Food waste generation is a pressing issue that requires urgent attention and concerted efforts *** staggering amount of food wasted each year not only wastes valuable resources but also exacerbates environmental,economic,and social *** Waste Management(FWM)consists of a complex array of criteria and sub-criteria,and treatments which seems *** is a need to evaluate the FWM with the help of important criteria and sub-criteria and treatments to address this *** this study,we identified four important criteria,21 sub-criteria,and four alternatives of FWM for the case of Malaysia using the integrated approach of literature review and expert ***,we employed the approach of Modified fuzzy Improved Analytical Hierarchy Process(IAHP)to corroborate the interrelationships among the identified criteria and sub-criteria,and their associated *** study undertakes linear normalization methods to transform data into comparable numerical values and the Geometric Mean method to handle uncertainty in human ***,the Centroid method is employed to convert fuzzy weights into crisp sets for ease of *** results indicate that environmental is the most essential criterion,followed by social,economic,and *** addition,air and water pollution is identified as the most critical *** Soldier Fly is discovered as the most sustainable FWM treatment,since it performs the best while meeting all the criteria and sub-criteria *** analysis demonstrates that the outputs from the proposed method are robust and *** finding suggests a proper and robust approach to help decision-makers select suitable FWM treatments to tackle various criteria and alternatives especially when handling inconsistent and uncertain judgments during evaluation.

A relative significance factor of an impact category is the external weight of the impact category and plays an important role in life cycle assessment（LCA）.Many multiattribute decision-making （MADM） methods such as analytical hierarchy process（AHP）,the rank-order centroid method and the fuzzy method are proposed to determine the relative significance factor of an impact ***,in previous research,it is shown that,the AHP approach is difficult for experts rendering consistent judgment when the number of pairwise comparisons increases,the rank-order method has some insurmountable shortcomings,the key issue to use fuzzy set theory is its *** order to address this problem,a new simple and efficient method is proposed to determine relative significance factor in a more efficient *** example to determine relative significance factor of impact categories is shown to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

In the emerging area of sensor-based systems, a significant challenge is to develop reliable, energy efficient methods to extract useful information from the distributed sensory data. Existing top-k query algorithms of sensor networks are only applicable to the sensor networks with single Microenvironment(ME). Besides, these approaches rely on using raw sensor readings, which handling these raw sensory data requires large amount of data transmission and is memory-consuming. In this paper we highlight the multiple MEs in sensor networks and propose a novel event-driven approximate top-k query framework based on fuzzy method. Firstly, membership function of fuzzy method is introduced to describe the global potential event confidence. Subsequently, non-uniform membership degree subranges based linguistic variables instead of numeric sensor readings are used for in-network top-k event fusion. Also two distributed event-driven approximate top-k query algorithms are devised. Theoretical analysis as well as extensive simulations based on synthetic and real data sets show that our framework reduces the data transmission significantly and the query results are more interpretable with quality guarantees.

The plunger component is a key part of the plunger pump in the aircraft hydraulic ***-spinning process is commonly used to fabricate plunger components,of which the quality of the spinning process significantly affects the performance of plunger *** of the bottlenecks faced by the industry in the spinning process is to choose a suitable neck-spinning process so as to ensure the quality of plunger *** is necessary to propose a reliable method to optimize the process parameters which affect the neck-spinning quality of plunger *** this study,a calculable finite element analysis(FEA)model is established to simulate the threeroller neck-spinning process of the plunger component,which includes six typical slipper structures,two roller structures,and two spinning *** FEA model is then validated by comparing the simulated spinning forces with the corresponding experimental *** influence of the process conditions on the neck-spinning quality is *** the orthogonal simulation results are analyzed by a combination of range method and fuzzy mathematical analysis method to recommend a reasonable slipper structure,roller structure and neck-spinning *** study provides a promising method to improve the manufacturing quality of the typical plunger components.

Community resilience is becoming a growing concern for authorities and decision *** paper introduces two indicator-based methods to evaluate the resilience of communities based on the PEOPLES *** is a multi-layered framework that defines community resilience using seven *** of the dimensions is described through a set of resilience indicators collected from literature and they are linked to a measure allowing the analytical computation of the indicator’s *** first method proposed in this paper requires data on previous disasters as an input and returns as output a performance function for each indicator and a performance function for the whole *** second method exploits a knowledge-based fuzzy modeling for its *** method allows a quantitative evaluation of the PEOPLES indicators using descriptive knowledge rather than deterministic data including the uncertainty involved in the *** output of the fuzzy-based method is a resilience index for each indicator as well as a resilience index for the *** paper also introduces an open source online tool in which the first method is implemented.A case study illustrating the application of the first method and the usage of the tool is also provided in the paper.

This paper is on the suggestion of maintenance items for electric railway facility *** the recent increase in the use of electric locomotives,the utilization and importance of railroad electrical facility systems are also increasing,but the railroad electrical facility system in Korea is rapidly *** solve this problem,various methodologies are applied to ensure operational reliability and stability for railroad electrical facility systems,but there is a lack of detailed evaluation criteria for railroad electrical facility system ***,maintenance items must be selected in a scientific and systematic ***,railroad electrical facility systems are selected for *** StructureMatrix(DSM)is utilized to establish considerations tailored to the maintenance characteristics,and the fuzzy-TOPSIS methodology is utilized for determining the maintenance detail evaluation item baseline weights,a multi-criteria decision-making *** show that degradation,insulation items have the highest weight of 14.63%,and capacity items have the lowest weight of 5.34%.The results of this may be contributed to the underlying research in carrying out maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and safety of railroad electrical facility systems.

A Three-Scale fuzzy Analytical Hierarchy Process (T-FAHP) is proposed by introducing the Three-Scale Analytical Hierarchy Process (T-AHP) and the trapezoid fuzzy number. A multi-objective optimization model based on the T-FAHP is presented subsequently, in which many factors influencing the lectotype of offshore platform are taken into account synthetically, such as the original investment, the maintenance, cost, the ability of resisting fatigue and corrosion, the construction period, the threat to the environment, and so on. With this method, the experts can give the relatively precise ranking weight of each index and at the same time the requirement of consistence checking can be met, The result of a calculation example shows that the T-FAHP is practical.
