Genesis of Rare Element Mineralized Granites in Southern China:Evidence from Melt and fluid inclusions

Rare element mineralized granites of me Yanshan period in Southern China are characterized by high contents of SiO2,Na2o,K2O,and F and are enriched in Nb,Ta,REE,W,Sn,Be and Li .Opinions differed over whether they are of metasomatk or magmatic origin .In this paper ,we present results of a study on melt and fluid inclusions in topaz-albite feldspar granite from Limo Nb-Ta-W-Sn granite and 414 Ta-Li albhe granite .Our data, which come from 15 mineralized granites, provide strong support magmatic origin .Mett inclusions are recognized in both topaz and quartz, and are associated with primary gas-rich *** of a Nb (Ta) -bearing mineral and cassiterite are also commonly present as inclusions in the topaz .Multiphase (mett+fluid) inclusions are observed in some quartz from granites and granite-related pegmatite .Mett inclusions start to mett at a temperature of approximately 540 ℃ in topaz and 650 ℃ in quartz .Final homogenization temperature is 700-900 ℃ in quartz ,700-800℃ in topaz and 440-550 ℃ for primary gas-rich inclusions coexisting with mett inclusions in topaz .The fluid inclusion data show that there was a continuous evobtion of the fluid from Nb-Ta granites and pegmatites to W-Sh hydrothermal vein. The coexistence of mett .vapour-rich fluid inclusions, and rare element crystaffites in topaz and quartz indicates that these minerals crystallized from a vapour-saturated mett enriched in Na.K,F and rare elements (Li,Be,Nb,Ta) .The evidence from fluid inclusion study shows that the possible genesis of the rare dement mineralization inLi-F granites of Yanshan period in Southern China results from magmatic differentiation .

The Sanshandao gold deposit,located at northwestern edge of the Jiaodong Peninsula,eastern North China Craton, is one of the largest gold deposits in the Jiaodong gold *** the deposit,disseminated-and stockwork-style ores are hosted in Mesozoic *** and alteration are largely controlled by the regional Sanshandao-Cangshang *** separated from alteration rocks in the mineralized zone yields an Rb-Sr isochron age of 117.6±3.0 *** ore-forming fluids in the Sanshandao gold deposit contain COHO-NaCl±CH with low to intermediate temperatures and low *** analysis shows that homogenization temperatures gradually decrease from the early mineralizing stage(258-416℃)to main mineralizing stage(180-321℃)and to late mineralizing stage(112-231℃).Homogenization temperatures from the same mineralizing stage are nearly same and do not show an increase with *** nature of the ore-forming fluids remains nearly the same over a 2000 m vertical depth interval.

Methane（CH4） is a critical but overlooked component in the study of the deep carbon *** CH4produced by serpentinization of ultramafic rocks has received extensive attention,but its formation and flux in mafic rocks during subduction remain poorly ***,we report massive CH4-rich fluid inclusions in well-zoned garnet from eclogites in Western Tianshan,*** characteristics and carbon-hydrogen isotopic compositions confirm the abiotic origin of this *** P-T-fO2-fluid trajectories and Deep Earth Water modeling imply that massive abiotic CH4was generated during cold subduction at depths of 50-120 km,whereas CO2was produced during *** massive production of abiotic CH4in eclogites may result from multiple mechanisms during prograde high pressure-ultrahigh pressure *** flux calculation proposes that abiotic CH4that has been formed in HP-UHP eclogites in cold sub duction zones may represent one of the largest,yet overlooked,sources of abiotic CH4on Earth.

Study on fluid inclusions of Qiangsheng gold deposit in Fushun of Liaoning

The Qiangsheng gold deposit belongs to quartz vein type. The fluid inclusions consist of four types： aqueous single-phase inclusions, aqueous two-phase inclusions, carbonated two-phase inclusions and carbona- ted three-phase inclusions. The fluid inclusions are characterized by low salinity （5%-9% NaCl eqv） , low density （0.66-0.72 g/cm^3 ） and medium temperature （210℃-250℃）. The pressure of ore-forming is 60-95 MPa and the metallogenic depth is about 5.49-7.56 km. During the mineralizing process, ore-forming fluid under- went fluid unmixing in CO2-H2O-NaCl system. The stable isotope resuhs indicate that the ore-forming fluids mainly generated from mantle, with the participation of a small amount of atmospheric water. Comprehensive studies have suggested that Qiangsheng gold deposit belongs to the type of mesothermal hydrotherm with mantlederived fluid participating in mineralization.

Maoniuping rare earth element (REE) deposit, located in Mianning area of Sichuan Province, is of unique geological characteristics and is large in scale. Some studies have shown that there are large amounts of multiphase fluid inclusions in fluorite, quartz and calcite. Besides the daughter minerals of halite, barite and gypsum, Sr-bearing minerals (celestite, strontianite) , apatite and eight light rare earth element (LREE) minerals have been found by scanning electron microscope/energy dispersive spectrometer techniques. The abundant occurrence of these daughter minerals shows that the ore-forming fluid is rich in Sr, Ba and LREE contents, and is related to nordmarkite in genesis.

Paleo-pressure reconstruction in sedimentary basins is one of the most important aspects of hydrocarbon accumulation *** view of the advantages and disadvantages of the current methods for paleo-pressure research,a new method to reconstruct the paleo-pressure is presented in this *** to the geological background,quantitative analyses of the factors that might control overpressure were first conducted to clarify the contributions of each mechanism during different geological *** evolution was reconstructed by fluid-compaction modelling with constraints imposed by the paleo-pressures obtained from fluid inclusions or differential stress *** the mechanisms responsible for overpressures during geological history is the basic prerequisite for paleo-pressure ***,quantitative studies were conducted of the contributions of disequilibrium compaction,gas charging,oil cracking,temperature reduction,and tectonic uplift and subsidence to *** case studies of paleo-pressure reconstruction were performed for the Sinian strata in the Sichuan Basin,Ordovician strata in the north uplift in the Tarim Basin and the Permian strata in the Sulige Gas Field in the Ordos Basin,where these three study sites are normally pressured,weakly over-pressured and abnormally low pressured at present,*** new method developed in this paper is very important for the practical reconstruction of the paleopressure in marine strata and ancient strata in deep basins.

Apatite is a characteristic mineral for the iron deposits in the Ningwu region. Apatite shows a range of d13CPDB values from à9.6& to à0.6&,and most of them with the d13CPDB values distributed in a range of mantle carbon (i.e.,à2& to à9&),except for samples T-06-1 and J-06-3. Apatites in the Ningwu porphyry iron deposits yield a narrow variation range of 87Sr/86Sr values from 0.706326 to 0.707577,similar to those of the volcanic and subvolcanic rocks and higher than that of a typical mantle-derived magmatic apatite (i.e.,about 0.7040),indicating that formation of the apatites was involved with crust material contamination. d13CPDB and 87Sr/86Sr values of the apatite indicate a possible contribution of mantle-derived fluid and material to formation of the Ningwu porphyry iron deposits,supported by regional geology,regional gravities and geochemistry of the volcanic and subvolcanic rocks in the Ningwu region.
