and Ziyuan No.3 stereo image to verify the effectiveness of this method.

Photographic composite detection using circles

In this work, we propose several new methods for detecting photographic composites using circles. In particular, we focus on three kinds of scenes：（1） two coplanar circles with the same radius; （2） a single circle with its discriminable center; （3） a single circle with geometric constraints for camera calibration. For two circles＇ situation, we first estimate the focal length based on the equality of the sizes of two coplanar circles, and then estimate the normal vector of the world circle plane. Inconsistencies in the angles among the normal vectors （Each circle determines a normal vector） are used as evidence of tampering. On the other hand, for the single circle case, we warp the circle to make metric measurement. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach, we present results for synthetic and visually plausible composite images.

Improved quadric surfaces recognition from scanned mechanical models

This paper presents a novel algorithm for identifying quadric surfaces from scanned mechanical models. We make several important improvements over the existing variational 3D shape segmentation framework, which utilizes Lloyd＇s iteration. First, instead of using randomized initialization （which likely falls into non-optimal minimum）, the RANSAC-based initialization approach is adopted. Given a good initialization, our method converges quickly than previous approaches. Second, in order to enhance the stability and the robustness, we carefully modify the distortion-minimizing flooding algorithm by using seed regions instead of seed triangles. Third, the geometric constraints are introduced into the optimization framework. The segmentation quality is further improved. We validate the efficiency and the robustness of our proposed method on various datasets, and demonstrate that our method outperforms state-of-art approaches.
