fluid inclusion Analysis for Constraining the Hydrocarbon Accumulation Periods of the Permian Reservoirs in Northeast Ordos Basin

Geochronology of hydrocarbon accumulation and reconstruction is an important and challenging subject of petroleum geology in multi-cycle superimposed basin. By fluid inclusion （FI） analysis combined with the apatite fission track （AFT） modeling thermal path of the FI host rock, a case study of constraining the hydrocarbon accumulation and reconstruction periods of the Permian reservoirs in Northeast Ordos Basin （OB） has been conducted. The FI homogenization temperatures of the oil-gas-bearing sandstone core-samples from the Lower to Upper Permian reservoirs statistically present two groups with a low and a high temperature peaks in ranges of 90-78 and 125-118 ℃, re- spectively, corresponding to 2-stage primary hydrocarbon accumulations of the Early-Middle Mesozoic. Besides, there exists another group with a medium-high peak temperature of 98 ℃ in the Upper Per- mian reservoirs, corresponding to the hydrocarbon reconstruction and destruction of the Late Meso- zoic to Cenozoic. According to the projected ages of the FI peak temperatures on the AFT thermal path of the FI host rocks, it is further induced that there experienced 3-stage hydrocarbon accumulations in the Permian reservoirs during the Mesozoic to Cenozoic. These are：（1） all the various primary hydro- carbon Permian reservoirs together developed 2-stage accumulations of 162-153 and 140-128 Ma in agreement with the multi-cycle subsidence burial heating process of the basin; （2） the Upper Per- mian reservoirs further experienced 1-stage secondary hydrocarbon accumulation and re- construction at ca. 30 Ma in coincidence with a critical tectonic conversion of the slow to rapid uplifting process from the Late Cretaceous to Neogene.

The Piaotang deposit is one of the largest vein-type W-polymetallic deposits in southern Jiangxi Province,South *** coexistence of wolframite and cassiterite is an important feature of the *** on detailed petrographic observations,microthermometry of fluid inclusions in wolframite,cassiterite and intergrown quartz was *** inclusions in wolframite were observed by infrared microscope,while those in cassiterite and quartz were observed in visible *** fluid inclusions in wolframite can be divided into two types:aqueous inclusions with a large vapor-phase proportion and aqueous inclusions with a small vapor-phase *** homogenization temperature(Th)of inclusions in wolframite with large vapor-phase ratios ranged from 280℃ to 390℃,with salinity ranging from 3.1 to 7.2 wt%NaCl *** contrast,the Th values of inclusions with small vapor-phase ratios ranged from 216℃ to 264℃,with salinity values ranging from 3.5 to 9.3 wt%NaCl eq.T_(h) values of primary inclusions in cassiterite ranged from 316℃ to 380℃,with salinity ranging from 5.4 to 9.3 wt%NaCl eq.T_(h) values for primary fluid inclusions in quartz ranged from 162℃ to 309℃,with salinity values ranging from 1.2 to 6.7 wt%NaCl *** results show that the formation conditions of wolframite,cassiterite and intergrown quartz are not *** evolutionary processes of fluids related to these three kinds of minerals are also significantly *** quartz cannot provide the depositional conditions of wolframite and *** fluids related to tungsten mineralization for the NaCl-H_(2)O system had a medium-to-high temperature and low salinity,while the fluids related to tin mineralization for the NaCl-H_(2)O system had a high temperature and medium-to-low *** results of this study suggest that fluid cooling is the main mechanism for the precipitation of tungsten and tin.

