Three secondary amine terminated hyperbranched poly（ester-amine）s （defined as HPEA1, HPEA2 and HPEA3） were synthesized from piperazine （A2） and trimethylolpropane triacrylate （TMPTA, B3） at their molar ratios of 2.5：1, 2.25：1 and 2.0：1, respectively. The polymers were analyzed by 1H NMR, GPC, DSC and TGA. The results indicated that the ratio of secondary amine to tertiary amine and the content of secondary amine decreased, while the molecular weight, molecular weight distribution and glass transition temperature （Tg） increased from HPEA1 to HPEA3. Due to their reactive terminal groups and flexible chains, these polymers further reacted with an epoxy resin （E51） to form cured films under ambient conditions. With increasing the ratio between secondary amine groups and epoxy groups from 1：2 to 2：1, the gel content, film hardness and onset decomposing temperature of the cured samples increased. The good film performances should make the polymers as the components of non-solvent coating materials.

Quest for bio-based halogen-free green flame retardant has attracted many concerns in recent *** a reactive functional flame retardant containing phosphorus VDP is synthesized from vanillin,9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphophene-10-oxide(DOPO)and phenol via a facile *** is characterized with^(1)H NMR,^(31)P NMR,FTIR and Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry,and used as a new reactive flame retardant for bisphenol epoxy *** analysis shows that when the VDP loading is only 0.5P%(based on phosphorus content),the residue increases from 14.2%to 21.1%at 750℃ in N_(2)compare with neat ***,the limit oxygen index increased to 29.6%,and flame retardancy reaches UL-94 V0 *** combustion calorimetry(MCC)and cone calorimetry analyses demonstrate that VDP can significantly lower flammability of the epoxy *** only 0.5P%of VDP,the heat release rate,total heat release rate and smoke production are reduced *** the same time,the mechanical properties of the modified epoxy thermosets are also *** impact strength increases by 34%and the flexural strength increased by 23%,with 1.5P%of *** short,VDP not only improves the flame retardancy,but also improves the mechanical properties of the epoxy thermosets.

Preparation and Properties of epoxy Piezoelectric Vibration Reduction Composites

Lignin-based epoxy resin（LEP） was prepared from acetic acid lignin（AAL）.AAL was prepared from the atmospheric acetic acid pulping of eucalyptus *** was first phenolated with phenol to obtain phenolized lignin（PL）.Then PL was epoxidised with epichlorohydrin （ECH） in alkali medium to obtained *** LEP was mixed with diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A（E-44） and the mixture was cured with triethylenetetramin（TETA） as the *** initial thermal degradation temperatures （r/s） of the epoxy blends were declined with the increasing LEP content in the *** mass residue at 500℃(MR) was raised with the increasing LEP content. The adhesive shear strength of the blends was improved with LEP in content of up to 40%,and the maximum occurred at a LEP content of 20%.

The epoxy resin (E-51) was used as polymer matrix,conductive carbon black (CB) as conductive filler,and PZT was used to prepare a composite by *** effects of PZT and CB content on the properties of PZT/ CB/ EP piezoelectric composite were *** the PZT content reaches 40 wt%,the optimized vibration attenuation properties of PZT/CB/EP materials could be achieved with a loss factor of 0.9 from room temperature to 60 ℃.With the increase of PZT content,the bending strength of PZT/CB/EP piezoelectric composite vibration reduction material firstly increased from 45 MPa to 65 MPa and then decreased to 38 *** room temperature,the dielectric constant increased from 7 to 50,and the dielectric loss increased from 0.1 to 0.5.

A new kind of nanocomposite based on epoxy resins and elastomeric nanoparticles was prepared.A combination of physical techniques,such as transmission electron microscopy(TEM),scanning electron microscope(SEM),was employed to characterize the sample of the *** observation revealed the morphological structure of the materialsnanoparticles were distributed in the matrix on nanoscale *** revealed the brittle-ductile fracture surface of the neat epoxy and blending *** the other hand,the impact strength,shear strength,and the tensile strength were also tested *** results showed all of them were increased in an event in respect to original cured polymer materials.A strong interface adhesion may be formed because of the hydrogen bonding and the reaction between carboxyl of carboxylic butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber elastomeric nanoparticles and the epoxy *** special interface of adduct and the matrix conduced to transmission of stress when the materials were loaded,and inhibition of deformation and decomposition of epoxy resins matrix when heated.

