Influence of topography on the fine structures of stratospheric gravity waves:An analysis using COSMIC-2 temperature data

We derive the potential energy of gravity waves(GWs)in the upper troposphere and stratosphere at 45°S-45°N from December 2019 to November 2022 by using temperature profiles retrieved from the Constellation Observing System for Meteorology,Ionosphere,and Climate-2(COSMIC-2)*** to the dense sampling of COSMIC-2,in addition to the strong peaks of gravity wave potential energy(GWPE)above the Andes and Tibetan Plateau,we found weak peaks above the Rocky,Atlas,Caucasus,and Tianshan *** land-sea contrast is responsible for the longitudinal variations of the GWPE in the lower and upper *** 40°N/S,the peaks were mainly above the topographic regions during the *** 20°N/S,the peaks were a slight distance away from the topographic regions and might be the combined effect of nontopographic GWs and mountain *** the Equator,the peaks were mainly above the regions with the lowest sea level altitude and may have resulted from *** results indicate that even above the local regions with lower sea level altitudes compared with the Andes and Tibetan Plateau,the GWPE also exhibits fine structures in geographic *** found that dissipation layers above the tropopause jet provide the body force to generate secondary waves in the upper stratosphere,especially during the winter months of each hemisphere and at latitudes of greater than 20°N/S.

The fine structures of doubly excited resonances of lithium-like beryllium are calculated using the saddle-point and saddle-point complex-rotation methods. A restricted variational method is used to obtain a more accurate value for the nonrelativistic energy. Relativistic and mass polarization corrections to the resonance energy are included. Transition wavelengths are also calculated and compared with other theories and experimental results.

Vortical structures and density fluctuations analysis of supersonic forward-facing step controlled by self-sustaining dual synthetic jets

Shock wave/boundary layer interaction(SWBLI)is still one of the unresolved bottlenecks that restrict the development of more advanced flight *** forward-facing step(FFS),an extreme case of compression ramp,often occurs severe SWBLIs with a large separation *** this paper,experimental investigations on vortical structures and density fluctuations characteristics of supersonic FFS controlled by self-sustaining dual synthetic jets(SDSJ)are carried out in a Mach number 2.95 wind *** spatial–temporal resolution flowfield images of FFS without/with active flow control are captured by adopting nano-particle-based planar laser scattering *** control effects of the distance between the actuator and the step are mainly *** paper finds that the SDSJ can effectively change the feature of flowfield,eliminate the separation shock and the reattachment shock,compel the original shock induced by the step leading edge to distort and reduce its intensity *** fluctuations analysis demonstrates that the whole flows seem to move upstream with the increase of distance(dS-J).Discrete Fourier transformation spectrums results reveal that the fluctuations are mainly located in the low-frequency region at ***-frequency components and frequency bandwidth increase slightly after the SDSJ are applied.

Spin pumping(SP)and inverse spin Hall effect(ISHE)driven by parametrically-excited dipole-exchange spin waves in a yttrium iron garnet film have been systematically *** measured voltage spectrum exhibits a feature of the field-induced transition from parallel pumping to perpendicular pumping because of the inhomogeneous excitation *** to the high precision of the SP-ISHE detection,two sets of fine structures in the voltage spectrum are observed,which can correspond well to two kinds of critical points in the multimode spin-wave spectrum for magnetic *** is the q=0 point of each higher-order dispersion branch,and the other is the local minimum due to the interplay between the dipolar and exchange *** fine structures on the voltage spectrum confirm the spin pumping by higher-order dipole-exchange spin-wave modes,and are helpful for probing the multimode spin-wave spectrum.

＜正＞ The application of atomic force microscopy （AFM） in clinical diagnosis is far from being developed. Suitable solutions for the observing of ervthrocyte by AFM are necessary. In this study, following solutions, 1% formaldehyde, citrate buffer, 5%dextrose and TAE, were found to keep human erythrocytes in normal shape with few particles. Processed by these solutions, fine structures of human erythrocyte’s membrane were obtained. The results will offer meaningful data for clinical diagnosis of blood by AFM.

In order to fully understand the basic material science problems behind this topics, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) becomes the must and one of the most important technique to analyze the nano-size structure and composition using the most advanced high resolution TEM technique with nano-beam EDS and energy filter EELS to study the fine structures, crystallography, chemical composition, and optical properties of many different nano-materials in different industries applications.
