Accounting for about half of mass loss in Antarctic,glacier calving is an important ablation process for the ice sheet(Liu et al.,2015).Thanks to the revolutionized era of satellite remote sensing,the 21st century witnessed dozens of prominent calving events.However,calving could occur as a natural behavior of the glacier to maintain itself in a steady state,rather than forced by external environment factors.

Background and objective To assess the predictive value of C-reactive protein(CRP) for major adverse cardiac events and the association between CRP level and the coronary lesion morphology and extent in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods CRP was measured on admission in 177 consecutive elderly (age≥60 years) patients with CHD who underwent coronary angiography. Patients were divided into high CRP group (CRP≥3mg/L) and normal CRP group (CRP ＜3mg/L). The association between CRP levels and the coronary lesion features, including severity of stenosis (mild, moderate, severe), extent of lesion (diffused or nondiffused), eccentricity of the plaque (eccentric or non-eccentric) were analyzed. Patients were followed up for a mean of 8 months for the occurrences of major adverse cardiac events (MACE). Results Compared with patients in normal CRP group, patients in high CRP group were more frequently to have unstable angina, multi-vessel, diffuse, eccentric lesions, positive remodeling, and non-smooth plaques (P＜0.01). Kaplan-Meier analysis showed patients in high CRP group had a significantly lower MACE-free survival rate than patients in normal CRP group (Log-rank = 12.0, P＜0.01); Cox regression analysis indicated CRP level as an independent predictor for the occurrence of MACE (OR=3.16, P＜0.05) Conclusions High CRP level is associated with more extend, severe and eccentric coronary lesions and is an independent predictor for MACE in elderly patients with CHD.

Social media forums have emerged as the most popular form of communication in the modern technology era,allowing people to discuss and express their opinions.This increases the amount of material being shared on social media sites.There is a wealth of information about the threat that may be found in such open data sources.The security of already-deployed software and systems relies heavily on the timely detection of newly-emerging threats to their safety that can be gleaned from such information.Despite the fact that several models for detecting cybersecurity events have been presented,it remains challenging to extract security events from the vast amounts of unstructured text present in public data sources.The majority of the currently available methods concentrate on detecting events that have a high number of dimensions.This is because the unstructured text in open data sources typically contains a large number of dimensions.However,to react to attacks quicker than they can be launched,security analysts and information technology operators need to be aware of critical security events as soon as possible,regardless of how often they are reported.This research provides a unique event detection method that can swiftly identify significant security events from open forums such as Twitter.The proposed work identified new threats and the revival of an attack or related event,independent of the volume of mentions relating to those events on Twitter.In this research work,deep learning has been used to extract predictive features from open-source text.The proposed model is composed of data collection,data transformation,feature extraction using deep learning,Latent Dirichlet Allocation(LDA)based medium-level cyber-event detection and final Google Trends-based high-level cyber-event detection.The proposed technique has been evaluated on numerous datasets.Experiment results show that the proposed method outperforms existing methods in detecting cyber events by giving 95.96% accuracy.

Irinotecan is now regarded as the most active drug for the treatment of colorectal cancer.However,one of the most difficult issues oncologists face is deciding the optimal dose for an individual patient,as each individual shows different outcomes even at the same dose with regard to treatment related adverse events,ranging from no toxicity to a lethal event.Inherited genetic polymorphism of a single gene or multiple genes(haplotype or linkage disequilibrium) involved in SN-38 glucuronidation,a predominant route of irinotecan detoxification,is now recognized as a significant factor that can alter the incidence of side effects.Attempts to explore such inherited genetic variability have been focused on elucidating interindividual as well as interethnic differences.Genotyping studies in relation to adverse events in an individual or in a group of similar ethnicity should contribute to establishing individualoriented or ethnicity-oriented irinotecan treatment regimens.This review highlights current single-or multi-tired approaches for the elucidation of genetic predispositions of patients to severe toxicities,especially among Asians.The purpose of this is to contribute to minimizing toxicity by dose modifications,with the consequent aim of maximizing dose intensity and efficacy,an ultimate goal of irinotecan-individualized therapy.
