environmental conditions determine woody plant life such as species diversity,structure and regeneration *** research aimed to assess the impact of environmental conditions on woody plant species diversity,structure and regeneration in forest patches of Guna Mountain:the case of Este District,South Gondar Zone,north-west Ethiopia.A total of 71 square sample plots(400 m~2 each) were established at 10 transects laid in five forest patches of the study area to collect vegetation data including the abundance of species,height and diameter at breast height(DBH).environmental data including available potassium,available phosphorus,cation exchange capacity,soil texture,electrical conductivity,soil acidity,total nitrogen,organic matter,organic carbon,sodium adsorption ratio,exchangeable sodium percentage,bulk density,aspect,elevation,slope,latitude and longitude data were collected in the same plots.A correlation analysis between vegetation and environmental data was performed using rcorr(x) function in package Hmisc in R Programming *** most pronounced impacts were observed in altitude,grazing and pH,positively and silt,sand,electrical conductivity and cation exchange capacity,*** addition,strong and significant impacts on plant structure were also observed due to the variation in soil texture and p *** difference in aspect,sand and slope also impacted plant *** study showed that environmental parameters influence the diversity,structure and regeneration of woody *** parameters can be considered in the rehabilitation of the vegetation cover and conservation efforts of the rare woody *** measures that can minimalize the negative influences of environmental conditions can be applied through collaboration with communities around the forest patches.

A three-dimension ecological dynamic model was established to numerically study the relationship of HAB and environmental *** numerical experiments showed that the growth of diatom,the dominant HAB specie,was mainly restricted by phosphate and *** the concentrations of phosphate and silicate reach 17-25 μg/L and 300-375 μg/L respectively,the water is in a state of *** phosphate and silicate up to 26-32 μg/L and 350-500 μg/L respectively,HAB could be *** major regions of HAB occurrence are Jiaozhou Bay mouth,coastal bays,and coastal area from Maidao to *** avoid HAB occurrence,concentration of phosphate and silicate should not exceed 17-20 μg/L and 300 μg/L as a *** control of pollutant discharge is a key point to prevent water eutrophication and HAB occurrence.

Identification of significant biological relationships or patterns is central to many metagenomic *** that estimate association networks have been proposed for this purpose;however,they assume that associations are static,neglecting the fact that relationships in a microbial ecosystem may vary with changes in environmental factors(EFs),which can result in inaccurate ***,in this study,we propose a computational model,called the k-Lognormal-Dirichlet-Multinomial(kLDM)model,which estimates multiple association networks that correspond to specific environmental conditions,and simultaneously infers microbe-microbe and EF-microbe associations for each *** effectiveness of the kLDM model was demonstrated on synthetic data,a colorectal cancer(CRC)dataset,the Tara Oceans dataset,and the American Gut Project *** results revealed that the widely-used Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient method performed much worse than the other methods,indicating the importance of separating samples by environmental *** fecal samples were then compared with cancer-free samples,and the estimation achieved by kLDM exhibited fewer associations among microbes but stronger associations between specific bacteria,especially five CRC-associated operational taxonomic units,indicating gut microbe translocation in cancer *** EF-dependent associations were then found within a marine eukaryotic ***,the gut microbial heterogeneity of inflammatory bowel disease patients was *** results demonstrate that kLDM can elucidate the complex associations within microbial *** kLDM program,R,and Python scripts,together with all experimental datasets,are accessible at https://***/tinglab/***.

This paper reviews the principle and application of the thermally activated desiccant cooling systems with their capability to perform efficiently in hot-humid *** paper first introduces the continuous increase of thermal comfort required in building and their relation with the consumption of conventional energy *** importance of desiccant cooling technology and its applications has been introduced as *** energy and environmental issues with the conventional energy supply and the demand with the environmental problems and conditions mainly related to indoor air quality have been also discussed in the second chapter of this *** third part of this paper deals with different techniques and systems applied for cooling and dehumidification including the principles of solid and liquid desiccant ***,these systems perform well in hothumid *** result of a case study of the solid desiccant cooling system combined with solar energy for the desiccant wheel regeneration has been presented in the last chapter in this paper to show the capability of these systems once well applied in a hot-humid climate.

