Analysis of the Rigidity of a Straight Beam flexible hinge with Different Geometrical Parameters

flexible hinges are widely used in micro motion robotics. Its rigidity directly influences an organization＇s terminal localization. Its actual structure geometry size cannot satisfy the theoretical analysis completely in a theoretical supposition condition. In this paper, we analyzed the rotation rigidity of a corner-filleted straight beam flexible hinge in different parameters using finite element software ANSYS. The errors are discovered and compared with theoretical results. Through the graph of the flexible hinge parameters and its performance, an analysis of changes of parameters on the performance of a corner-filleted flexible hinge was carried out. The key manufacture parameters that affect the performance of a corner-filleted flexure hinge the most and rules of design are given, which can provide directions of design precision for the flexure hinge.

A new route for length measurement by phase-shifting interferometry

By the mathematic models of flexible hinge,the accurate relationship between the phase-shifting and pressure acting on the hinge is deduced and verified by experimental *** the optimization of the geometric parameter of flexible hinge,a phase-shifting generator is developed to determine the length of an object precisely by *** experiments show that the triple phase-shifting produced using this generator is up to 1 *** this generator,an example for the application in length measurement is *** result shows the length uncertainty is 0.5 nm when the temperature uncertainty is limited in 2 *** paper provides a novel technique to measure the dimension of an object,especially to the diameter of a silicon sphere for Avogadro constant project.

The flexible hinge has been proved to be more suitable for the clamping design than the ***,it still lacks in-depth research on how the flexible hinge affects the motor’s *** this paper,the laser interferometer is used to measure the real-time displacement of the slide,from which the speed and acceleration curves can be compared to research on this ***,the maximum output speed of motors is respectively 570mm/s,480mm/s,360mm/s,and the maximum output force of 12N,16N,*** results show that the linear ultrasonic motors with larger transverse stiffness will get lower speed but larger force output,whose output will also be more stable.

In this paper,a new multi-degree-of-freedom（MDOF）ultrasonic motor is *** motor is composed of four rectangular vibrators which are arranged as the Chinese word’ten’.The stator is driven by a composite of bending vibrations in two orthogonal *** the design process,the finite element model is established to find the anti-symmetric and symmetric modes of the *** dimensions that affect modal frequencies are selected and *** harmonic response simulation,the running state of the stator under sinusoidal signal is obtained and results show bending vibration is *** to the analysis results,a motor prototype is *** hinges are used to improve the motor structure at the connecting *** prototype has good output characteristics and the speed of the rotor can reach 0.122r/s under 400V *** new motor has a certain reference value in the research of MDOF ultrasonic motors.