Physicochemical parameters of mineralization such as temperature, pressure, salinity, density, composition and boiling of ore fluids as well as pH, Eh, fo2 and reducing parameter in theprocess of mineralization of major ore deposits in the study district have been obtained by the authors through systematic observation and determination of characteristics and phase changes of fluid inclusions at different temperatures and analysis of gaseous and liquid phase compositions of the inclusions, thus providing a scientific basis for the division of mineralization-alteration stages, types of mineral deposits and minerogenetic series and the deepening of the knowledge about the ore-forming processes and mechanisms of mineral deposits. It is indicated that the deposits of the same type have similar fluid inclusion geochemical features and physicochemical parameters though they belong to different minerogenetic series, while the compositions of inclusions are not conditioned by deposit types but closely related to the minerogenetic series of deposits.

The Khur metallogenic district is located in a volcanic-plutonic belt in the central Lut Block(central eastern Iran). Mineralization occurs in Middle Eocene andesitic tuff and along four main vein systems trending northwest-southeast(Shurk, Mir-e-Khash, Shikasteh Sabz and Ghar-e-Kaftar veins).Microscopic studies reveal that the veins contain bornite, chalcocite, pyrite, tennantite together with minor sphalerite and chalcopyrite as hypogene minerals and chalcocite, digenite, covellite, valleriite,malachite, azurite, atacamite, hematite, and goethite as supergene minerals. The ore bodies are accompanied by narrow but intensely developed wall rock alterations of argillization, carbonatization and silicification. Copper content reaches 6.5, 2.4, 4.2 and 5% in Mir-e-Khash, Shikasteh Sabz, Ghar-eKaftar and Shurk, respectively. Microthermometric measurements of quartz-and calcite-hosted fluid inclusions indicate that the mineralization might be derived from a moderately saline hydrothermal fluid at temperatures between 175-316℃. Calculated δO values of water in equilibrium with quartz and calcite for Khur veins suggest that the fluid might have had a magmatic source, but theO-depletion was developed through mixing with meteoric water. Copper deposition in Khur veins is believed to have been largely caused by mixing, although wall rock reactions may also have occurred. The Khur veins are classified as volcanic-subvolcanic hydrothermal-related vein deposits.

The Erdaogou gold deposit is located in the conjuncture of North China Carton and Xingmeng orogenic *** ore-forming process of Erdaogou gold deposit is divided into three stages(ⅠtoⅢ),which are quartz-pyrite stage(stage I),quartz-polymetallic sulfide stage(stage II)and quartz-calcite stage(stage III).Two types of fluid inclusions is distinguished in the ore-forming stage,i.e.,aqueous type(W-type)and aqueous-carbonic type(C-type)*** the stageⅠtoⅢ,the homogenization temperature of fluid inclusions are respectively 334-395,214-364 and 172-272℃,with salinities of 7.72 wt.%-11.23 wt.%NaCl equiv.,0.20 wt.%-23.18 wt.%NaCl equiv.,and 0.35 wt.%to 5.25 wt.%NaCl *** ore-forming fluids of the Erdaogou deposit have the characteristics of medium-low temperatures,moderate salinities and low *** the fluids belong to the CO,-H2O-NaCl *** values ofδ34SV-CDT in sulphide samples at different stages(stages I to III)are between-2.2‰ to 2.3‰,indicating sulfur source from magma volatiles or subvolcanic rock *** lead isotopes suggest that ore-forming metals may be derived from a mixture of lower crust and mantle *** and hydrogen isotope data at Erdaogou indicate that magmatic fluid and meteoric water may both be involved in the hydrothermal *** on the geological characteris-tics,fluid inclusion results,stable and radiogenic isotope results of Erdaogou gold deposit,we believe that the temperature decrease,fluid boiling are the key factors leading to the ore precipitation and the genetic type of Erdaogou gold deposit is low-sulfidation epithermal deposit.

