Objective:To describe the outcome of female anterior wall(pubic side)onlay urethroplasty with buccal mucosal graft using laterally extended surgical dissection in patients with previously failed minimally invasive ***:From January 2016 to April 2018,17 symptomatic patients with previously failed minimally invasive procedures were enrolled in the *** diagnosis of urethral stricture was confirmed based on a combination of patients’symptoms,post-void residual urine,video-urodynamics,and *** with lower lip mucosal graft was performed using the modified laterally extended *** were evaluated pre-operatively and 12-month post-operatively with the American Urological Association symptom score,post-void residual urine,and maximum flow ***:Despite the previously failed minimally invasive procedures,urethroplasty with lower lip buccal graft and laterally extended dissection resulted in favorable outcomes(success rateZ94%).The meanstandard deviation of American urological association symptom score improved from pre-operative levels at the 12-month post-operative follow-up(25.823.97 to 10.885.57);so did postvoid residual urine(71.1274.98 mL to 15.0028.30 mL),and maximum flow rate(7.881.72 mL/s to 25.825.59 mL/s)with all statistically significant(pfemale urethroplasty with buccal graft could be highly successful in experienced *** anterior approach could be superior to the posterior one due to higher mechanical support and lower sacculation rate.A laterally extended incision may improve visualization and better graft placement by providing wider working *** results should be evaluated in the future studies with larger sample size.

female urethral stricture(FUS)is a rare *** was not studied robustly for many years,but interest has grown recently in the reconstructive urology community,leading to an increase in *** this review,we gather the latest data regarding FUS and its different therapeutic *** are summarized,split by *** also review the recently published European *** addition,we share our preferred surgical technique and our views on future *** FUS can often be challenging and requires a high index of clinical *** vague clinical symptoms and empiric initial treatments combine to make FUS an underdiagnosed *** lack of consensus on how to define FUS also compounds the *** diagnosis requires thorough investigation,and ancillary studies such as video urodynamics,cystoscopy,and voiding cystourethrogram may be *** options range from conservative management to definitive procedures,although studies have shown that conservative measures such as urethral dilation have a low success rate *** definitive management,augmented urethroplasty-using either flaps or grafts,has proven to be the gold *** have shown excellent results over time;however,there is insufficient data available to recommend one over the *** data has an overall poor level of *** challenging due to the rarity of the problem,a proper randomized controlled clinical trial comparing the principal surgical options and their outcomes would be beneficial and would allow for more informed decision making when considering options for women with urethral stricture.
