Remarks on exactly Solvable Noncommutative Quantum Field

We study exactly the solvable noncommutative scalar quantum field models of （2n） or （2n ＋ 1） dimensions. By writing out an equivalent action of the noncommutative field, it is shown that the special condition B. 0 = 4-1 in field theoretic context means the full restoration of the maximal U（∞） gauge symmetries broken due to kinetic term. It is further shown that the model can be obtained by dimensional reduction of a 2n-dimensional exactly solvable noncommutative φ4 quantum field model closely related to the 1＋1-dimensional Moyal/matrix-valued nonlinear Schr6dinger （MNLS） equation. The corresponding quantum fundamental commutation relation of the MNLS model is also given explicitly.

The O( N) invariant quartic anharmonic oscillator is shown to be exactly solvable if the interaction parameter satisfies special conditions.The problem is directly related to that of a quantum double well anharmonic oscillator in an external field.A finite dimensional matrix equation for the problem is constructed explicitly,along with analytical expressions for some excited states in the system.The corresponding Niven equations for determining the polynomial solutions for the problem are given.

More and more evidence has suggested that iron deposition in the substantia nigra,which is correlated with motor and cognitive dysfunction,is an important trigger factor,potential biomarker,and therapeutic target for Parkinson's disease(PD)[1-3].Although the cellular mechanisms of nigral iron deposition have been well investigated,the exactly mechanisms,especially the origin of the increased nigral iron,have not been fully elucidated.

We construct a class of exactly solvable generalized Kitaev spin-1/2 models in arbitrary dimensions, which is beyond the category of quantum compass models. The Jordan-Wigner transformation is employed to prove the exact solvability. An exactly solvable quantum spin-1/2 model can be mapped to a gas of free Majorana fermions coupled to static Z2 gauge fields. We classify these exactly solvable models according to their parent models. Any model belonging to this class can be generated by one of the parent models. For illustration, a two dimensional(2D) tetragon-octagon model and a three dimensional(3D) xy bond model are studied.

Sixty years has passed since the cracking of the genetic code by Nirenberg and Matthaei in 1961;however,the origin of the code remains one of the greatest mysteries.It is great for a cell to innovate protein synthesis manipulated by RNA,and vice versa,which is a still unsolved“chicken-and-egg”paradox.Finding a solution is of crucial importance.Yet,most biologists hold a pessimistic view that no one knows exactly how the genetic code came into being,as an exact reconstruction of the process of the construction of genetic code may never be possible,or as there is no evidence in physics or chemistry of the control of chemical reactions by a sequence of any sort or of a code between sequences,and many papers have been published with titles indicating that their subject is the origin of the genetic code,while the content actually deals only with the evolution of the genetic code1.

Size Dependency of Income Distribution and Its Implications

We systematically study the size dependency of income distributions,i.***.income distribution versus the population of a country.Using the generalized Lotka--Uolterra model to fit the empirical income data for 1996-2007 in the U.S.A,we find an important parameter A that can scale with aβpower of the size(population)of the U.S.A.in that year.We point out that the size dependency of income distributions,which is a very important property but seldom addressed in previous studies,has two non-trivial implications:(1)the allometric growth pattern,i.***.the power-law relationship between population and GDP in different years,can be mathematically derived from the size-dependent income distributions and also supported by the empirical data;(2)the connection with the anomalous scaling for the probability density function in critical phenomena,since the re-scaled form of the income distributions has asymptotically exactly the same mathematical expression for the limit distribution of the sum of many correlated random variables.