Recently,volcanic gas reservoirs in Yaoyingtai （腰英台） and Daerhan （达尔罕） tectonic belts in Changling （长岭） faulted depression of southeastern Songliao （松辽） basin have been *** on the compositions and isotopic values,the natural gas is characterized by high content of methane,low content of C2＋,and C1/C1-5 beyond ***,the natural gas contains nonhydrocarbons including carbon dioxide with the content from 20% to 40% and minor amount of *** with the isotopic values,the natural gas is generated by humic kerogen and coal-derived type,but in Daerhan,the natural gas is probably mixed by oil type *** the measurement of lithology and fluid inclusions in volcanic rocks,the bitumen,liquid hydrocarbon,and gas hydrocarbon inclusions are *** the analysis of the single gas inclusion in volcanic reservoir,the content of carbon dioxide is low,so the carbon dioxide and hydrocarbon gas of the reservoirs are not accumulated at the same *** addition,minor amount of bitumen in the reservoirs is formed by thermal evolution of the crude oils sourced from the Yingcheng （营城） Formation mudstones through the characterizations of the *** distribution of homogenization temperatures presents two peaks,one with the liquid hydrocarbon filling stage,and the other with gas filling ***,in Daerhan tectonic belt,the second peak is gas and carbon dioxide mixed filling period *** with the homogenization temperatures of salt water inclusions,the oil and gas filling period is from Qingshankou （青山口） Formation to Nenjiang （嫩江） Formation in the research *** the charging period,minor amount of inorganic carbon dioxide filled into the trap,but plenty of inorganic carbon dioxide from the end of Sifangtai （四方台） to Eogene periods was related with the structural movement.

Syn-mineralization Uplifting and Exhumation of Porphyry Systems in China:Evidence from fluid inclusion Data

In order to understand how the metallogenic process of porphyry deposit specifically and directly respond to regional uplifting and exhumation,we compiled previous fluid inclusion data of 32 porphyry deposits in China by recalculating the fluid trapping depths and trapping depth reduction magnitude from early to late mineralization stage *** data reveal that the average trapping pressure ratio(Ave TP_(E)/TP_(L))between early-and late-stage veins of the these deposits are 1.2-18.4,mainly in the range of 1.35-5.83,with average trapping pressure reduction(1-Ave TP_(L)/TP_(E))from early-to late-stage veins are 17%-95%,and mainly in the range of 25%-83%.The fluid trapping pressure based mineralization depths most of the porphyry deposits in China had decreased from early to late vein stages by at least 450 m(900-5800 m predominant),or greater than 950 m when take the average depth reduction value,which is greater than the current gap between early-and late-stage veins of each *** propose that the apparently greater mineralization depth reduction magnitude than the current elevation gaps between early and late veins are likely a consequence of synmineralization uplifting and exhumation process that often occurs in porphyry systems.

Source and Evolution of the Ore-Forming fluids of Carlin-Type Gold Deposit in the Youjiang Basin,South China:Evidences from Solute Data of fluid inclusion Extracts

The source and evolution of ore-forming fluids is important to understand the genesis of Carlin-type gold *** on the source and evolution of ore fluid components by the con-ventional geochemical methods have long been a challenge due to the very fine-grained nature and complex textures of hydrothermal minerals in these *** this study,we present the crush-leach analyzed solute data of fluid inclusion extracts within quartz,calcite,realgar,and fluorite from the Shuiyindong,Nibao,and Yata gold deposits in the Youjiang Basin,providing new insights into the source and evolution of ore-forming *** results show that the high molar Cl/Br ratios up to 2508 in fluid inclusion extracts are indicative of a contribution of magmatic hydrothermal ***-ids mixing between basinal and magmatic-hydrothermal fluids are evident on the plots of Cl/Br versus Na/K ratios,showing that ore-stage milky quartz near the magmatic-hydrothermal fluids reflects magma origin of the ore-forming fluids,whereas late ore-stage drusy quartz and realgar near the de-fined basinal fluids suggest the later input of basinal fluids in late-ore *** the predominate-ly host rocks in Shuiyindong,Nibao and Yata gold deposit are bioclastic limestone,sedimentary tuff,and calcareous siltstone,respectively,the solute data of fluid inclusion extracts records they underwent the similar fluid-rocks reactions between the Na-rich magmatic hydrothermal fluids and the Ca-and Mg-rich host *** study highlights the solute data of fluid inclusion extracts obtained by crush-leach analyses have the potential to fingerprint the source and evolution of ore-forming fluids of the Carlin-type gold deposit.