Unlike developed countries,the process of ageing in the developing country is a major and serious concern where the health infrastructure,geriatric system and social security remain *** paper aims to assess the gaps in quality of life among the elderly by socio-economic and demographic characteristics and to know the issues and challenges in the selected developing countries where Study on Global Ageing and Adult Health(SAGE)namely China,India,Ghana,South Africa,Mexico,and Russia has been *** overall score indicates that there is a little variation in the quality of life across the countries,ranging from 52.1(China)to 45.5(Ghana).However,there is considerable variation in the quality-of-life score by socio-economic *** the existing policy perspectives,different aspects of old age policies are varied across the selected *** rapid expan-sion of the private sector into these areas is unlikely to benefit the bulk of the *** countries like India,South Africa and Mexico,where the private sector plays a major role,lack health care support for the ***,financial support sig-nificantly contributes to the quality of life in terms of policy intervention in those ***,the respective governments need to address urgently the areas like health care,financial and social security to achieve the healthy lives and wellbeing for all of the sustainable development goals by 2030.

Objective:To assess the community structure,seasonal dynamics of dinoflagellates population with environmental conditions in the nutrient-rich and polluted coastal waters off,***:Sampling sites were located from Karachi harbour(Station A)and Mouth of Manora Channel(Station B).Total 180 replicate samples were collected at 1-m depth through Niskin bottle sampler(1.7 L)and fixed with 2%lugol’s preservative then examined under light inverted microscopy,scanning electron and epiflourescence ***:The environmental conditions,such as temperature[(20-27)°C],salinity[(35-40)psu],chlorophyll a[(1-103)μg/L],pH(6.03-8.13)and dissolve oxygen[(0.7-5.5)mg/L]were recorded from both stations.A total of 96 species were identified into potential harmful toxic/non-toxic bloom forming species and cysts *** dinoflagellate cells between two coastal sites were much concentrated at the adjacent area of mouth of Manora Channel compare to harbor *** dinoflagellate cell concentration ranging from 20 to~55000 cells/L and the maximum values observed in two season,(~55000 cells/L)in autumn and(~3000 cells/L)in winter *** *** the predominant taxa with the maximum abundance(48166 cells/L)observed in autumn season following by Scrippsiella trochoidea(1200 cells/L),Alexandrium ostenfeldii(3000 cells/L)in winter season,and Ceratium furca(640 cells/L),Protoperidinium steinii(780 cells/L),Ceratium fusus(906 cells/L),Pyrophacus steinii(840 cells/L),Gonyaulax spinifera(666 cells/L),Alexandrium tamarense(520 cells/L)and Dinophysis caudata(393 cells/L)in summer and spring ***,abundance of dinoflagellates correlated significant to chlorophyll a with chlorophyll a and temperature but inverse relation to salinity and pH observed from both ***:The present study reports on the prevalence and significance of harmful algae bloom forming taxa in the area which would be available for the coastal zone managers and fishery indust

Typhoon-induced heavy rains are mostly studied from the viewpoint of upper-level westerly troughs. It is worthwhile to probe into a case where the rain is caused by tropical cyclone system, which is much heavier. During August 3 ~ 5, 1996, an unusually heavy rainstorm happened in the southwest of Hebei province. It was caused by 3 mesoscale convective cloud clusters on the periphery of a tropical cyclone other than the direct effects of a westerly trough. Generating in a weak baroclinic environment that is unstable with high energy, the cloud clusters were triggered off for development by unstable ageostrophic gravity waves in the low-level southeast jet stream on the periphery of the typhoon. There was a vertical circulation cell with horizontal scale close to 1000 km between the rainstorm area and westerly trough in northeast China. As shown in a computation of the Q vector of frontogenesis function, the circulation cell forms a mechanism of transforming energy between the area of interest and the westerly trough system farther away in northeast China. Study of water vapor chart indicates that high-latitude troughs in the northeast portion of the rain migrate to the southeast to enhance anti-cyclonic divergence in upper-level convection over the area of heavy rain and cause rain clusters, short-lived otherwise, to develop vigorously. It is acting as an amplifier in this case of unusually strong process of rain.
