Cyber attacks are emerging threats in the Internet of Things applications,and power systems are typical cyber attack *** one of the most essential operation functions,frequency control is threatened by cyber intrusions,and the existing centralized control mode cannot effectively address cyber *** this study,a new distributed cyber-attack-tolerant frequency control scheme is *** distributed control mode also serves as a convenient tool for attack *** designed cyber-attack-tolerant frequency controller adopts the idea of passive fault attenuation,thus simplifying the design *** the aid of graph theory and consensus techniques,distributed integral based and model predictive control(MPC)based controllers are *** with the integral type,the MPC-based controller can simultaneously improve the dynamic responses and the tolerance ability under *** proposed controller is validated via an IEEE benchmark system,and the effectiveness of its application in actual power systems is verified.

In order to suppress the fast decrease of the transfer efficiency of magnetic resonance coupled wireless power transfer system(MRCWPTS) with distance increase,this paper investigates the impact factors of the system transfer efficiency and is,then formulates a new efficiency optimal control method based on frequency *** upon this control method two optimal control schemes are designed to achieve transfer efficiency control of the *** and experiments show that the proposed efficiency optimal control method can effectively stabilize the system transfer efficiency in a certain range so as to successfully solve the subtle issue of transfer efficiency variation with distance.

Over the last few years, lots of attentions have been given to the demand response(DR) for the frequency control. DR can be incorporated with traditional frequency control method and enhance the stability of the system. In this paper, the frequency control strategy of DR for a multiarea power system is specially designed. In order to quickly stabilize the frequency of different areas, the tie-line power is adopted as the additional input signal of DR. To get the optimal parameters of the control system, the frequency control problem is formulated as a multi-objective optimization problem, and the parameters such as the integral gains of secondary frequency control, the frequency bias parameters, and coefficients of DR are optimized. Numerical results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

The expected penetration of renewable sources is driving the islanded microgrid towards uncertainties,which have highly influence the reliability and complexities of frequency *** alleviate the influence caused by load fluctuations and inherent variability of renewable sources,this article proposes an optimised robust proportional-integralderivation(PID)frequency control method by taking full advantage of a robust control strategy while simultaneously maintaining the basic characteristics of a PID *** the process of iterated optimisation,a weighted objective function is used to balance the tracking error performance,robust stability and disturbance attenuation ***,the robust PID frequency(RPIDF)controller is determined by an adaptive constrained population extremal optimisation algorithm based on self-adaptive penalty constraint-handling *** proposed control method is examined on a typical islanded microgrid,and the control performance is evaluated under various disturbances and parametric ***,the simulation results indicate that the fitness value of the proposed method is 1.7872,which is lower than 2.9585 and 3.0887 obtained by two other evolutionary algorithms-based RPIDF ***,the comprehensive simulation results fully demonstrate that the proposed method is superior to other comparison methods in terms of four performance indices on the most considered scenarios.

Traditional thermal power units are continuously replaced by renewable energies,of which fluctuations and intermittence impose pressure on the frequency stability of the power *** aluminum load(EAL)accounts for large amount of the local electric loads in some *** participation of EAL in local frequency control has huge application ***,the controller design of EAL is difficult due to the measurement noise of the system frequency and the nonlinear dynamics of the EAL’s electric power *** on this problem,this paper proposes a control strategy for EAL to participate in the frequency *** the controller design of the EAL system,the system frequency response model is established and the EAL transfer function model is developed based on the equivalent circuit of *** the problem of load-side frequency measurement error,the frequency estimation method based on Kalman-filtering is *** improve the performance of EAL in the frequency control,a fuzzy EAL controller is *** testing examples show that the designed Kalman-filter has good performance in de-noising the measured frequency,and the designed fuzzy controller has better performance in stabilizing system frequency than traditional methods.

In this paper, a frequency control method is introduced for wind-diesel hybrid system by using a sliding mode controller and a Super-Capacitor energy storage system to reduce frequency deviations. By means of the proposed method, output power control of WTG system considering the conditions of power utilities and maximizing energy capture are achieved. The proposed method is compared with the conventional method of diesel speed control strategy, the simulation results show that proposed method is effective to reduce the frequency deviation of isolated power system.

Fractional order control theories have attracted increasing attentions recently due to their better control performance than traditional integer-order controllers,but there are few research works concerning their applications of power systems and power *** paper presents a novel binary-coded extremal optimization（BCEO） based fractional-order frequency control method for an islanded *** basic idea behind the proposed method is using an optimal fractional-order PID（FOPID） controller optimized by a simple but efficiency BCEO algorithm for the frequency control of an islanded *** superiority of the proposed BCEO-FOPID method to other reported binary-coded genetic algorithm based FOPID/PID,particle swarm optimization based fuzzy FOPID and BCEO based PID algorithms is demonstrated by the simulation results on a typical islanded microgrid.

Multi-objective optimization for voltage and frequency control of smart grids based on controllable loads

For single area power system, a variable structure load frequency controller based on constant reaching law is proposed. Firstly, the original system is converted into standard type through the elementary transformation matrix, and the switching surface is designed based on the standard type, at the same time, the switching function is selected properly by using the pole assignment method which assure the sliding mode is stable. Secondly, the sliding mode controller is designed by using the constant reaching law, which can assure the hitting condition is satisfied. Finally, the power system model is used by simulation considering the ideal working condition and with generation rate constraint. The simulation results illustrate the effectiveness and robust of the designed controller.