Application of fluid inclusion Analysis for Buried Dissolution Predicting in the Tahe Oilfield of Tarim Basin, NW China

This study was undertaken to establish an evaluation method for buried dissolution of carbonate reservoir in the Tahe （塔河） Oilfield. Because of the difficulty in tracing the dissolution in geologic record, the precipitation is taken as a useful indicator to presume the dissolution reversed. The fluid inclusions data is a useful tool to identify the precipitation. On the basis of the principle that the temperature data of fluid inclusions captured in the calcite fillings of caves and cracks can reflect the fluid activity time, a total of 256 fluid inclusions samples in 12 drills were collected and analyzed to study their forming time in buried environment in the Tahe Oilfield, Tarim Basin, NW China. Results show that the temperature data of fluid inclusions captured by Ordovician cave and crack fillings accumulated in six intervals, which indicated six stages of fluid activity in the area of study. Meanwhile, it is clear that a different number of temperature intervals was captured in different wells, representing a different number of precipitation distributed in space. According to this conclusion, the buried precipitation trend in late Himalayan stage （the sixth stage） was supposed in space and its effectiveness has been approved by the chemical thermodynamics method. This method was also used in all of the other five stages of fluid activity and the comprehensive trend of the buried precipitation in space for Ordovician strata was evaluated. It shows that more temperature intervals were captured in the southwestern region （wells S76, S79, S65 and S75） and the eastern region （well S69） in the area of study, indicating intensive precipitation and weak dissolution in this area. This evaluation method for buried dissolution is a new attempt and may have important implications for further petroleum exploration in the Tarim Basin.

Geological and fluid inclusion Constraints on Gold Deposition Processes of the Dayingezhuang Gold Deposit, Jiaodong Peninsula, China

The Dayingezhuang gold deposit,hosted mainly by Late Jurassic granitoids on Jiaodong Peninsula in eastern China,contains an estimated 170 t of gold and is one of the largest deposits within the Zhaoping fracture *** orebodies consist of auriferous altered pyrite–sericite–quartz granites that show Jiaojia-type(i.e.,disseminated and veinlet)*** and alteration are structurally controlled by the NE-to NNE-striking Linglong detachment *** mineralization can be divided into four stages:(K-feldspar)–pyrite–sericite–quartz,quartz–gold–pyrite,quartz–gold–polymetallic sulfide,and quartz–carbonate,with the majority of the gold being produced in the second and third *** on a combination of petrography,microthermometry,and laser Raman spectroscopy,three types of fluid inclusion were identified in the vein minerals:NaCl–H2 O(A-type),CO2–H2 O–NaCl(AC-type),and pure CO2(PC-type).Quartz crystals in veinlets that formed during the first stage contain mainly AC-type fluid inclusions,with rare PC-type *** fluid inclusions homogenize at temperatures of 251°C–403°C and have low salinities of 2.2–9.4 wt%NaCl *** crystals that formed in the second and third stages contain all three types of fluid inclusions,with total homogenization temperatures of 216°C–339°C and salinities of 1.8–13.8 wt%NaCl equivalent for the second stage and homogenization temperatures of 195°C–321°C and salinities of 1.4–13.3 wt%NaCl equivalent for the third *** contrast,quartz crystals that formed in the fourth stage contains mainly A-type fluid inclusions,with minor occurrences of AC-type inclusions;these inclusions have homogenization temperatures of 106°C–287°C and salinities of 0.5–7.7 wt%NaCl *** in the ore-forming fluids may have changed from Au(HS)0 as the dominant species under acidic conditions and at relatively high temperatures and f O2 in the early stages,to Au(HS)2–under neutral-pH conditions at lower temperatures
