In digital furniture design, skillful designers usually use professional software to create new furniture designs with various textures and then take advantage of rendering tools to produce eye-catching design results. Generally, a fine-grained furniture model holds many geometric details, inducing significant time cost to model rendering and large data size for storage that are not desired in application scenarios where efficiency is greatly emphasized. To accelerate the rendering process while keeping good rendering results as many as possible, we develop a novel decimation technique which not only reduces the number of faces on furniture models, but also retains their geometric and texture features. Two metrics are utilized in our approach to measure the distortion of texture features. Considering these two metrics as guidance for decimation, high texture distortion can be avoided in simplifying the geometric models. Therefore, we are able to build multi-level representations with different detail levels based on the initial design. Our experimental results show that the developed technique can achieve excellent visual effects on the decimated furniture model.

In the current furniture production line, the level of automation in the stage of loading and unloading is not high enough.In order to improve its automation, a novel integer programming based method for automatically segmenting board is proposed and a multi-sensor configuration is given.In such a configuration, we include multiple cameras and Lidar sensors.The cameras attached on each board are used to collect quick response(QR) code information, while Lidar sensors can obtain each board's contours information.We then formulate each board's segmentation as the integer programming problem.The experimental results show that our method can achieve a very high segmentation accuracy of 95% on average.

The properties of SiC kiln furniture bonded with fine silicon powderare related to the bonder’s crystal structure. At high temperature, it will crystallize ina-cristobalite with great bulk effect. MnO2 mineralizer can make a-cristobalite convertto a-tridymite whose bulk effect is small. The crystal structure and its amount were investigated with XRD technique. The influence of different amounts of MnO2 on thecrystal structure and polycrystal transformation, and that of crystal structure on theproperties of kiln furniture were studied. The best proportion of MnO2 added was determined to be 2.0%.

This article concerns the sources of non-ionizing radiation in a normal inhabited environment. Measurements show that residents are exposed to non-ionizing radiation in levels both below and above the European normative. Excess is present due to the fact that, producers of electronic equipment and appliances, those who use them, as well as those involved in the construction of housing, have insufficient acquaintance with non-ionizing radiation. Producers are advised to increase the coefficient of safety towards non-ionizing radiation by renewing technology. Users are advised to operate apparatus with the lowest possible power, to minimise time exposed to sources, to maximise the distance from them and to renew their appliances. Construction workers should take non-ionizing radiation more into consideration when furnishing of houses.

It analyzes in detail the applied technology and keytechniques, including geometric modeling, assembly, joint design, database linking and management. The application of WFCAD in furniture manufacturing enterprises and its further improvement are outlined.

Based on the sub-health status of Chinese white-collar citizen, this article expounds the physical condition of employees in enterprise and public institutions, and the conclusion of demand for fi tness furniture design was drawn. This article analyzes the design principle of the fi tness furniture, which focuses on relieving the fatigue of white-collars and rethinks about the fi tness furniture design. By demonstrating the design with related researches, the furniture which can allow people to exercise during their work time and leisure time was designed as design verifi cation, a new way for the market-oriented fi tness furniture design was developed.