The title compound, 2-（3-silatranylpropylamino）-4-dichlorophenyl-5,5-dimethyl- 1,3,2-dioxaphosphorinane-2-oxide （2（C20H33N2O6Psi）？C2H6O？CH4O, Mr = 991.20）, has been synthe- sized by the nucleophilic substitution reaction of 2-chloro-4-phenyl-5,5-dimethyl-1,3,2-dioxa- phosphorinane-2-oxide with γ-aminopropylsilatrane, and its crystal structure was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to the triclinic system, space group P with a = 10.3783（15）, b = 11.2402（17）, c = 12.1675（18）？, ？ = 70.653（4）, ？ = 82.908（4）, ？ = 85.690（4）？, V = 1328.1（3）？3, Z = 1, Dc = 1.239 g/cm3, μ = 0.19 mm？1, F（000） = 532, the final R = 0.0640 and wR = 0.2090 for 3615 observed reflections with I 〉 2？（I）. The cyclic dioxaphosphorinane ring in the molecule adopts a thermodynamically stable cis conformation, while the silatrane fragment forms a cage-like structure in which there exists an intramolecular Si？N donor-acceptor bond. In the crystal structure, centrosymmetrically related molecules are linked by pairs of N–H？？？O hydrogen bonds into dimers, generating rings with graph-set motif R22（8）. Furthermore, a couple of O（7）–H（10）？？？O（3） hydrogen bonds were formed by O atom of P=O and H atom from hydroxyl in the solvent ethanol. Thermal property of the compound was also studied by means of thermogravimetry （TGA）. The thermal analysis and preliminary fireproofing test show that the title compound has good flame retardance.

An experimental study was conducted to improve the electrical insulation of epoxy resin. The effects of boehmite, γ-alumina and α-alumina nanoparticles on the volume resistivity, dielectric strength and glass transition temperature of epoxy nanocomposites were investigated. The results showed that α-alumina nanoparticles displayed obvious advantages in enhancing electrical insulation performance of epoxy nanocomposites, compared to boehmite and γ-alumina nanoparticles. The direct current volume resistivity and breakdown strength of epoxy nanocomposite with 2.0 wt% α-alumina nanoparticles was improved to 2.2 × 10;Ω cm and76.1 kV mm;respectively. And these improved values of electrical insulation properties are much higher than these of epoxy nanocomposites reported in previous studies. The main reason of these improvements may be that the epoxy/α-alumina interaction zone was enhanced by crosslink.

A new method concerning with the simultaneous reinforcing and toughening of polypropylene （PP） was reported. Dynamical cure of the epoxy resin was successfully applied in the PP/maleic anhydride-grafted styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene （SEBS） triblock copolymer, and the obtained blends named as dynamically cured PP/MAH-g-SEBS/epoxy blends. The stiffness and toughness of the blends are in a good balance, and MAH-g-SEBS was acted as not only an impact modifier but also a compatibilizer. The structure of the dynamically cured PP/MAH-g-SEBS/epoxy blends is the embedding of the epoxy particles by the MAH-g- SEBS.C2009 Xue Liang Jiang. The bio-based epoxy nanocomposite(GAER/DOPO-POSS)was prepared from gallic epoxy resin(GAER)and polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane(which containing 9,10-dihydrogen-9-oxo-10-phosphorus-phenanthrene-10-oxide groups,called DOPO-POSS).The polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane containing epoxy groups(E-POSS)was grafted onto aminated graphene oxide(E-GO),then the novel POSS-E-GO was *** POSS-E-GO was used as modifier for GAER/DOPO-POSS *** influences of POSS-E-GO content on mechanical properties,dynamic mechanical properties and thermal stability of GAER/DOPO-POSS nanocomposites were *** experimental results show that POSS-E-GO can significantly improve the toughness of the GAER/DOPO-POSS *** 0.5wt% POSS-E-GO was added in GAER/DOPO-POSS nanocomposite,the impact strength of the nanocomposite was 4.74 kJ/m^(2) higher than that in the absence of POSS-E-GO,meantime the initial thermal degradation temperature was 277℃.
